Los Cerros del Chaltén Boutique Hotel offers a comfortable and well-considered experience in El Chaltén, blending hospitality with convenience for travelers exploring the region. The service throughout the hotel is attentive and professional, ensuring a seamless stay from arrival to departure. A unique highlight is the in-house hiking guide available near the bar each evening. His advice on routes and timing is precise and well-informed, making him an excellent resource for planning your adventures. Following his recommendations is highly advisable, as they can significantly enhance your hiking experience. The bar provides a pleasant space to relax, with well-crafted drinks and a cozy atmosphere that feels welcoming after a day outdoors. Dinner at the hotel is well-prepared and thoughtfully presented, offering good value for the quality and a satisfying conclusion to the day. The spa facilities, particularly the hot tub and sauna, are an excellent addition, providing a much-needed opportunity to unwind and recover after hiking. Overall, Los Cerros del Chaltén is a well-rounded choice for those seeking comfort and practical amenities in a stunning location. It strikes a good balance between adventure and relaxation, making it a solid option for visitors to El Chaltén.

This hotel has amazing views. I dont think any other place in El Chalten would be able to match them. Not only did we love seeing the beautiful mountains from our room, but from the restaurant and relaxing room by the bar where we played games each night. Hotel staff was amazing, especially Mariano in Reception. We had some issues with the property we were going to be visitor after we left El Chalten and he went above and beyond to help us. The spa was great. You need to make a reservation which was never an issue and again the view from the hot tub was amazing. We also enjoyed a lovely massage. There were free snacks, fruit and drinks available throughout the morning and afternoon. Breakfast was yummy with several options. In addition to the buffet, you can order eggs, omelettes or ham and cheese croissants. We loved that they started serving early at 0630 so we could eat before hitting the trails. Another bonus….they provide a local guy that comes each night to answer any questions regarding trails, weather etc….super helpful!
Only negative…the rooms get quite warm which may have been a result of the incredible weather we had with the sunshine streaming in! We slept with the window open and that cooled it right down. The walls are also a bit thin so you can hear anyone in the hall and next door to you. We play white noise when we sleep so that helped a lot.

Very helpful staff, in particular at check in and the hiking guide who was available with excellent suggestions each evening. Our trip was even more enjoyable due to some of the hiking recommendations. The view of the valley from the bar and restaurant is stunning and the hotel has one of the best locations for views in El Chalten. Breakfast had a nice selection, we particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit each morning. The jacuzzi area was a nice addition. Beds were very comfortable.
Limited seats in the bar area but we did not experience any difficulty getting a seat. The jacuzzi area could do with some refurbishment as it is a bit worn.

The hilltop location and floor to ceiling windows give endless stunning views (especially from the valley view rooms). High vaulted wooden ceilings and stone fireplaces have loads of charm. Plenty of comfortable lounging areas, with books and games. Restaurant food is delicious and well-presented (although the variety is not extensive if you are there for many days). The spa, sauna and massage facilities are very welcome after a day’s trekking. Bedrooms are large and tastefully furnished. There is always free fruit, nibbles and soft drinks available in the foyer. The staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. It is an absolute gem of a hotel.
If you have mobility issues, ask for a ground room floor, as there is no lift.

The property is centrally located and sits atop a hill giving it great views of the town and mountains. The room was very comfortable, if it got to warm you could open windows to cool down easily. Their restaurant was fantastic we ate there multiple times. There was also a lounge area with sofas, tables to sit at and play board games which they had available. Also lots of literature if you wanted something to read. Stag was always available and very helpful. They even had someone available if you had any questions about hikes in the area.
Nothing much to note. Since the property sits atop a hill you do need to walk up an unpaved street if you have accessibility issues that might be a problem. Considering most everyone is hiking I wouldn’t expect walking uphill a bit to be much of a problem.

The staff here were incredibly helpful with all of our enquiries - they did the hotel proud. Christmas Eve dinner was a really nice occasion and it was a pleasure to celebrate it here. The views from our room were incredible, so it was a good choice to pay the extra for this. Restaurant and breakfast generally were very good.
Too many big American tour groups. Pricing was this was definitely quite expensive at over US$300 per night. Spa is very small so when we went for a massage we were deafened by a group of frat boys using the spa and sauna and basically shouting at each other.

Probably the best hotel in town, located on a promontory above the town with a great view up the valley. Breakfast selection was good, and lunch and dinner were good with reasonable prices by US standards. Bar was usually open. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is a great room on the second floor available for lounging around on a rainy day. Parking was easy albeit on a rock lot, as much of the town is still pretty raw with gravel roads. The town itself is filled with backpacker types and is unusually quirky in a good way. We were told the town shuts down from April thru September.
Unlike every other hotel on our two weeks in Argentina, the hotel didn't charge the rate in pesos at the official rate of about 360 to the dollar at the time, but at the MEP rate for tourists (more than double) which meant that we got no discount from the stated dollar price of about $250 per night when the charge was put on our credit card using the MEP conversion rate. Elsewhere we received about a 60% discount from the stated dollar rate when using a visa or mastercard (American Express didn't negotiate the same deal), which made hotels in Argentina a great deal. Unfortunately for foreigners that bargain mostly went away on December 13 when Milei doubled the official rate to align closer to the MEP and blue rates which now exceeded 1000 pesos to the $.

The views are gorgeous, worth upgrading for a mountain view room. Super comfy bed and good size room. The staff is fantastic, super friendly, welcoming and helpful when it comes to suggesting the best hikes around the town.
The soundproof is not the best, we could hear the guests next door quite easily. The wifi also needs a boost - I know this is not the kind of holiday to stay connected but we struggled to download maps for our hikes and some of the day to day travel needs.

The view from the room is amazing (make sure you get the valley view). We got a free room upgrade which was great. The room was comfortable, spacious, and quiet. Nice relaxation room with hot tubs, saunas, shower, loungers and stunning mountain view. You can request robes before you go down. Breakfast was the best we had during the trip - there is a large variety of things to eat including several healthy options. Staff speaks English and was always quick to respond to any requests.
There is no benefit to using cash - they will charge at blue dollar rate. This makes the value not so great.

Super hotel in central El Chalten. Comfortable room and lovely large lounge area for relaxation, as well as comfy bar area. Excellent breakfast including cooked to order eggs/omelettes, and cold drinks & cookies available in lobby during the day. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of restaurants nearby and fabulous ice cream shop just down the road!
Our room got very warm despite radiators off and windows open.
