Playa Honda is a lovely destination, beautiful beach, just enough coffee shops and restaurants and a nice shopping centre. Its a real find if you don't want the touristy places like Playa del Carmen. Really good bus links so you can get to Arrecife, Carmen and surronding arears very easily by bus. Magma Rooms are just terrific! Our room was just lovely, the communal arears are a really nice touch and you can just come and go as you please. The rooms are really clean and EXTREMELY comfortable. We LOVED it. The use of a fridge would be bonus but that is a very minor issue. If you just want a bit of R&R in a lovely location..............this is the place for you. It's full of locals and you really feel part of the place.

Additional charges for tea (1,5€ !!!) and coffee give unnecessary bad impression considering the price for the room and prices on the island in general…

Booked last minute, really great price. Check in states from 14:30 however flight arrived at 11am, arrived to magma rooms at 12:00 owner greeted us and welcomed us in really lovely lady very helpful with keys and access codes an processes, showed us around. Honestly Magma rooms exceeded my expectations, it is beautiful spacious very well maintained. We used the pool - complimentary pool towels. Pictures do not do it justice. Really close to beaches and plenty of bike hire shops close by to make the most of bicycle routes to neighbouring towns. Beds super comfortable. Property in general is very quiet we only saw one other guest during our stay which made it feel like we had the entire place to ourselves. Quiet residential street but plenty of great restaurants a short walk away - highly recommend forestors. Would absolutely book Magma rooms again.

My only comment was the wall bracket that held the shower head was broken so had to hold shower head to shower - but with the level of care taken in the maintenance of this property I'm certain it was already on there to do list.

Excellent, professional and friendly personnel. Location: Few minutes by taxi to the airport and just few minutes walking to the beach.

Turned up a couple of hours early but called and was allowed to check into the room which was a real treat, especially as the compound is ultra-secure and it would not have been possible to drop our bags off. We arrived by bus from Playa Blanca and the premises were easy to find and in a great location handy for the shopping centre as the rather sleepy seafront - sleepy in a good way! The room was immaculate and the pool was spotless.

The lock for the front door was a little tricky to open. There were also a couple of bikes in the grounds but it was unclear whether or not they were for customers use.

Comfortable bed and flexible checkin, nice room, great shower. Very nice looking common areas. Great location for my needs ( very close to the bus stop arriving fro the airport). By the way, you need to have some change for the bus (they don't take cards or bills of 20euros or more).

I was a bit confused about the bathroom as I did the checkin by myself and didn't realise the extra key I got was for my private bathroom., which was the door right next to my room. Probably would have figured that out sooner if I hadn't been jetlagged. .

The host responded immediately when I asked questions before my arrival. The host is very professional and well organized and provides all the relevant general information upon arrival. This should be a standard on booking.com and other similar platforms! I liked the idea that the password consists of the last 4 digits of my phone number (beautifully simple and simply beautiful idea). I planned to shave myself, however, everything was so clean that I rejected this idea, because I didn't know, how to clean the remains of my shaving ... ;-) (My wife and I stayed just one night.)

We stayed just overnight so it didn't bothered us much - however, for a longer stay it would be very convenient if there was a common kitchen with basic equipment available all the time, so that it would be possible to cook at least a simple meal.

Really beautiful property with everything you could need during a stay, we were in the room with a terrace and it was huge, lots of storage and a fridge downstairs with affordable drinks. Lovely outside patio area and pool. Really didn’t want to leave :( the staff were very friendly too and met us on arrival. Super close to the airport, taxi was less than 10 mins and cost €11. Close to beach, supermarket, bars and restaurants.

The owner was so lovely and accommodating, I had requested an early check in and my room was ready when I arrived which was so helpful! Very clean, quiet and comfortable - lovely to have outdoor facilities such as the pool and sun beds. My room was big and I had a great nights sleep.

Everything about the place itself was perfect for what we needed, and the owner was very helpful. The space has thoughtfully been decorated with cute little touches for guests to enjoy its every corner. Great location. And highly recommended.

Unfortunately the room opposite was very disturbingly on loud-speaker on phone all night until the early hours of the morning. We needed to leave early for the airport and so didn’t get much sleep because of this.
