The location is fantastic! Situated just opposite Niigata Station, it makes getting around incredibly convenient. The neighborhood is lively, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, offering lots of dining and shopping options. The room itself is a highlight—it looks new, well-maintained, and clean, which made for a pleasant stay.

The bathroom, unfortunately, feels like it hasn’t been updated in years. The outdated design was a stark contrast to the modern room. Only two pillows were provided, which felt insufficient for a comfortable night’s rest. Additional pillows would have been appreciated.

English speaking staff (short-hair) at the reception was very accomodating and helpful. She went beyond my expectation in searching for a strawberry farm for us. Very much appreciated.

There was a problem with my key card, i later approached reception desk to change/udate the key card. Still the problem existed without being fixed when i tried to open my room. I then rang reception again to bring an updated key to me upstairs since it was inconvenient for me to revisit them downstairs for the second time. The staff acknowledged but no one came until I called them again after 15mins of waiting. In front of my room. I was wondering, they might have kept me waiting all night if i didnt call them for the second time.

The hotel is very conveniently located just across a plaza from the train station, with an inviting entrance and lobby. At a very short walking distance, one can find many convenience stores and a wide variety of restaurants. The whole hotel was impeccably clean and well maintained. The rooms are not large but well equipped with a refrigerator, a round table and a bench where one can both relax or work. I appreciated that there was a LAN cable besides WiFi, and I used the water cooker and refrigerator a lot. The Japanese breakfast was good but not too exciting; western guests not accustomed to Japanese food will, however, not find too much choice. The staff very friendly and helpful and had an above average command of English compared to other Japanese hotels.

No complaints, really :-) Some of my colleagues found the mattresses rather hard. Opening a large suitcase is not completely straightforward if one does not like to place it on the table, but the problem can be handled.

I was truly surprised at how much grander the hotel is than what I had expected. This is a hotel that is across the road from the train station and I paid £34 for the night. It comes with a common bath for hotel guests with rest area and 3 massage chairs for use. The room is very spacious, I had a true double bed in the room (about 160cm wide), a sort of sofa bench and a round coffee table that's a bout a meter in diameter. Plus lots of hooks on the war for hanging various items. There's a fridge as well. Bathroom is on the small size but there's still a tub and washlet toilet. Surprisingly good for what I paid for and the location is supreme. It's round the corner from the main eatery street and a big size 7-11 next door. Location cannot be more perfect. Also again reemphasising how cheap it is!

If you look a bit closer at everything, there's loads of dust settled on various items and the exhaust fan doesn't look like it's been cleaned ever. Carpet could also do with a deep clean. That's it.

This hotel is literally across the road from Niigata Station. Room was extremely comfortable and a had a lovely hard mattress. Lifts were reasonably fast. Loved the secret bathhouse (sento) which was accessible via another lift to the basement. Lots of restaurants behind the hotel to choose from but I recommend making a reservation as they fill up quickly. Convenient store 7/11 was just around the corner.

Aircon was a little patchy and hard to control.

Enjoy our stay in this hotel. I would highly recommend it for leisure and business. Aside from its trendy room space and its complete amenities. It offer free use of massage chair, spa and onsen. Take a hearty breakfast meal at this hotel, its affordable and has a train station view. Its location is very convenient. Close to shops and restaurant and busses. You never get hungry at midnight its convenience store is adjacent just adjacent and had a wide food selection . Vertical parking space at the hotel is limited to small vechicle. Another option is the hotel recommendation. It is a few walk from the hotel and it cost 1000yen(originally 1,200 less 200yen hotel discount)

The hotel is conveniently located right across from the train station on a quiet side, allowing you to easily stroll to the vibrant nightlife just across the street. A pleasant surprise is the public bath, which feels like a hot tub but is incredibly relaxing, with high-quality amenities. The buffet breakfast is excellent, and the fresh tofu is my favorite. We will definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Niigata.

Very convenient to the station snd a street full of restaurants . The staff were very good and attentive it was very clean and had a hot springs bathing room in the basement. Room was renovated to a good standard.

I liked everything except my bathroom which seemed a bit dated compared to the room and smelt moldy. I only used the toilet and washed in the public bath in the basement .

The hotel itself was really nice for what you're paying for. The location is unbeatable since its literally across the street from Niigata Station. The included breakfast buffet at DINNING EDIT ECHIGO was great, had a wide variety of options, and included several local dishes for guests to enjoy.

The bathroom is elevated and the step is kind of high which while not a huge issue was a little annoying.

The staff were very professional and provided service with a smile. We took our luggage the night before check-in to store at the hotel as we were going to catch the ferry the following day and were going to be late for check-in. There was no problem, and they had a process which made us more comfortable. The location is fantastic, it is just opposite the train station and the tourism information office and the many good dining spaces.

There is nothing to complain. We loved it and will go back.
