There were homeless people staying there

It’s clean and they clean everyday.

The parking is hard to find if you drive. And sometimes they may put you up with some people who are not too clean. But it’s not the host fault coz they don’t know.

I was a very wary after reading the negative reviews but I was surprised the online check-in went smooth, the room and bed was clean and fresh. It was quiet and we actually had a great stay! We had a spacious private room with a private bathroom, I would recommend this suite to others. Our room had a small fridge. There is a bus stop on 2 min of the hostel. The staff is very friendly by chat.

The balcony didn't feel safe, when we stepped on it, it was shaking and not feeling stable. The bathroom had hairs on the walls, this could be more cleaner. There was only 1 toilet roll available and we had some communication issues by chat and took some time to be resolved.

the price was nice for where it is located in and also for the days we were stayed on, it was easy to find a parking spot on the streets, we found a safe area to walk late in the night, we were basically the only ones at the 2nd floor which was were the room was located, and the hood is full of things to do, restaurants and attractions, if youre not planning to stay longer at the room and are gonna be visiting and out all the day this is a great option, simple but perfect for the price, it has not a TV, the blinds are clear, it means you can not have darkness mean you sleep but its also helpful if you have many things planned ahead. its a lit cold on December and its not full equipment with blankets so you will probably have to sleep with a soft and furry pajama

The location is excellent. The bathroom is nice. I particularly like the safe—I didn't expect it since it wasn't mentioned on the profile page, or maybe I just missed it. It's super convenient for storing my valuables.

I wish they'd offer more basic amenities such as a hair dryer or water vending machine. Also, I'm a bit confused about the storage slots in the kitchen. I couldn't find instructions on how they organize the numbering system.

There wasn't one thing I could think of except the neighborhood...don't walk at night..I thought I was being kind by buying a homeless man a water after he asked me for money..and he got mad and threw the bottle at me and chased me down the street .so..it's Los Angeles..be ready for anything

This place is exceptional. I booked last minute, the night of the LA marathon, and was assured over the phone that space would be made. The site itself is A1, really clean, really quiet. Staff went out of their way to make sure my bags were protected when I left to run, completely above and beyond the call. I’d rate 15/10 if I could. Thank you for helping me with my big night, I was in really good hands here.

Nothing at all

I have stayed several times in some hostels in Los Angeles. I usually go out to evangelize and talk to young Latinos from the most vulnerable communities. At Normandie hostel I felt at home. The people, the staff, the location, the facilities, everything is wonderful. I highly recommend it.

They could put more emphasis on cleanliness.

Brand new and clean with a spacious kitchen. Bonus point: You can see the Hollywood sign straight from the kitchen. Excellent bedroom design so you can have your privacy in the shared room. The price is awesome. I want to thank the manager Lena for organizing and offer such great place to stay.
