This is a standard Icelandic village guesthouse which is basically a converted house that is rented out. It is all self-check-in and I never met any staff. The location is wonderful. The room was clean with private bathroom (with shower) and shared kitchen (which is very small and quite basic).
There is no option to purchase breakfast so you need to bring that with you. (There is a store with basic café across the road but it does not open very early.) Just be prepared and you will be fine. Other guests took the coffee-maker to their room so I did not get my morning coffee. After 90 minutes of waiting, they finally showed themselves and pretended not to understand English or Icelandic but by then I was ready to leave. This is not the owners' fault of course but is always a risk with shared facilities.

Location of this house is amazing. It's outside the turists crowd in the small village. Small shop and gas station is near by the house. You're only few step from wonderful view to mountains and sea. The house has 5 rooms and fully equipped kitchen. Beds were comfortable and bathroom nice and clean. Room is simple but cozy.
There could be blackout curtains on the windows especially during summer season it can be useful.

Nice small guesthouse, we had 2 rooms which were perfect after a long travel day. Beds were comfortable. The only part missing was a place to gather with our family. We walked to a restaurant in town that was perfect (Retro Mathus) and had coffee/yogurt across the street in the morning. Most places open at 9 am so a bit harder to get started early.
Coffee machine to get going earlier in the morning would be a bonus.

I was the only one staying at the guesthouse, and as a solo female traveler it was a little uncomfortable but the staff was very nice and let me know how I could lock all the doors to feel more safe. I was able to see the northern lights from bed in the room I had, which was amazing. There is only one grocery store in town, and it is closed on Sunday and has limited hours. Closest town with restaurants is 30 minutes away so come prepared.
Accommodation was pretty basic but comfortable and clean. The showers left something to be desired but they were ok!

The location could not be any better, a 100m from the beautiful Hofsos infinity pool. Easy parking behind the house. Bathroom in your room, crisp clean bedsheets. Kitchen small but sufficient. Simple but clean place.
The place is well maintained but it is a bit dated. The tables and chairs in the kitchen are wobbly and unstable. But in general, very friendly and clean place.

The location of the hotel is great, we had a room with a view to the mountains and the fjord and it was magnificent. This is my second visit to Sunnuberg, and it exceeded my expectations on both occassions. The owner is very responsive to any inquiries, either by email, messaging and phone. There's a small kitchen with a table and a fridge, very convenient. It's the perfect location to explore the area.

Quiet, easy parking, rooms are comfortable
Bathroom a little run down, not quite sure the beds were changed prior to us arriving as we found various hairs under the covers. Also be aware that the kitchenette has not got plates/oven. :)

Good location, handy, but small communal kitchen.
The rooms were advised as having two single beds. But they had one king size sheet covering both beds so we couldn't separate them. We specifically put two beds in the filter when searching online, and we expect to get them when advertised, otherwise our selection of hotels would be larger.

Great place to stay within walking distance to the public pool and a supermarket / gas station. Each room has a private bath and there’s a shared kitchen with a fridge and microwave oven.

Nice size room right across from a store/cafe with a nice view out the window. Handy shared kitchen. Really nice restaurant in the village. Nothing fancy, just clean, comfortable, and friendly.
