We had four nights at the Hilton Colombo Residences. We enjoyed the sight of the vibrant city and the gleaming view of the Lotus Tower every night from 22nd floor. The dishes, the quality of the food and the wide scale of choice are out of this world. The exceptionally friendly and attentive staff are always ready to fulfill your wishes. Sometimes we lost the way in the 'maze' of the elevator system, but any kind of criticism pointless, because of the level of the hospitality, which is above any everything! No need to change anything, just keep up the good work and stay like this! Thank you for the great days!

High building, the elevator system sometimes a bit confusing.

We stayed here for 2 weeks. The 3 bedroom apartment with kitchen and laundry area was very spacious and clean. Management and housekeeping were very prompt and obliging and assisted us as best as they could. (We were travelling with a 6 month old and 21/2year old kids). They had even put out a play mat and ballons for the kids and a playcastle for the older one. It was a very pleasant surprise when we walked in after a day out. Our mom has a bad back n needed a firmer mattress- which they promptly got changed for us. If travelling with the family- we highly recommend this place as the rooms are good and the service was a class above. We had even taken breakfast everyday during our stay. The day of our flight was at 7am so had to leave the hotel by 3.30am. We had informed the hotel and they arranged some pastries for us to be taken along to the airport.

The cupboards (inside), underneath the tables, etc (where cleaning isn’t done on a normal basis) were very dirty and dusty. Had mentioned it to housekeeping to clean under the tables as well but wasn’t done.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Colombo Residence from November 3rd for three nights, and I must say, the experience was outstanding in every way. I came to visit my family while traveling for work, and the hotel made this stay truly memorable. From the moment I arrived, the front desk team, especially Christoper and Tharik, ensured a seamless check-in process and provided exceptional service throughout my stay. Their attention to detail and warm, professional manner made a remarkable difference. Additionally, I’d like to extend my gratitude to Indika from housekeeping, whose meticulous care and friendliness kept our room spotless and comfortable. Traveling with a 4-month-old baby can be challenging, but the Hilton Colombo Residence made it incredibly easy. The hotel team went above and beyond to provide everything we needed to make our stay comfortable with our little one. The accommodations were spacious and perfectly suited for a family, and the staff was always ready to assist with any additional requests. Overall, my stay was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of outstanding service, family-friendly facilities, and the personal attention from the staff made it feel like a home away from home. I highly recommend Hilton Colombo Residence to anyone looking for a comfortable and warm experience, whether traveling alone or with family.

Nothing at all

Hotels prime location makes accessing most of Colombo incredibly easy, which was a huge plus for getting around the city. The spacious apartment-style rooms were perfect for spending time with my toddler, offering plenty of room to move around and relax. The staff truly go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay, providing exceptional service at every turn. Though the facility is older, it's generally well-maintained. However, I did notice several marks on the walls in the dining area that could use some attention. The small tiles throughout the space gave a nostalgic, homey feel, but they do feel quite dated, and the grout between the tiles wasn’t as clean as it should be. Additionally, the lifts and their waiting areas aren't air-conditioned, which means you really feel the Colombo heat while waiting. Overall, while the hotel has charm and excellent service, some aspects, like the dated tiles and lack of air-conditioning in certain areas, could use improvement.

Important! The hotel rents out apartments for parties. Despite asking for a quiet apartment, we were given a room two floors below the apartment where the loud party was taking place. The good thing is that when I finally reported this to the reception at 1 am, the party was moved elsewhere. As an apology, we were offered a free dinner and an apartment on the 30th floor, less worn and in better condition. However in the new room it turned out that the shower drain was blocked and we had a flood in the bathroom.

I recently stayed at Hilton Colombo Residence for 21 days, and I was impressed by the location. It’s incredibly convenient, making it easy to get around the city. The room was comfortable, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

However, one thing that I found a bit inconvenient was having to screen my bag each time I entered the hotel, despite staying for such an extended period. While I understand the need for security, perhaps there could be an alternative for long-term guests.

We stayed here 3 times in 3 weeks. 5 ladies and we originally had booked the 3 bedroom apartment. Which was absolutely fantastic. So great to all be together but have our own beds and kitchen/laundry facilities. Lounge room. We even had our favourite team playing on the TV. The second two times we visited we were upgraded to the Penthouse. OMG!! More room to move and the view was amazing. The balcony is locked for safety reasons but if you sign a waiver you can get it unlocked. The staff were amazing. Absolutely anything you wanted you ring the front desk and it's there immediately. Can't thank the staff enough for making our visits so great. Oh, I nearly forgot the pool. It's huge. We rated it the best pool in Sri Lanka.

We had a excellent stay at Hilton Colombo Residence. We had great breakfast along with lunch and dinner. Chef Rohan who heads the breakfast in morning was so helpful and had great gesture of hospitality with us. He did gave us same international experiance on his serives and quality of work and looked after us very well. Very nice fresh juices and combines with all sort of international cousins were there in restaurant. We should also mentioned Chef Manoj and Sajith who served us at the restaurent and manger in charge Roshan for their service. Our apartment was two bedroom apartment and with a very nice view of lotus tower. Excellent view from 25th floor and Deshan who did an very attentive and excellent job witj our room service. Even people who visit us for meetings did admire his work. All staff was very welcoming. Dasantha, vivek and Traveen among them who helped in our stay specially fixing my connection to work laptop. We are extreamly happy with the service and we will defenetly come back again.

Nothing much to say. Just need spa bit of improvement compared to other international grade service we have experienced. Other than that people served us very well.

From that moment onwards, the hotel consistently exceeded our expectations throughout our stay. When we found ourselves in need of a bit more time in our room, they graciously accommodated our request for a later check-out. The reception team impressed us with their warmth and friendliness, setting a welcoming tone for our entire visit. The rooms themselves were nothing short of amazing. Offering stunning views of Colombo city, including the impressive Lotus Tower, they provided a scenic backdrop to our stay. Originally opting for a two-bedroom apartment, we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves upgraded to a spacious three-bedroom apartment—a delightful bonus that enhanced our experience. The rooms were impeccably clean and generously proportioned, boasting all the amenities one could desire for a comfortable stay.

There's nothing negative to say about this hotel—it was simply amazing.

We stayed here on our first night in Colombo. as an extended family of 4 adults and 5 children, we opted for two three bedroom apartments. The apartments were absolutely huge! As we were exhausted from a long flight and no sleep, we didn’t venture far from the hotel. We didn’t need to. The pool area was fantastic with a small park for the children, and we were able to have lunch by the poolside whilst they all played. Food was very tasty with huge portions (we managed to over order so it’s worth ordering one meal for two children to share. Incredibly comfy beds too. Would definitely recommend.

Would’ve liked some half portions/kids portions on the menu. But to be fair, we didn’t think to ask at the time.
