Rooms were new and clean. Staff were incredibly friendly. Location is really convenient to see lots of Tokyo near multiple transit lines and Asakusa Station, but in a quiet part of the city without bustle of other areas. But the best part is being offered a full bar downstairs, sake on the rooftop where you can soak your feet, snacks etc… it was great! It was so nice I want to stay there again when I’m back in Tokyo.

Room was a little cramped, but was ok for just me. Might be a tight squeeze for two people.

Super clean. Very comfortable bed. Rooftop foot bath is great. Free sake & snacks were great. Staff all fantastic. Location great. Reception & bar area very nice and welcoming. Everything you need is in your room..lots of attention to detail: charging cable, torch, coffee, fridge, slippers, kimono, shower gels, wash cloths, etc. Room design is very cool and everything is immaculate and clean.

My room *which admittedly was the cheapest* had no window, and was extremely small, virtually impossible to open a large suitcase other than on bed. I was travelling solo and felt claustrophobic, couldn’t imagine a couple in this room. My room and the landings outside elevator could have been more brightly lit, but I guess this is ‘mood’ lighting..this added to the feeling of claustrophobia in my room.

Pretty cozy hotel in Asakusa, walking distance to several metro station. Staff very friendly and helpful, room was nice, small but very functional and the bathroom was amazing with typical Japanese bathtub. Beautiful top floor foot bath and private spa with free flow sake bar ( you need to discipline yourself there ) . After long days walking was amazing to relax there with Tokyo tower view. I loved everything about it.

Breakfast is Japanese only, which I dig, but not everyone does

customer service and cleanliness. Customer Service- The staff are very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, which made our stay hassle-free and comfortable. Not only can they speak English, but they go above and beyond to provide the correct and necessary info to make your stay that much easier and more enjoyable, thank you! And of course, a small gesture goes a long way! It was also very nice to be greeted warmly every time we enter the lobby and/or returning after a long day. Cleanliness- much attention to detail and cleanliness is seen throughout! there is someone available to assist you at all times of the day. Upon arrival, our room was spotless. No messes no stains no smudges no dirt no dust. And the loungewear provided is so comfy! The private bath is VERY clean, as if brand new and exclusively used. This and the lobby were my favorite places to spend time. The amenities are always in working order. Free beer, water & sake dispensers, free toiletries, and food is always fully stocked!

I wish the footbath is open 24hrs :)

Absolutely amazing boutique hotel. We met some wonderful staff like Akane who were super friendly and helpful. Having 2 young children, it is usually quite difficult to have time to enjoy a quiet drink. At Sake bar hotel, every afternoon we could enjoy a variety of Sakes and tap beer for free! There was also excellent oden and they would cook up some karage and katsu on demand, fresh to go with our drinks. The rooftop private onsen and cold plunge pool could be booked for ourselves, and it was just the cherry on top at the end of a long day. There are also an array of manga with english translations like Demon slayer, which was a nice touch for us. The room itself is small for western standards but in Tokyo, hotel rooms tend to be on the smaller size. We had a mini kitchen in our room and lovely tatami area. The location is great, quiet and away from the main touristy area but still close enough to easily get to the action of Asakusa (5 mins walk). Excellent stay!

The breakfast could be improved. Breakfast hours are from 6.30 to 9.30am so I understand it's hard to keep things fresh but we did find the spam, grilled fish, karage and tamago to be a bit dry on edges from the bainmarie. The onigiri was delicious though.

This is a realy special place. Even if you're not s Sake lover you'll probably become one after your stay. You get to try different kinds of Sake for free. It's always available and same goes for beer. Even though it says breakfast is free you actually get lunch and dinner too. Nothing fancy but nevertheless always fresh and tasty. And the warm foot bath of the oon roof is such a great idea and perfect for chilling out and relaxing. Add to that a welcoming the friendly staff and perfect location just a few steps away from the heart of Asakusa and you have here the perfect choice for your hotel in Tokyo

Loved absolutely everything!! the staff were so accommodating and welcomed me with such warmth and grace. The private onsen was worth every penny and left me feeling rejuvenated, definitely recommend spoiling yourself with that! not only is it in walking distance to multiple train stations but it’s also only about a 7 minute walk from Senso-ji temple and the main strip of Asakusa! will definitely be back :)

Nothing! the rooms are a tad bit small but that’s the standard for any hotel in Tokyo

I didn’t make it to breakfast, I’m afraid, But it was walkable and near the ginza, asakusa, tobu, and Oedo lines (3-5 min walk). A 7 minute walk away is Sensō-ji temple, and the market/center surrounding it. There’s a small temple for the protection of horses nearby as well. The shops are for sure at tourist prices but that’s fully to be expected. I bought a lot here lol. Nearby are some small bars, if you know how to spot them you can find some great ones. Cover charges can very so be sure to put that in your budget if you go out. There is indeed free sake, and you get a small masu upon check in to assist with their modern/traditional aesthetic blend. The bar is stocked, and the staff are able to make cocktails using sake for you. The rooftop footbath also has a sake dispenser for ease. The sake is all Kikkawa, which owns the hotel. it’s good, tending towards sweeter but still very light. There is also a small snack bar and hot food available in the lobby. Usually a dumpling and/or a soup of some kind. 10/10. I paid for the private onsen; one hour for ¥10,000. Worth it. I was 11 days into a solo trip and was deeply enjoying the night life, tours, food, and museums, so i was pretty chronically tired at this point. The shampoo and conditioner in the shower you first use was fantastic. The cold plunge and onsen were both perfect, and the sauna was an unexpected perk. The rice bran oil i used in my hair after and helped cure some of my chronic humidity-induced frizz. Open air in Tokyo, it’s so much quieter than you would expect. You receive a haori and pants with tabi socks for the sandals provided for your stay. I chose to use this after the onsen. Staff were consistently helpful, holding my luggage after check out for a few hours and helping me extend my stay (because I enjoyed myself so much and also was tired of moving hotels).

Footbath didn’t seem to have a cover so I couldn’t use it because of rain during my stay. A small bummer, but the rain benefitted me at disney so life gave me a trade I guess!

It's a super little hotel! They have thought of everything - down to all the little things you might forget to bring so they have small 'borrowing' stations in the communal areas on certain floors. The beds are very comfortable, everything is still very new so all clean and sparkling. The rooftop footbath and free sake/beer/snacks is a great addition. The small bar is a great place to mix your own sake cocktail or try Japanese whisky and meet others. Don't be afraid to ask the staff for guidance at the bar/breakfast area. They tend to leave you to help yourself but happily answer questions or give recommendations. Not a problem for us, but the cheaper rooms are very, very small and without windows - we like the dark vibes. We really like that Asakusa area is quieter at night with some great little places to eat. Recommend!
