The Turret room is huge, with lots of windows allowing natural light. The bed was very comfortable (also huge), and the room was spotlessly clean. The staff were really friendly & helpful, amending my booking for me and finding me a fan. The location is perfect for coastal path walking, tintagel castle & St Nectans Glen, plus Boscastle itself is beautiful. The breakfast was lovely. My poached eggs were perfect, and the pastries were great quality. There was a decent continental selection, cereal & fruit as well.
There isn't a huge amount of parking, but I used the pay & and display, which is round the corner, and prices were reasonable

Staff were wonderful, really went out of their way to help us out. The carpark is first-come-first-serve; they were keeping an eye out for people who were leaving so we could park up for the night. Lovely feel to the bar area. Our room was quiet, maybe because we were top floor. We loved breakfast, it was a nice, relaxing atmosphere and plenty of dietary requirements. We stayed in October half term - a busy time but, still we were looked after amazingly well. The young man who was our server was outstanding, I wish I remembered his name!
Our bed was really squeaky. So much so that you couldn't even turn over quietly (it was two beds together and we think it was the headboard). Food was great, but there weren't enough choices for gluten AND dairy free. However, I realise it's hard to cater for everyone. The food we ordered was lovely however!

Great location near the Harbour, very interesting old hotel with people witnessing ghosts in some rooms, when yiu enter yiu room there is booklet telling you which famous people from history have stayed in the room. Our room was very comfortable and quaint.Another thing we liked was the tiered beer garden with individual gardens at different levels. Stash brilliant and breakfast superb.
On the whole pleased with everything but our room (very top room), the toilet and shower room was tiny with hardly any room to use the toilet. The only other thing was the low beams which we liked but could be a bit dangerous if moving around in the dark to go to the Loo

Friendly hotel, in a beautiful historic location. Car parking available next to hotel. Had to change first room due to the height of the ceiling for my husband and was allocated a lovely alternate room with no fuss. Good meal in the pub restaurant in the evening, and we took part in the pub quiz which was fun and a fabulous breakfast in the morning served by an excellent member of staff, very attentive and friendly.
This is an old historical building, so you have to expect quirky rooms etc. Our first room we were allocated was lovely, but had low ceilings and very close to the road, as my husband is tall we thought it best to move and this was arranged with no fuss.

The hotel is in the centre of Boscastle so easy walking to shops and the harbour. The staff were all really pleasant and friendly. I stayed in the Guy Gibson Room which was huge. The bed was really big and the duvet and pillows were so comfy. If you’re after a special break or night away, paying extra for the bigger rooms is worth it.
There was a smell in the room when you walked in (like someone had been to the toilet!) but I couldn’t work out where the smell was coming from and it disappeared after a while (or I just got used to it). Also, the toilet in this particular bathroom was right in front of the window and there are houses across the way, albeit higher up. And the shower, in my opinion, was much too small for the size of room you get. It was a squeeze to get in! There’s lots of space in that bathroom where the shower could be extended to a walk in.

Location was exactly as required, within the village permitting us to meander and enjoy the facilities with the car being parked out front on the car park. The Bed was huge, I lost the Mrs it was that wide. The first night we ate in the hotel, the food was tasty and the service very good. Breakfast the following morning was as expected, the home made granola, yoghurts and fruit set us up for the day but the 2nd and 3rd mornings, the offerings had diminished but was still sufficient.
There was nothing that we disliked but the showerhead was a little annoying. As you had a wait for the water to warm up, the water pressure was at times to much and it caused the head to lift up and shower the bathroom. Might suggest the cleaning team look up and clear the cobwebs though.

I booked a single but my room was large, I think it was a mini double bed. It was quiet and civilised with and old style but the bathroom had a nice shower and heated towel rail. The bathroom was big. This is in the centre of Boscastle near the stream which I could hear from my bedroom window. Good cotton sheets. Breakfast was included in my booking and to be honest the way it was set up was more like a 4 or 5 star or boutique hotel. There was a menu with a range and the lady took orders for drinks and hot breakfast. The breakfast was first class, with quality produce and a chef who made a perfect poached egg. Also a good range for continental breakfast, marmite and various jams, fresh melon etc. The staff were lovely, professional and relaxed which was nice to be around.
The only improvement which is not important could be a slightly larger flat screen TV but really that was no issue

We came here to experience the haunted hotel at Halloween and it did not disappoint. On top of this it’s a gorgeous building that is very well looked after, clean and enjoyable to stay in! Staff were great and the girl with the piercings was awesome and told us some of the ghost stories. We stayed in haunted room 10 and girlfriend was terrified when somethings moved we loved it! Pub is great and the seaside is beautiful. Visited the Witches and Occult museum which is a must down the road! Will be back again!
Wish we could stay longer

The history of the hotel was fantastic and loved it. The staff were very pleasant, friendly, welcoming and helpful on check-in and this was the same throughout. The online process of booking a table for dinner was straightforward and providing menus online made gave you an idea of the food available and facilitated the process of ordering the food at dinner time and the service and food at dinner was wonderful with the service very efficient and quick. The room was great with comfortable beds and made for a great night's sleep and breakfast was just as great as dinner. If in the area again I would definitely look at staying here again. The location was great with the scenery extremely stunning and beautiful and made it one of the best hotel stays ever.
Nothing.

The Hotel is lovely , in an excellent location .The Bedroom we had Room 16 , was once occupied in 1940 buy Guy Gibson who led the Dambusters Raid .The history of the hotel is amazing. The Staff are all very pleasant ,and polite. The bedding and pillows are first class ,which gave us an excellent night's sleep . The Breakfast was superb , which sets you up for the day . We never used the Restaurant as the menu choice was not for us .But we would d definitely go back .
Better choice on the menu for us .Otherwise everything else was fine.
