The setting for our villa (#1) is absolutely stunning. The villa has a private pool, with an breathtaking view of coast which is perfect at sunset. We loved having breakfast served at the villa and enjoyed having space to relax and chill out. There is a reasonably well equipped kitchen and fridge which means you can make drinks and snacks during the day, as well as a Sonos speaker with Spotify. Right now there is only a small gym with a single treadmill, but that suited my requirements. The restaurant on site was very nicely presented and served with accomodations for gluten-free and vegetarian needs, but does seem empty. We appreciated the turn down service each night where the staff put out mosquito coils for the evening relaxation. The service is very good and the airport transfers are professional and affordable. We liked some of the extra services, like the ability to borrow some board games and my family tried and enjoyed a private yoga class and Balinese massage (additional cost).

This is a perfect location for those who just want to chill. It is hardly a complaint, but you are long way from other major tourist areas (and 3 hours from the airport or Padang Bai). so if you want to visit the few sites on the north of the island, you pretty much have to use the villa's transport. You can't get the equivalent of an Uber from the site (you can get a Grab bike if you're up for that). The nearest supermarket is 30-40 minutes away. You could just about walk to the coast, but it's a challenging walk back up the hill. Generally the property was beautifully designed but some of the fittings/wood could do with a refresh where window/door frames are showing a bit of age.

As soon as we stepped onto the property, we were amazed by the incredible view of the sea and northern Bali. The drive up was worth it by then. The garden is filled with mango trees and it’s just a beautiful spot. The hotel is a super calm and quiet oasis with big and clean suites. The bathrooms are super spacious and the beds are great. The common pool area is wonderful and we had it to ourselves most of the time. It was indeed very quiet due to rainy season, but we came to relax and wind down, so we liked the quiet.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything but the food. It was very average compared to the rest of our experience with the hotel, which is a shame. I believe putting a bit more effort into the dining experience would make such a difference.

Had a great experience staying there, the villa was very spacious with a big swimming pool. The views are very nice also! Definitely worth staying there if you're around this part of the island.

The only downside was that it is located in the middle of nowhere so no shops or restaurants but it is good in a way as it is very isolated. The prices for food are pricey and food could be a bit better.

We had the most amazing stay! Everything was exceptional. The villa had everything you could possibly want or need. The staff are amazing. The meals were very reasonably priced, cooked in-house, and tasted amazing! Amazing guide book filled with ideas for local trips which the staff were happy to organise. We had an amazing massage while watching the stunning sunset over our pool. Would have stayed forever if we could.

I have rarely experienced this place with so much charm and atmosphere. The design is a perfect blend of tradition and modernity, and reminds of Bali from yesteryears. The pool with its breathtaking view is simply indescribable. The staff and Management are not only friendly but also incredibly professional. They do everything to ensure guests have an unforgettable stay. The high-quality amenities and the thoughtful touches in the suite made me feel pampered. It was the perfect Bali experience. The idea that a yoga shala and spa will soon be added makes this place an even more attractive destination for anyone seeking peace and beauty. If you do feel the need to venture into the village, which you probably won't, it's a quick 10-minute scooter ride away. I could have stayed for weeks in my Suite. THANK YOU!

Location absolutely spectacular. Staff magnificent! Service with a smile and ready to serve you. Breakfast ok but below the five star expectation. Meals needed more of a professional approach as well. As cafe owner/operator we deliver a high level of quality and presentation. Quality of the meals where good but the presentation lacked. What helps is the value for money, but if you aren't focused on value but rather a wow factor, the kitchen has to take menu to a next level. Mind you, the cake selection was wonderful, specially the signature cake!

A dissapointment was the CAFE station. Again, as cafe owners we are always on the lookout for great or exceptional coffee. Sadly, the cafe station was so clean and neat it looked like an ornament rather than a great coffee area! As I inquired about the coffee, the young staff had no idea and followed the question of, 'who trained you as baristas'? with, 'YouTube'. I stepped in to assist the young staff member with a few basics as I felt this could be the least I could do, but again, only one milk jug, no choc shaker and coffee that was old. This was tried by us and staff and explained what a coffee bean should taste like.

The best part of the stay was the amazing, delightful and very accommodating staff. We want to personally thank Ari for looking after us and providing 5 star customer service. The restaurant, bar and cleaning staff were all so sweet and great at their jobs. Customer service is so important and the staff here were high quality. A beautiful time spent here. Great stay to take day trips to waterfalls and other beautiful sights of the north

We stayed in a lovely one bedroom private pool villa. The title sets an expectation that it has complete privacy, but it really just means you have your own pool. Perhaps just changing the title description to one bedroom with a pool is more accurate. Being a same sex couple we booked for complete privacy. The staff assisted and built a fence to block off the view from public areas. Pretty amazing service we thought :)

If you are looking for a quiet getaway for a few days, turn off your phones etc, this is perfect for you! All food can be served to your villa for reasonable prices, reasonable day rate for a full day tour and taxi pick up from where you are prior to your stay there. Amazing staff and very respectful, outstanding view and pool in villa number 3 would highly recommend this place, it’s quite special for the price!

Bugs, but you are in the middle of a forest so unavoidable, the staff do an amazing job with bed nets and didn’t have any mosquitos issues.

Service was exceptional. Staff were always looking to help with baggage, if your room needed anything, offering turn down service. While we had breakfast staff asked if we wanted our room cleaned while we ate. Staff organized a private driver for our departure day. The cost for the driver was added to our room bill. Which was great as it saved me from having to convert more cash to IDR. We stayed in villa 13 with a private pool. It had good privacy and was still close enough to the common area (bar & restaurant). Pool was clean and at a great temperature to cool us off from the heat. Music played throughout the day and evening was very good! Light house music during the day and at dinner changed to nice jazz music.

Too be extremely picky. For dinner we had a glass of wine, steak and fries. Asked for the steak to be cooked medium. Steak was probably closer cooked to medium well / well done.....Food tasted great! After finishing our meal, the plates could have been removed faster from the table. Last item, we stayed in villa 13. In the morning there was a neighbor playing music that we could hear. I believe the other rooms/villas were in positions where the music was block better by walls or trees. This isn't a knock against the hotel but just a heads up to those staying in villa 13 you may hear music in the morning from a nearby home :)

Sanglung Villas & Suites is the perfect stay if you want to relax and enjoy in a peaceful and quiet environment. We spent our first days on the island here and it was all we needed. Room was great, very comfortable beds and the bathroom was so spacious and luxurious. The staff was super friendly and always willing to help. Breakfast was also very tasty. They have a good menu, also for dinner. Highly recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay but were kind of surprised that we needed to pay a surcharge on check out.
