The best thing is definitely is an accsess to the beach and rinse stations. The swimming pool is great, there are 2 hot tubs as well. The room was a good size with a fully equipped kitchenette, including pots and utensils. It was even a dishwasher in the room, but it was broken. The full-size clean refrigerator is a great bonus. Housekeeping-wise, the room and bathroom were clean. I liked the balcony with a partial ocean view. Dated and rusty kitchen amenities did not really bother us because we were not planning to cook. Overall, for the beach front hotel, it was a very affordable stay, and all we needed was just a place to sleep and access the beach.

Everything in the room is very dated. The stove had foil wrapped around burners. The dishwasher did not work. All kitchen equipment looked like it was there from the 70s, and the microwave and stove were rusty. I accidentally touched the bottom of the stove and ended up with something greesy and gooey on my hand. The room itself has an air conditioner that is blowing directly, I tried to set a fan on the low, but there was no difference. The couch had stains all over. It looked like it was just a very old couch. My daughter refused to sit on it, but it converted into a bed with nice clean sheets, but bo extra blanket, so bring your own. The water in the shower was draining slowly.

well unfortunately my guest where visiting at a bad time when hotel didn’t have water for about 7 hours and honestly I think hotel should let us purchase wrist bands to get in the pool like a day pass for our visitors! I showed them the hotel cause they rented Hilton which btw it’s beautiful and they do let visitors use pool but much expensive so they where kinda considering another stay at south padre but will see!!

Everything was GREAT time from the minute we checked in, the staff was welcoming the entire stay. The room was nice, clean and perfect. Had a partial ocean view which was nice. Just a 5 minute walk to the beach which is great. Hotel has pool , zacuzzi and a pool table inside lobb Is open till midnight.. The evening desk clerk named George was very nice and recommended nice restaurants in the area. I highly recommend this hotel . We had a queen bed and it was so comfortable. Has full size fridge, full size stove and a microwave. Kitchen is furnished with plates, cups, saucers, bowls, glasses and also has 2 skillets and 2 pots to cook in ( no silverware) Which makes it so concvient to cook .. Beautiful sunset and sunrise .

Everything was great

The room was very practical, including a stove, pans, and microwave. The balcony was little, but still had nice view of the ocean and surrounding hotels. The ocean was literally very close by and access to food from next door restaurant a plus. Hotel has access to two charcoal grills and places to sit down outside for cost savings. I felt my car was in good open type of parking lot. Very secure.

Our room was never cleaned the whole time there, 3 nights. We did not need it cleaned the second day, but asked the maids in the hallway to clean it the next day. They could speak no English and just nodded. We even left the tag on the door for the room to be serviced. We left that morning and came back that evening and nothing had been changed. We ran out of toilet paper and had to go get it ourselves. We were low on towels, and the trashcans were overflowing. Guests were very loud out in the hallway outside our door after 11:00 every night. They sounded like they were having a party in the hallway.

The balcony door is hard to open. I thought it was broke at first. Have to pull really hard. Breakfast daily would be nice. You can tell that the bathroom floor doesn't get swept very well, hair on floor from previous occupants. So it puts doubts about the carpet. The parking situation continues to be bothersome. No enforcement for non occupants taking up parking spaces. You don't feel comfortable leaving, thinking there won't be a space when you come back. I'm not saying we had an awful experience, just that some things can be improved.

Location was great. Right on the beach with pool and hot tub, pool table in lobby. Price was cheap compared to other places. Had a kitchen in room and full sized fridge.

The place is old and shows. Room had black mold near ceiling. Water dripping from ceiling because of proximity to beach,but this could be remedied with a working dehumidifier. The one in the room didn't work.

The staff was very friendly and allowed us an early check in. Centrally located within walking distance of main street, and with its own beach access.

Bathroom and kitchenette could use a little upgrade. Bed sheets, although clean, had cigarettes' burns and should be replaced. Breakfast buffet is just sufficient - OK if you're on a budget, if not, skip it.

The hotel has had a little facelift from the pictures on the site. Paint was fresh and had new carpet. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. After reading reviews we were a bit hesitant, but we’re pleasantly surprised when we got there. It’s not anew hotel, but I would recommend staying here if your here for the beach. The location is great and I’m walking distance of most anything you want. Security walked the premises often.

Staff was great. Very friendly and accommodating. There was some renovation going on during our stay, but it wasn't anything that made our stay less comfortable. We will definitely be staying again.

I guess the hot water. But there were signs all over letting us know how long to run the water before the hot water would start working. But that didn't make our stay less enjoyable.
