One of the my best stays in Iceland. Enjoyed the outdoor hot bath, which the property also offers indoor sauna (but note operational at selected timings only). The room is lovely with a window overseeing the 'boat on the dock'. There is a common area for people to gather and chat, with central heating in the centre. The breakfast buffet was great too, served in the restaurant, and you get to enjoy nice views as well ... however, they close the restaurant when breakfast is over, meaning all patrons will be asked to adjourn elsewhere. The bar is open in the evenings, but pretty pricey so go easy on the alcohol :)
Did not take dinner at the restaurant, which reading reviews from prior patrons dissuaded us as well.

Second stay at this hotel which is one of my favourite places in Iceland. Lovely rooms and great facilities including the outdoor hot pool and sauna. This visit we paid a bit extra for a room facing the harbour but have also stayed in the rooms facing inland and the fishing boat which are equally good. Prices are not cheap but worth it. On the first day of our stay there was a cross country skiing competition so the hotel was busy, but still very quiet in the rooms and a great nights sleep.
Only small criticism on the first day was that breakfast was very busy. though we got a table some of the food had run out and was slow to be refilled, particularly the eggs which took about 10 mins. Would expect that to keep up with the rest of the hotel standard this would be monitored and replenished before running out.

This was our 2 night treat in a 10 day self-driving tour. The town has a spectacular setting surrounded by mountains which one can enjoy from the hot pool. Our room had a view over the harbour and had everything one could wish for - eg bath robes provided for the spa. Breakfast was excellent and enjoyed with views over the water with a full range of hot and cold options. The sweet pickled herring was a delight. The town is very walkable. The Diamond Circle via Godafoss, Lake Myvatn, Dettifoss and Husavik is doable in a day, allowing time for a dip in the geothermal baths at Myvatn and fish and chip supper in Husavik. Hope to return some day.
For some strange reason there was no toilet brush which I can only imagine was an oversight.

This hotel is absolutely what every hotel needs to be! From the first step inside it feels like home. The first thing You see is the beautiful common area with the fireplace in the middle. Just sit down and read a book, play a game of chess or enjoy a nice talk to your fellow partner. The next thing you notice is the awesome bar and the fancy restaurant. The room is amazing. It is bigger than any other room on our Iceland trip. Awesome bathroom with nice tiles and design. Probably the best and most comfortable beds of our whole trip, and the most important part, it was definitely the most silent room we had. You couldn’t even hear the doors of the other rooms or that someone is walking outside. In the evening after an exhausting day you can relax in the infrared sauna and after that jump into the hot tub. Absolute recommendation. The breakfast is really amazing too and depending on where you seat yourself, you will enjoy a nice view while seating in sunshine.

cozy accommodation in a top structure, ideally located. The hotel is very well equipped, with all sort of comfort at a very high level. Modern equipment in a design traditionally rooted, easy to use. Very clean, with a particular attention to details. Environmental policy is one of the priorities, well-done!! Really friendly and helpful personnel. The village and the harbor are pearls. Next to a charger for electric cars, few steps to the famous herring museum, the church and the bakery. Highly recommended hotel.

Incredible location - bit of a tough drive but worth it ! Great town but limited eating options. Loved the herring museum. Hot tub was a sanctuary !
It might be cultural but whilst the staff could not have been more helpful when asked about something, it was never friendly, just efficient. Also the breakfast options deteriorated over the week we spent there - incredible cinnamon buns the first morning now seen again, pancakes also ran out and even museli. It’s a remote location but still strange for the price.

A very relaxing stay! Everything was clean and was a great location. The hot tub was fantastic and overlooked a little bay. Nice bar community area. The restaurant was very good but very expensive.
It seemed that the hotel was advertised as having 3 restaurants but only one was open when we were there and it was the fine dining one which had good food but was very expensive. We pretty much had to eat here because no other restaurants in town were open and the grocery store had already closed.

Iceland is a country with amazing accommodation choices. This hotel would have to be the best of all. In the small isolated community of Siglufjörður. I say isolated because sometimes the town can be cut off by avalanche. Not this time of year because there is no snow yet. I arrived by bus from Akureyri via 3 tunnels. Upon entry to the hotel I was greeted by a beautiful receptionist who welcomed me. Quickly through the registration I walked up to my room, on the second floor, to a room so big and with a beautiful view over the water and mountains. Staying here 3 days for a good look around. Had dinner on 2 nights. Nice bar with an Austrian girl attending, Paula. Thank you for the nice drinks and advice about Lustenau. And thanks to the chef/owner for making me some chips with potato in them.
At night time people congregate around the hot pool and talk loud. The windows when closed cut the noise down so much I couldn't hear them at all.

We had a lovely large room with a view of the harbour and the mountains on the other side of the fjord. The bed was superbly comfortable and wide. I slept like a log, as did my husband. The room was perfectly soundproofed. The staff - all women, that we encountered - from the front desk to the cleaners and wait-staff went out of their way to be courteous and friendly. A great stay.
The bathroom could have been bigger.

Our room had a beautiful view of the harbor, colorful buildings, and mountains. We also enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. The room was modern, clean, and comfortable. The staff was helpful and professional. Breakfast was good as well, and the views from the dining area and the lounge were stunning. Location is perfect, within walking distance to the Herring Museum and restaurants. The surroundings are breath-taking.
