Very nice bedding, mattress and pillow - all tops. Bathroom also very clean, almost new, well appointed - fresh towels everyday. Room not big but big enough. Overall vibe of the hotel is very nice, subtly very cool. Reception staff charming and quite helpful. Location is ideal. Beach towels provided everyday, beach chairs provided, umbrella available at cost - the beach is to die for!!

There is no gym, despite listing. Rest staff confused about happy hour pricing (nit-picking here but we never went back as a result). A bottle of water costs $12 at the bar 😳.

Location - it’s in the art deco area which is the nicest along Miami Beach (in our opinion). We had a room with sea view on floor 3 which was great to wake up to Guests get a free drink during happy hour - choice of three. The G&T was great. 20% discount on food - the hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor and onto the front. Room was ok size wise with really good bed and pillows. Lovely bathroom, although shower heat could be a bit fickle. The restaurant food was very good, although one meal arrived cold, which was replaced immediately upon mentioning this. Free beach towels available from reception and loungers on beach for guest use.

There was no coffee machine in the room or free coffee/tea in the reception - you essentially order and pay as you go from the bar. Not a problem for us but it looked like parking was expensive, either using the Valet or self parking in a multi-story nearby. My advice would be not to take a car. We returned from a trip to the Keys but dropped car at airport before heading into S Beach on the 150 bus which goes direct and costs $2.

This Hotel is very tidy and our room was beautifully decorated and also kept in prime condition by the household. Comfy bed. Prime location right next to the beach. Handy and fast valet service. Good breakfast with many options - although a bit pricy. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, made us feel welcome. The Argentinian bartender was very nice, made me and my son hand-crafted strawberry lemonade, delicious! Had a nice chat too.

The only minus was the somewhat thin door to the corridor. Could use better sound insulation. This wasn’t a big deal since there was not too much traffic in the corridor.

Loved the staff, so helpful and informative. Located between 8th and 9th Sat, across the road from Muscle Beach and Miami Beach beyond. At the beach turn right and go to the kiosk by the blue umbrellas. Tell them you are at the Pelican Hotel and you’ll get a lounge chair. For a small cost they’ll lend an umbrella although we got one for free. Pelican Hotel has a $10 breakfast + tax and a cheaper dinner menu. There’s valet parking but we didn’t have a car so can’t comment on cost. You get one free drink during happy hour 4-7pm, wine, vodka or mocktail. We stayed a week and would love to return. Given it’s on Ocean Drive, near nightclubs it was surprisingly quiet.

The hotel was in a brilliant place, right in the middle of South Beach. It was decorated beautifully inside and the rooms were really quirky. The staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were greeted every time we entered the hotel and wished a great day every time we left. The breakfast was beautiful and the service amazing. We wished we’d tried the lunch and dinner menu, as the food looked amazing but unfortunately ran out of time. There was also a free drink between 4pm and 7pm, which was a lovely free extra. I would not hesitate to stay here again!!

There was nothing we didn’t like it was the perfect hotel for us.

My friend and I had a great stay at Pelican Hotel. Every room has its own theme and we got a kick out of ours, which was boudoir-themed. There were plenty of food and drink options in the area, we had happy hour drinks every evening at the Pelican bar, and we were provided two beach towels and chairs every day. The staff (including front desk, bartenders, and housekeeping) was friendly and everything looked clean and new!

By the Ocean Drive, close to everything here, clean, friendly staff, welcome drink, basically all good... and a very nice mattress - quite hard, but we liked it.

If you get the basic room, you have a view on the opposite wall (approx 3m in front of the window) - not nice at all. The room is very basic, there is (as many others wrote) a lot of noise from cracks in the door , but probably less than in the rooms facing the street.

Good location. Comfortable bed. The room is clean.

There is no kettle or coffee maker in the room. You can get boiling water at the bar on the first floor. Bring a thermos and a cup with you. You will pay about $9 for a cappuccino at the hotel bar. Be careful when showering. If the toilet is flushed in the room above you, the water in your shower will immediately become very hot. We did not use the hotel parking. You will find parking two blocks away from the hotel for $20 per day.

Rooms were even better than expected. The pictures don't do them justice! Service was perfect and everyone was very kind. Definitely recommend staying here! Won't be the last time we will stay at Pelican Hotel!

Roomkeeping was a bit loud in the morning as we slept in. 9am and we could hear them yelling all the way up to our room.

The staff were great. They helped me with everything. Location was fantastic.

It’s a Miami thing but the 20% tip is included on the bill and there’s an extra line for more gratuity. When I asked about it they said the first 20% is split with rest of staff and the additional is what the actual waiter gets. That’s a cringy thing they do in USA so not the hotels fault but it’s a massive bummer to all parties. The other kind of bummer was my room theme was Hollywood and I’m from California with my legal dress in a Hollywood. Would have loved any other theme than where I’m from already, since themed rooms was the whole draw. It was cool theme, just wasn’t meant for me. Others would like it.
