- So as an introverted traveler I opted for the private room, better choose. I can't adapt to a hostel with a shared room and I found this one at an affordable price and even better, a private room. - The room was very cozy, the bed was comfortable, it had a fan and heater. - The location is a little further away from the Walk of Fame, but about 10 minutes away, you can normally walk to the subway and convenience stores in minutes. - I arrived before check in and I was able to leave my suitcase in a room at no cost. - All the people I saw in the hostel were very good vibes. - I saw some reviews about there being a lot of homeless people outside of the hostel, yes, this could become something bad, but really, none of them messed with me or tried to talk to me, So it didn't bother me, but I'm Brazilian, so that could be why I didn't have any problems with that. :) - A tip: my room was on the second floor, during my stay, I arrived at night after spending the day at Universal Studios, and there was a party with very loud music, and it was already more than 11 pm, but when I entered my room, I didn't hear nothing else, so if you like parties and don't mind noise it won't be a problem for you, but if you're like me, I advise you to ask to stay on the second floor :)

- When I checked in, I went to the room and the maid was cleaning the room, I asked her just to confirm if the room would be available in a few minutes and she didn't speak a word of English, which became a little complicated, because of communication and the fact that my room wasn't ready, and I checked in at the time the hotel requested, I had to wait about 10 minutes, it didn't take long, but after a tiring plane ride, those minutes can be annoying. The only problem that I had, so is that hotels always require tourists to respect check-in and check-out times, I think it's worth the hostel paying attention to this.

Room: The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious for a hostel. The beds were cozy, and the linens provided were fresh and crisp. I appreciated the attention to detail in terms of cleanliness, as the room was spotless upon my arrival. The presence of a safe in the room offered an extra layer of security for my belongings, which was a thoughtful addition. Overall, the room provided a pleasant and comfortable environment for a good night's sleep. Location: One of the highlights of Banana Bungalow Hollywood is undoubtedly its fantastic location. Situated in the heart of Hollywood, the hostel is within walking distance of many popular attractions, including the Hollywood Walk of Fame, TCL Chinese Theatre, and the Hollywood Bowl. I must admit though that we were very happy about the gate and protected entrance to the Hotel, as the homeless situation in LA is scary. We saw many "unpleasant" situations and persons in the immediate surroundings of the hotel. Breakfast: The complimentary breakfast provided at Banana Bungalow Hollywood was a delightful way to start each day. The breakfast spread offered a variety of options, including cereals, bread, pastries, fresh fruits, and a selection of hot beverages. We particularly enjoyed the opportunity to mingle with fellow travelers in the common dining area while enjoying a hearty breakfast.

Overall, my stay at Banana Bungalow Hollywood was pleasant, with comfortable accommodations and a convenient location. However, it's worth noting that homelessness and safety concerns are present in the surrounding area. By staying informed and taking necessary precautions, visitors can still have a rewarding experience in this dynamic city.

I stayed 2 nights in a basic double room and 2 nights in a deluxe double room at the Banana Bungalow Hollywood Hotel. The location is convenient. It is close to the Hollywood/Vine metro station that can take you to Union station or West Hollywood. The basic room had everything that I required. The deluxe room added a kitchen and more space. The breakfast was basic, but still good. Overall, I have nothing to really complain about.

Nothing negative jumps out. The hotel/hostel is geared towards socializing, so there is music throughout the day and parties in the weekend. This never really disturbed me, but was also not what I was looking for.

Staff is really friendly and cool. There are programs each day of the week. The breakfast is quite good. (Strongest brewed coffee I had in the States.)

Parking space is limited, first come first served. We had a spot, so good for us. I didnt like the continous music, but this is a hostel so I understood the rules:) The homeless situation is terrible in Hollywood, there are some tents close to the gate. But the hotel is super safe!!

Good value! I stayed in a private room, and the bathroom floor space was more ample than I'd have imagined. A shower was installed, no bathtub, so that was ideal for me but might not be for others. Satellite TV channels available in room. Cheap snacks and drinks available at the vending machines. Weekly night activities in the courtyard

There was a multi-tent camp propped up on the city sidewalk right there on Hollywood Blvd, just west of the hotel entrance and across the street too (heading further toward attractions on Hollywood). A food bank is across the street from hotel, so people are camped out close by. I felt unsafe to walk by these camps as a female solo traveler. There's nothing that the hotel can control, but just telling it like it is so other travelers can be aware

Room was nice and clean! Staff was also very friendly and accommodating. The location was very good overall and super close to everything Hollywood has to offer.

The only thing I didn’t like was the view from our room because it was of a homeless camp shortly down the road. The fact that the homeless camp was so close was a little scary at night, BUT that being said I did feel very safe once inside the hotel since there is a code and it’s gated and being able to park inside the gate was very convenient and safe feeling too.

The free breakfast is available daily until 10:30am The location was perfect for attending the pride parade as the stage was only 2 blocks away. The rooms aren't huge but big enough and mine had a kitchen which was very convenient. The staff are great <3

The top bunk is very high and the ladder isn't great. Depending on who you're roomed with it can be a very pleasant or very sleep depriving experience or in my case, both. A lot of weird men stay at hostels (not exclusive to this one) but beware young female solo travellers! Boundaries will be your best friend.

We really liked the accommodation. The room was large and spacious, with a slightly older design but nothing to complain about. It features a small kitchenette with just the basics—plates and cutlery—sufficient for a short stay. The staff is amazing; everyone was very attentive and went above and beyond to help with any questions. The breakfast, although simple, is also very tasty. The location is fantastic, just one block from the Walk of Fame. The hotel also organizes small gatherings for guests in the central area, which is very comfortable and open. We would gladly stay here again.

The Wi-Fi could be improved.

All staffs were super friendly. They kindly let us to check in earlier even though we arrived in the morning because of our flight schedules. It was so helpful as we have been exhausted from long flights. Unexpectedly they have organized a BBQ party for all customers with all you can eat and drink for free while our stay. It was so generous! I could not prevent from tipping in. They seem like they often organize free events without profit. I really admire their attitude as I have found out everywhere in USA has been getting so expensive compared to the last time I traveled. Even though their facilities were old, they have a lot of great facilities which regular hotels don't have such like Karaoke, Billiard, Pin Pong, Football table game and Basketball gall. So you can enjoy your time in LA even in the hotel.

Because we stayed in LA during the Greater Los Angeles wildfires, unfortunately sightseeing sites including public museums were all closed during our stay. But it's not hotel's fault. We were just unlucky. Although the area of the hostel didn't have any issues for the fire, as soon as we landed in LA, our smartphones have sent us the automatic alert messages to evacuate from LA continuously. It has freaked us out.

Everything was amazing, the people who works here is very kind with you, the breakfast is also good, and it has a good vibe. Always everything clean and with parties at night. Maybe if you don't like too much loud or parties this is not your hostel, but they turn off the music at 11 pm. Say thank you to Tiki, because he has a very good vibe and is always smiling and taking care of you, even if he is with a lot of work. And thank you to all the staff! Was a very good stay.

Nothing, it was everything well with the stay.
