The Breakwater is located in the heart of Ocean Drive - Miami Beach. Enjoyed our stay so much. Could be rebooked the main building and are very thankful to Elisa Harold, who did a great job on this :-) You must know, It's crowdy and load every evening. But if you go hanging out with the guys it's great fun. See and to be seen is all that matters. And the fantastic cars on the Oceandrive :-) WOW Can recommend some days. Beach is very near :-)

Breadfast is poor.... no tea available, only coffee and water.... Bring own food and enjoy or have breakfast in another place ;-)

The room is a far cry from the pictures on all booking websites. The room was extremely basic. There was no color or accents. I was very disappointed 😞.

Close to beach, resturants and nightlife. Hotel provided free beach towels and chairs.

Great location on South Beach in beautiful Art Deco area. Beach is across the street.

Free breakfast but staff at breakfast was generally unprepared like coffee not being ready until 20 minutes after start of breakfast and staff seemed to think it wasn’t even important and offered no apologies at all. Front desk staff were good though.

Staff was very easy to deal with. We had an issue with the first room which got resolved immediately by the receptionist Lilly. Very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a huge bedroom. Complimentary Water and coffee in the room.

The room would need to be pre-checked before a guest checks into the room. Our first room had a paint smell as it seemed to have been painted recently. There was a paint tray in the room as well. The receptionist was very helpful and moved us to another room. Florida law doesn't permit windows that can be opened in higher levels which made it quite difficult to get fresh air in. The breakfast was not in the actual hotel but approximately 150m down the Ocean Driver in the "Victor Hotel".

Strong smell in the room and hallway (chemicals used to clean?) + not to able to open the windows.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location is optimal for partying and enjoying the nightlife.

The queensize bed was not comfortable for 2 persons. The noise of people partying is hearable throughout the night. If you want to get some sleep you will not get it there.

Location was perfect, room was nice, bed comfortable, bathroom modern and clean. Included breakfast was good, and had no problems during our stay. Staff were helpful, if not overly friendly. Would recommend for anybody wanting to stay in the heart of South Beach. The atmosphere of the Cuban restaurant is really nice, although we weren't there for the show, sadly.

Getting to your room via an elevator located in the corner of the Mamma Mia ice cream shop around the corner is a bit odd, but I suppose one of the quirks of an old art deco building and hotel that has been through some changes over the years.

This is a comfortable hotel with adequate communal space in a great location. This is a historic property in the heart of South Beach on Ocean drive. It was superb value for money. The staff try hard to sort out issues. We had a lovely spacious room which had all the necessary extras - TV, Fridge, Coffee making facilities etc. 2 bottles of water were provided daily and the breakfast was a typical US breakfast.

The noise from the restaurant and surrounding bars. Although we did not hear this in our room. One of the lifts also broke down while we were there which was a bit annoying but the other one worked fine

The location is great, the staff was very nice. The food and drinks were good and priced reasonable. The rooms were clean. I would definitely stay there again.

Parking too expensive. The outdoor nightclub on the north side of the property plays LOUD music till 1am, so forget about sleeping before 1am... I went to the staff in the morning and they changed my room to the south side of the hotel. This solved the problem. The time of my trip was off season and the hotel had an unoccupied room that they let me switch to. If it was fully booked, I would have been screwed and had to endure the big bass beat Latino music till 1am. So beware, if you want to sleep before 1am be sure to get a room that is NOT on the north side of the property.

The hotel was spectacular! It completely exceeded our expectations. It is at amazing location with dozens of great restaurants and bars in close vicinity for either breakfast, lunch, or dinner. And the hotel restaurant and bar is simply outstanding!!! The night we arrived there was a live dance show in the hotel bar and we literally stand there and watched for a while with mouths open :).

Some rooms might be a bit more noisy even in late night if they have windows facing to main streets where all the bars are.
