Beds were very comfortable, shower was very spatious and visibly recently renovated; it was a good solution for a night stopover for a family of 4. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very nice!

The bathroom was very small, in particular space between the toilet seat and the bathroom door. Regretfully one of our kids forgot their toiletry bag, and despite calling the evening of, and returning in person the next day (there were precious orthodontic elastics in the bag), the bag couldn't be found.

This hotel was in a very central location and has a parking garage; though there is a fee. We were a party of 9 with a van and having easy access to parking was very important to use.

There was no AC, but that seems typical in France. It was not a problem.

What a lovely hotel! Lovely staff who were so helpful, even when we had to change some plans abruptly, they did everything they could to help us. The location is absolutely perfect too. If you're staying in Caen for a break, this hotel is just perfect!

The hotel is in the perfect location for town. We did have to cut our trip short however, the staff were very helpful ( I wish I could remember the lady’s name behind reception) she was absolutely amazing. Couldn’t thank her enough

We loved our 2 night stay here. The hotel was close to the centre of Caen, the Chateau and the port. There were plenty of bars and restaurants on the doorstep and the hotel was right next to the Sunday market by the port. The room had been recently painted and refurbished. We asked for a parking space at the rear of the hotel and this was great and very reasonably priced. The breakfast was adequate and the staff were really friendly. We have recommended Hotel du Chateau to all our family and friends.

it seems like a nice upmarket location, however theres a kebab shop across the road, late on a Saturday night up to 0400 it was wicket noisy with weekend revellers wanting to fuel up after the munchies. such a shame, it was 24+ Centigrade, had to have windows open, no AirCon. kinda unavoidable unless the management install AirCon

Excellent, spacious and clean quadruple room. Very friendly and helpful staff. We then wanted to stay another night and ended up with 2 small doubles on 5th floor. Not nearly as good an experience. Sliding door to one of the bathrooms so limited privacy, shower head and soap dispenser needed sorting out.
