This hotel is an oasis of calm just off the mayhem on the main street of Pompeii. After the visit to the ruins (which up to 4 million visitors a year go) you enter a quiet orange tree filled garden where you can take meals which are all freshly prepared with the scent of Jasmine in the background. Friendly and helpful staff and the hotel arranged a private guide just for us not part of a group who showed us much more detail than the bigger groups could possibly take in. On the main street outside there were restaurants of all kinds but we ate in and it was very similar in prices to those outside.

No adverse comments from me

A lovely modern room on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the garden. It was lovely to have to sun on the balcony in the morning. The location is excellent and the garden is an oasis of calm.

This was our third stay in the Hotel Forum and, this time, we found the reception staff rather disinterested. We were pointed to where we could stow our bags on arrival but there was no support offered so it was lucky I knew where the room was (it's behind 2 doors so not immediately obvious). Equally, on previous visits we have always been greeted with a cheery hello as we passed through reception but this time the receptionists barely lifted their heads from their computers. Lastly, on check-out, again, there seemed to a lack of interest - on moving our bags to the stowage room, there was a man in the way up a ladder but even though there were 3 receptionists present I was left to navigate this and alert them to the problem.

Fantastic location for a Pompeii hotel, not in front of the main gaite but a 10 minute walk, and right in front of the secondary entrance. The wonderful cortile access brings the noise down a few notches, so that when you enter the hotel you feel transported into a literal garden, which they take care of exquisitely. Updated rooms, air conditioning working perfectly, modern bathroom, a balcony and the breakfast buffett was perfect. The restaurant is good and a great option if you don't want to dine out. They provided a parking space in a very nearby parking. If I ever travel to Pompei again, this is the hotel I will be staying in.

I could find anything problematic about this hotel.

The hotel's atmosphere is magnificent!!! The scent of lemon coming from the incredible garden, the restaurant with DELICIOUS dishes prepared with the utmost care, the extremely friendly and polite staff, the Wi-Fi signal, the comfort of the bed, the temperature, the shower, the careful lighting, the spectacular and comfortable bed linen, in every little detail EVERYTHING was WONDERFUL!!! I intend to return to Pompeii because of the experience I had at the hotel. I traveled with my 12-year-old son.

Loved the garden with all the fruit trees so peaceful. Staff is excellent attentive. Right across from the Pompeii ruins just a two minute walk. Lovely place to stay. Close to the Cathedral and town

Just one thing and it’s big—-they called us a taxi and on the way to the train station the taxi driver said there was a strike at the trains and he’d need to drive us to Naples for 60,00 even tho we had paid for train tickets. We found out the strike was for the next day. So he lied and we paid an extra 60.00. We called the hotel and they just said it wasn’t their problem. That didn’t care to do anything about it. DO NOT let them call you a taxi and pay attention to your fare!!

Lovely hotel in an ideal location for exploring the ruins of Pompeii. Central to the town but set back from the main strip with a peaceful garden. Comfortable and well maintained accommodation. Excellent breakfast served by the lovely Elena and a decent restaurant. We felt this represented very good value for money.

We felt the Reception Team were a bit disengaged and not especially helpful in advising on travel options or helping us to enjoy our 5 night stay. This was a bit disappointing; we would have given the hotel a higher rating but for this.

Location near the entrance to pompei was fantastic. The parking just across the road was easy and plentiful. The bed was huge for my wife and I while our teenagers bed was extremely comfortable. It was quiet and very relaxing. The garden was beautiful and an oasis of calm just off the noisy road and bustling entrance to pompeii ruins . Where the staff were excellent and it was better value to have a beer or Aperol spritz or coke in the hotel garden. All round excellent couldn’t fault the hotel

Nothing to think of

The location of the hotel is fantastic. It is across from the Pompeii ruins. The outdoor space and amazing trees with HUGE lemons is wonderful to relax after a day of visiting the ruins. Good dinner and breakfast. The hotel is also located in close walking distance to a major square for drinks. There are also several restaurants right at the hotel street. If you are traveling with kids, just down the street is a cool "kids/teens" arcade with kiddie rides and an abundant games room.

If you are driving your own car, they tell you "we have arrangements with a close parking area". This is located far enough away that you can't park and take your luggage. Also, if the parking is full, you sit in your car and wait until someone exits to be able to park. It is also located by the "kiddie land", so you have to get thru the pack of kids and parents, most of the time to make it out to the main street. If you have a special or private tour of Pompeii and are to meet your guide at the "Porta Marina Superiore" entrance, be aware it is NOT by the hotel and is not within walking distance. Ask the hotel for a taxi they will happily arrange it, or ask for a different entrance to the park.

This is a great hotel with lovely gardens right opposite the Pompeii ruins and about a 20 minute walk from the train station where we travelled from Sorrento. It's also about 5 minutes from the cathedral and 10 minutes from another train station where you can go to Naples The staff were so helpful in giving information about a Vesuvius trip and let us leave our luggage before we checked in and with directions generally. Also the breakfast was great too with lots of selection and a really nice waitress.

Nothing, rooms were clean and comfortable
