Overall, a wonderful stay at The Raven's Cliff lodge! My family stayed here for a week in two rooms which were quiet, comfortable and affordable. The restaurant was particularly terrific...the food was very tasty and filling! We ate many breakfasts and dinners here, the omelets were superb! Enjoyed getting to know the restaurant staff, and John in the mornings was especially friendly and hospitable! Highly recommend staying here to all who travel with families!
Maybe the speed of service sometimes in the mornings and having enough continental breakfast food available.

Good location and parking. Rooms lovely and clean Food good in evening
Check in process was complicated and we had booked an accessible room, 1 twin and 3 doubles. We booked in 3 rooms together and they were not sure who had the twin (despite ringing us to confirm we wanted this in the morning) and the online request via booking.com. We were told that they have no sight of this information. I therefore had to check which was the twin. Breakfast was a bit of a mess as the chef was ill and it took along time to sort the order and get the food but the manager was very apologetic and embarrassed.

Plenty of parking, got a space right outside the door. Large room and bathroom, great comfy bed and facilities all fine. Breakfast the first day was a bit sparse but only as a large coach group had just left who had demolished everything but anything we asked for the staff member sorted us out with. Breakfast on our second day was much better. Meals in the restaurant were fab, good food and friendly staff.
No plug to have a bath but not a big thing, just strange. Room a little tired, could do with a paint touch up and sealant/grouting in the bathroom but overall would still stay again.

I left a tupperware lunch/tea container in the room. After follow up, the cleaning staff had found it but the powers that be said they could not put it in a postbag? I had to send a prepaid envelope so they could return it. I travelled 430 miles to stay 1 night and the only blip was my tupperware box, which is probably in the bin now! Hey ho, too much trouble for some. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Wouldn't of been such a sacrifice to simply pop it in the post?!!??

Convenient location for anyone coming by car or taxi. Rooms are well sized and decently equipped for this price level. Beds are comfortable, and it's nice to have the option for a bath. Area is quiet (although we stayed midweek) so ideal to get a decent night's sleep. Restaurant/bar/reception across the carpark is comfortable and the food (both dinner and breakfast) is delicious. The breakfast included in the price is a continental one, so if you want a cooked breakfast it's better to pay for it on the day. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Quite a remote location but was a short taxi from the train station to get into Glasgow. Was about 30 mins to get into Glasgow on train. The staff were super nice and friendly had a good laugh with them and they were happy. the pub looks great and is literally over the road. The breakfast was cooked fresh and was very hot, no buffet for hot food. Tasted lovely! and a bargain price too. There were two single beds and a double for our family and felt a good size room. Was clean and quiet so a good nights sleep. There was a kettle with tea bags, coffee, hot choc in room. Free onsite parking.
Slightly further out for Glasgow centre than i would have liked, but not too much of a problem. Check in wasn't super easy as had to phone to get someone BUT was about 10.30pm.

Clean
Staff at the pub at the non reception. I do feel you should have made more of a fuss. Was very low key to the point of disinterest. Went there to eat too but put us in the dog area without asking. Said you were busy and we waited and waited to order then to eat, rest of area came and went. Still there when left the pub was barely occupied and who were there were locals chatting. So good service in fact could have been much better No interest in booking or showing us what was for breakfast

Excellent stay made even better by really friendly staff who went out of their way to accommodate our larger group whilst also taking time to chat with us. Staff gave the kids some fantastic taekwondo advice before a big tournament which made the stay even more special for the kids. Fantastic value for money both for the hotel room and the restaurant which served a great assortment of food all of which was high quality and well prices

Staff in the restaurant all friendly and helpful. Pillows on the beds were a combination or soft or firm which was great and the soft ones were properly soft this time so we slept great!
There was no doughballs or pizzas and that's exactly what my son had chosen from the menu in the room before we came over. He also was excited for breakfast but only a continental buffet to eat from.
