This is a unique hotel in that it is still privately owned and the owners want to preserve the history. It is beautifully restored. There is a bar/restaurant on the first level known for classic drinks as well as cocktails invented by the bartenders. There is also a restaurant downstairs that we only ate at for breakfast. Breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect for getting around to see the touristy spots like the space needle and Pike Place Market. We walked half a block down to get on the monorail that takes you back and forth from the space needle. We walked 3 blocks to Pike Place and then walked to the ferries to catch a ferry to Bainbridge Island and then back to the hotel.

Everything was organized and clean. We were amazed as to how the hot water was quickly available from the hot water tap since we were on the 12th floor. The rooms are small but their layout and furnishings are top notch. The restaurant and bar within are also superb.
The 2 elevators are slow and small. this causes some waiting time but does not distract from the other benefits the hotel offers.

Comfortable hotel. Loved the classic historical feel to the hotel. Everyone who worked at the hotel was kind and seemed to enjoy their work.
Easy to get to Pike Places Market, restaurants, bus system great. Downtown Seattle is not a nice area anymore with drugs, crime, homeless, so one needs to be vigilant.

liked the space in the room; close walking distance to the piers, shopping and pike market
price was very high; although many attractions were within close walking distance, between pike and pine street the homeless and drug addicted population were very evident. Often we had to avoid certain streets to get back to the hotel

Great location. We stayed here prior to our Alaska cruise. Was a great hotel and they offered a cruise shuttle for a fee. Hotel is close to things you want to see in downtown Seattle.

We loved everything about our stay, the staff were very friendly and our room was gorgeous. The hotel is only steps from a casual dining food hall & shopping centre where the monorail takes you to the Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens for just a few dollars. The Pike Place market is a short walk away. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent, the food was delicious and the staff were warm and friendly. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the cruise ship port which was efficient and easy. We would definitely stay again next time we are in Seattle.
There was nothing we didn’t like about this hotel - it was all fabulous.

Location was excellent. The look and feel of the hotel was old fashioned and grand. I enjoyed my Lemon Drop cocktail. Liked the security of having to scan the door key card to use the elevator. The breakfast that I ordered from room service was very good (bacon could have been crispier) and the staff person who delivered it was sweet. The bed was super comfortable, loved the pillows. Thanks for the daily water in the fridge. The maid/cleaning services were excellent.
The bartender/waitress/food in Oliver's was too pretentious.I wished for a better experience at the bar as I was staying alone and wanted to eat there, but did not love the menu and the staff were too bougie, not friendly or fun. In the room, the light on the fridge was way too bright, felt like I had a neon sign in the room when I went to sleep (cover it with tape that can still show the temp but dims the light!). My closet smelled like a cigar, not completely overwhelming but hated that my clothes were hanging in there and certainly didn't use the robe. Need to update the bedside phone charging station.

This is a very nice, centrally located hotel. We could walk to a bunch of different restaurants and museums. The room was big enough for three of us to comfortably hang out at night after a long day. The bar downstairs is very nice and the adjoining restaurant if very good.
The bathroom was kind of small.

The hotel was beautiful and has the elegance and charm of old world, but clean and not worn out like many older hotels. The location was perfect. Walking distance to Pike’s market, the museums and stadiums. Oliver’s was lovely, missed. Missed going to restaurants as it was closed. Great restaurant too!
Seattle must have great in the days when the big stores were open. The architecture was beautiful but walking around felt very uncomfortable especially around the parks and after dark. So sad. Saw early morning crews picking up litter! So clean!
