We randomly picked this place because we wanted to have another night near the water and a little closer to heading up to arenal. We were so surprised and absolutely loved this hotel and loved Herradura in general! The hotel had the kindest staff and felt luxurious. The aesthetic and decor was charming. The rooms were big, comfortable and ambient. The pool was so cute and nice and the breakfast was amazing! You can choose any breakfast from the menu! We were blown away. Just a short walk to the beach. We really enjoyed the chilled-nature of this town, especially compared to the nearby and busy Jacó. We had some of the best sangrias, saw mackaws flying around and had some good fishing there with locals! We were so bummed we only had one night here. We would absolutely recommend !

The location is perfect, 3 min drive to beach, or close enough to be shuttled in a golf cart by staff, or walk. Breakfast is included at Pepper’s restaurant- they will happily accommodate for vegan dishes. We had dinner in the restaurant and also dinner delivered to the room. The room is spacious with comfortable beds and a strong ac unit. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Love the pool and swim up bar to relax.

We were on the 2nd floor and the elevator was broken - it was fine to use the stairs but just a little difficult when bringing and taking luggage. There was a leak in the shower head that I’m confident will be fixed now that they know about it. I wish the jacuzzi was heated and about 5 degrees F warmer than the pool.

The room was beautiful, comfortable and clean, it had everything I needed for my stay, including a small kitchen with plates and silverware. The staff was friendly and very helpful! I got a massage there too and it was very good. The food was nice as well!

I liked everything about the hotel, my only warning for travelers is the location. It was great for what I needed, but I've seen some guests trying to walk to a clothing store. The hotel isn't really close to many things. There are a few restaurants, a mini market next door, a beach about 5-7 minutes away, but that's about it. For everything else, you'll need a car.

We got an awesome room upgrade from the hotel. Great living room to rest with a sofabed and watch TV with Netflix and IpTV available, we used the fridge and the kitchen a couple of times, and we got the necessary cookware for it. The room was big enough for 4 people and required 2 air conditioners to cool it. Also, having breakfast included is always a must for us. Thanks, great service.

One improvement item is the internet connection. Even having a good net, we found out that at night, when most of the people get in the other rooms, the internet fails and must wait a couple of minutes for it to start. And the only odd of this place is to understand the restroom is in the main floor, near the beds in the mezanine you dont have it, so if you need to go at night, you must climb down the stairs and return to bed.

The free breakfast was superb! The restaurant offered several menu options made to order. The room was large with 2 queen beds and a spacious living room for reading, relaxing, or computer work. There was a kitchen fully stocked. The pool was clean and the the lounge chairs were everywhere. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The “short walk” to the beach was actually several blocks - very difficult in the heat! But a shuttle driver was available to get us there quickly in the golf cart!

Lovely hotel just outside Jaco. Takes around 10 minutes drive. A 10 minute walk will get you to the beach where there’s a selection of lovely restaurants to choose from. Rooms are lovely clean and very modern. The breakfast is really good quality and a great selection.

The only downside is there’s not sun all day on the pool but that’s just personal preference.

Our experience at the Paradise Bay Hotel was truly exceptional. The room exceeded our expectations, as it was immaculately clean, well-organized, and equipped with everything we needed. The bed provided an exceptional level of comfort, ensuring a restful sleep. Being a new hotel, everything was in pristine condition, which added to our overall satisfaction. The staff members were incredibly friendly and accommodating, particularly the kind-hearted front desk lady who assisted us. The hotel's restaurant was a highlight of our stay, offering an amazing dining experience. We opted for their surf and turf special, which was simply spectacular. Our compliments go to the talented chef who prepared such delectable dishes. Furthermore, our server was outstanding, delighting us with his skillfully crafted margaritas. Breakfast, which was included, proved to be equally delicious, accompanied by excellent service. Discovering this hidden gem made us immensely happy, and we only wish we could extend our stay. It was an absolutely perfect experience overall.

Modern, with some cool design ideas in the room. The rotating TV in particular. Also a great shower! Restaurant has very good food. Helpful staff.

Climbing the stairs out of the reception area to the second level. At the top of the steps is a sliding door. This design is awkward and potentially unsafe, carrying your luggage while opening the door. There should be a landing before the door so that you can set down your luggage. I recommend using the other stairwell instead (past the pool toward the restaurant. Also, there seems to be some notion that it’s necessary to blast music out into the pool area. (I’ve encountered this situation in a couple other lodgings.) We didn’t come to party but to relax. Since many of the rooms face the pool, it doesn’t make for a quiet time in the room during the day.

The location was walking distance to a great beach, but the provided a shuttle. The staff was wonderful, they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Our room was spacious, not super luxurious, but, very, very comfy, we were basically in it to sleep and change, clean and modern, all the amenities, so we loved it. We had pool towels, beach towels, in addition to the bath towels. Breakfast was included and it was quite good.

The restaurant is delicious!! A bit expensive to be eating there all the meals, but really everything we tasted exceeded our expectations. The entire hotel is beautifully decorated. The rooms are very big and clean. The staff is really attentive and polite. We will definitely consider to visit again.

We liked everything, but some improvements areas will be to be able to use the beach club chairs earlier (the last day of our stay the beach club chairs weren't available until 11am). Also, the space at the beach is small.
