The baberrih hotel (meaning ‘door to the wind’) is truly an exceptionally beautiful property about 20 minutes drive from Essaouira. It’s tucked in the middle of a stunning beach, with views of the mountains, and empty fields surrounding. The food is grown organically on their property (with lovely chickens and goats to visit if you wish!). The rooms are each small individual buildings that are laid out nicely with a seating area, private outdoor patio, and a very comfortable bed. The tvs are equipped with streaming services so you can watch whatever you like if you wish, and the WiFi is very solid during the day. There’s a beautiful infinity pool, as well as a very spacious, clean yoga studio with views of the ocean. The best part of the hotel is direct access to Hossain’s absolutely magnificent horses. You can see their beautiful stables built adjacent to the hotel grounds, and see what a charmed life they live. Hossain is an exceptional equestrian who has trained his horses with love and natural horsemanship. He is able to accommodate all levels of riders (I’ve seen small children) as well as creating absolutely fantastic advanced rides for experienced riders. With direct access to an almost completely empty beach, riding Hossain’s beautiful stallions is the perfect cherry on top of a lovely, relaxing vacation.

WiFi in the evenings could be a bit spotty, and there is no climatisation in the rooms (however I found I didn’t need any as the climate is very temperate)

Gorgeous! Absolutely amazing resort. I felt like in Eden: calm, quiet, beautiful, amazing food (at reasonable price), yoga/workout room available, every detail of the resort was thoroughly selected, if u need to escape stress of daily life & fully emerge yourself, this is the place. Location is pretty secluded (middle of nowhere) which only helps to disconnect, but is needed to keep it in mind if that is not what u r looking for. Few activities were available (windsurf, horse riding…), pool towels provided. Also there are turtles walking around! 🤍

I would suggest to make it ‘adults only resort’ as kids running around the pool is literally the only thing that might piss u off during your stay. Also would be nice to offer shuttle/shared tours to Essaouira for the guests

This haven of peace and tranquility has been created with such love and attention. The gardens are incredible, soft lush grass and thick bushes of well tended herbs. Some of the crafted bushes actually have an unusual and very tasting and healthy fruit you can pluck and eat. The rooms are within beautifully constructed villa's each with it's own terrace and an additional roof terrace. The pool is large and very clean. The water comes from a private well and tastes great. The food is excellent with a choice of international or Moroccan. The breakfast is really the best spread I have come across. The lovely owners and staff were a delight and took great care of us.

Beautiful peaceful location, secluded, calm, impressive sweep of coastline. The on site stables, run by a lovely young man, were a highlight. 6 beautifully cared for horses. Good tack, hats and equipment, and wonderful opportunity to ride along miles of wild deserted beach. Magical. The hotel is starting to build some longer riding itineraries every few months (riding up into the hills and stopping at local villages overnight.) This would be a fabulous experience for good / experienced riders.

We had not hired a car so it was a 20 minute taxi ride into Essaouria to do anything else

BABERRIH is a beautiful condo (amazing gardens) in the middle do nowhere: an ideal place for a relaxing getaway far from the civilization. Very nice amenities, super friendly staff, very good food at decent prices, big pool and yoga studio.

Wifi is almost unavailable or super slow at best, so you must relax and take a break - impossible to work from here. Place does not sell alcohol whatsoever, but they’re ok if you bring your own (Essaouira has a huge liquor store in the carrefour supermarket). Beach is beautiful but very wild and littered at times. Tides change and on some days you can walk and run easily and on some other ones you…can’t.

Evenings were a delight with fires that lit up the night, creating a magical atmosphere where the day's end was celebrated with warmth and a starlit sky. The swimming pool is a beautiful tranquil touch. This place has everything. BABERRIH Hotel is not just a stay but a personal experience, where design, nature, and heartfelt hospitality come together to create unforgettable memories.

We liked everything - just a suggestion, a small pocket shop would be amazing, selling confectionary goods, chocolates, drinks, snacks, etc, and maybe a shuttle to the centre and back once a day.

The resort is very nice and really well maintained. Breakfast was excellent. A really beautiful yoga room, which was not advertised.

2 things to mention: - there are many free activity options, but the equipment is wrecked (broken balls, ping pong rackets) - to mention that the hotel is 25 min away from Essaouira. This means that a taxi will cost you between 200-300 dhm each way. It would be nice if the hotel would offer a free shuttle.

An exclusive place to relax from the touts in Morocco. There is nothing nearby except beaches, ocean, dunes and a police station. The facility provides many paid attractions (including horse riding, camel riding, massages, buggykiting). We had a great rest, away from the noise of Moroccan towns. Lots of greenery in the area, a grass pitch for miniature football and volleyball. Yoga room with a beautiful view.

The water in the pool could be a bit warmer, but we were there in October. The curtains in the room are difficult to move because they are blocked by a door closer.

The location is truly one-of-a-kind, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere that allowed us to unwind completely. The architecture is a beautiful, adding a unique and captivating touch to the surroundings. And the food, prepared by the talented chef, was a mouthwatering delight that we couldn't get enough of! Our stay at Baberrih surpassed all expectations. With warm hosts, delicious cuisine, captivating architecture, and an unparalleled location, we left with hearts full of gratitude and unforgettable memories. We're already eager for our next visit!

I cannot explain how wonderful this trip and hotel by the sea was. It is quite simply, unique. I was travelling with my two elderly parents and three children aged 21-11. My father is 87 and not very mobile. I booked and was a little hesitant due to the need of the group. From the welcome to send off this hotel and it’s owners and staff were fantastic! The hotel is a range of self contained suites with private individual roof terraces! All sea facing and very private. Fabulous interior and exterior. Activities were abundant, quad biking, horse riding with on site stables, the kids loved feeding the horses, a wonderful restaurant with local and international meals, room service upon request, a perosnal touch and individually tailored approach to each guest. My goodness me, what a rare find. My family can be hard to please, everyone wishes to rebook, and we will return in May. The balance of the natural world, with outstanding perosnal 5 star service is sublime! This hotel is simply, good for the soul! Fabulous. All of the staff were warm, attentive and welcoming!
