friendly staff, calm place, silent, romantic path to the beach, cleanness, Wi-fi, guarded and closed place even in the evening, good value for money, even the room smells good after cleaning, giant bathroom, complimentary bottled water each day. Owners take care of their dream, this is obvious!

We spend our vacation in 3 different Hotels in Znzibar, This was the most we loved, but if I should say something what should be improved....staff over-politeness (too much you are welcome", "did you enjoy",....), noisy fan in the room, cats and crows in restaurant, breakfast is Mekkah for Vegan but I am meat lover. There were a buffer breakfast, but often more foods/drinks were gone, guest were clearly hunting for replacements, this was quite humiliating so to say and the most inconvenient feeling in this Hotel.

My stay at the Mem was great, I even extended it. I needed a "break" in order to work with a good WIFI in a peaceful place and I really don't regret it! The all place is beautiful, very well located (beach access and close to many bars and shops), very clean (pool included surrounded my sun bed!) and very quiet. The owners are very nice and the all staff is amazing and very professional! The room I booked was exactly what I expected, the bed was so comfy and as I needed to work, they even put an extra chair and desk inside as asked (Thanks again!). The food from the restaurant is very fresh and tasty and prices very affordable, the breakfast included is huge and perfect also: I will definitely come back! :))

We liked everything about the property. Location is number 1 as it is 3 min from the beach and it is really safe walk where you do not need to pass through any local markets with being disturbed. Right on the beach you can find beach seats for free or with some fees that you can use as payment for drink or food. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff is very professional, friendly and helpful. I have got fever and they brought for me to the room tea, soup and let me eat inside. They advised places to go for buying fruited and good pharmacy. The pool is gorgeous. After long day at the beach or excursions you can enjoy your evening next to it. There is a massage available for the guests with reasonable price of 19.9 USD and it is just amazing and super relaxing. We really had a good time at Mem Luxury Apartments and hotel.

Context of my comment - I spent 3 months in Zanzibar last 12 months in 10 to 15 different really good hotels, MeM is by far the best. I loved everything here. I spent 1 month at MeM Hotel. Half of the week I was working for my french company and the other half was for enjoying/chilling. We stayed with my gf and my best friend. All of us were so in love with MeM ! • First, people here are sooo nice, always here for you and trying to make you feel home. And I felt home (actually I felt more home here than in my own home 😂). Thank you Mehmet, Cheru, Safi, Mary, Jennifer and all the staff here. • Second, the place. Pictures on booking are nice but in real it's even better. The swimming pool is so intimate, really far from the huge pool's resorts. You are smartly isolated with the beach -50m by walk- which is the best balance. You go to the beach without taking any belongings (no towel, no phone) and still you are enough far to be sound isolated in case there is a beach party. So you are in the perfect place. • Third, the atmosphere. The place and people are making the atmosphere amazing of course. But the location and Mehmet brother with his Zanzibar Experiences company are doing everything to make your life SO EASY. I know most people are booking activities before coming here. Most of those things you can book online are scams (and I was victim of it last year when I came for the first time). Thanks to MeM, I lived the 2 best experiences of my life for a really cheap cost. Safary in 1 day with all animals you can imagine, copiloting a small plane (15 seats). Road & Boat Trip with Nungwi sunset and Mnemba dolphins experience. • Fourth, wifi. Zanzibar is not already perfect on a wifi perspective for working here. Most of hotels are providing basic wifi which is ok for checking your emails. However, not ok for working. At MeM Hotel, you can ! • Fifth, the cost. I'll be quick here. You will not find better.

Accommodation and pool area was lovely. Welcoming and friendly staff. Smooth check in and out. Staff helped with luggage. Plenty of clean towels for pool and beach use. Smoothies and shakes from the restaurant were delicious as was the lunch we had. Reception helped with taxi recommendations and local info. Great location. Safe and direct access to beach. 24 hour security. Felt very safe. Paje beach is fantastic. Clean. Lots going on. Lots of choice for bars and restaurants. Locals are so friendly. Would definitely go there again!

Steps to get into pool are steep - not easy if you have limited mobility. This property does not serve alcohol, not a problem for us but something to consider if you like to have a drink on site. However just a few steps away there are lots of bars.

We were very satisfied with Mem hotel. The staff was so nice and helpful. They made our experience unforgettable. The servise and food was very good for a very affordable price. You can enjoy a good coffee and free snacks. The hotel is clean and well arranged on a quiet spot, near the beach. The pool is big and cleaned daily. It is also safe place for kids. We definitely recommend it.

Breakfast was great every morning and cooked to perfection. Would be even better if they added a bit more variety to the menu. Room was amazing, accommodation in both its view and area was fantastic, we were close to both the beach and to Paje town as well as multiple attractions and restaurants in the area. If you plan to go to Zanzibar, Paje needs to be on your list and Mem is wonderfully located and incredibly affordable for its location. Both Management and owners were exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond for every single request. Our flight landed at 2am and we only got to the accommodation after 3am, the owner organized transport for us from the airport and had a staff member wait up for us to show us to our room - which saved our lives otherwise we would have had to sleep at the airport. Staff in general were friendly and helpful, always upbeat - lovely culture and language (swahili). Staff helped us to learn a little while we were there and it was great to be able to chat to the locals in their own language. Aircon, fan and safe in the room. We went in winter and it was still hot, aircon is a necessity if you arent used to this kind of heat and humidity. The safe was a great touch as we stayed at other hotels in Zanzibar that didnt have a safe and it was just great to have that peace of mind. Staff cleaned everyday, the accommodation is on sand, so it does go everywhere - staff clean up well and they also rake the sand on the property every morning. They have a pool on the property, I didnt have a chance to use it as I swam at the beach while i was there, but my partner did and he loved it. I highly recommend staying at Mem Luxury Apartments & hotel and Paje to anyone visiting Zanzibar. We will definitely be back!

The lunch and dinner menu was very limited. We also chose this accommodation as we wanted to try some authentic Turkish food, but they only had two options and Lahmacun is essentially just spicy mince on pizza (We did try it and it was good but I feel like they have more to offer in this respect)

The breakfast was amazing every morning and so much that we did not eat again until dinner. The room was the perfect size for two people and was cleaned every day, though they have different types of rooms. The view and area was fantastic, the beach was two minutes away and the town of Paje as well as shops and restaurants were no more that fifteen minutes away, though I must really say that the food at the hotel was so delicious, that we often had our dinners there . Mem Hotel is wonderfully located and incredibly affordable for its location. The staff, management and owners were so attentive and accommodating that we had a sense of home. My partner and I travel at least three times a year, but we never experienced what we felt at Mem. If you need transportation from the Airport or planning on doing extra activities, visiting other parts of the island, I highly recommend that you book them with Mem, their prices cannot be compare with the prices on the internet and have great experienced drivers. I highly recommend staying at Mem Luxury Apartments & hotel if you are looking for an amazing experience... I know we will definitely go back!

Very nice accomodation near Paje beach. Hotel is perfect for relax. Swimming pool is big with good water temperature. Location is very good - just few steps to Paje beach where is possibility to go to restaurants or for drinks even during the night. Food and drinks in the hotel was also very tasty. We appreciated fans in dinning area, which helped to make pleasant environment. Best thing about the hotel is very helpful staff - especially Mrs. receptionist. They helped us to accomodate outside check-in hours, organised many trips for good price, and helped with organisational stuff (called to airport as our luggage didn't come with the flight), advise where and which sim card to buy etc. We really enjoyed this stay. Tanks everybody and hopefully we will come back.
