It’s a small, peaceful and beautiful place with the most kind staff. Beautiful, well decorated and clean rooms with a perfect bed. We’ve celebrated New Year’s eve on the private beach with a delicious bbq, music and fireworks. The staff really tries to do everything to make you feel comfortable and we did feel like royals! All food is home made and delicious. It was the perfect place to end our Sri Lanka tour!

Really nothing we didn’t like. Everything was great and everyone was so kind! Even the train track wasn’t annoying, but a real part of the scenery.

We stayed in eight high-end boutique properties across Sri Lanka during our spectacular 11-day trip (and visited another ten properties along the way). Rock Villa was the clear winner in all categories. The service and hospitality were unparalleled, the room impeccable, the location out-of-this-world, the gardens immaculate, the private beach area, including mangroves, deserted, and spectacularly well maintained, the food (dinner and breakfast) exceptional.

There are no suggestions, improvements, or complaints. Perhaps only that we couldn't stay longer. We have every intention of returning in the not-too-distant future...

What a great place. Staff were excellent, The grounds are so well kept. The private beach is amazing and you have your own attendant. Very colonial by design and a real boutique experience. Food was also amazing, really varied and top quality at reasonable prices . Nice touches in the room with Nespresso maker and the wonderful anti mosquito lotion. The outside seating area they give you a bell to ring if you need anything. The one special treat is the 4 o'clock afternoon tea that is included. Very British

My room (2) was very comfortable but very dark with very little natuaral light

We loved our stay here. Everything is arranged for in detail. The location is beautiful, super spacious and calm. Relaxing at the pool was amazing and it is super close to the beach (a quiet part), where there are also some beach chairs, towels and drinking water. We had a little porch attached to our room which we also loved. The food was really good as well.

The warm water supply (shower) seemed to be limited.

The location was perfect, a short walk across the railway track to the long sandy beach. The small boutique hotel was very homey, comfortable and stylish.

Our 2 bedroom villa with private swimming pool wasn’t very private as staff kept walking through. A little too attentive… however, the pool and villa was very nice 😊

This is without doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The bed was so comfy and the manager upgraded us free of charge to a superb suite which was immaculate. Everything was high quality even the complimentary shampoo and conditioner was wonderful! The staff were so attentive but discreet and little touches like homemade popsicles were on offer at the beachfront when we finished our 2 hour walk along the beach. All the food was utterly delicious and the settling after dark was almost more beautiful than by day that we had to pinch ourselves that it was real!! It was my birthday during our stay and they made a delicious birthday cake free of charge which was such a lovely touch. We loved the settling and although you have to cross over the railway line and walk through immaculate mangroves to get to the beach it was rather pleasant to do so and hearing the train go past occasionally was not unpleasant nor was the call to prayer from the temple nearby. Neither woke us up during our sleep. Even when we were leaving and I had left a charger in the room they were right there ensuring I had it before driving off. We will definitely return to this little bit of heaven and thank Anjana the manager so much for giving me a birthday I will never forget.

The place is fantastic. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and big, the only issue was that it was a bit tricky to keep the window open since there was no mosquito net. Regarding the food, we had the most amazing Sri Lankan breakfast at Rock Villa.

I loved everything about the hotel. it is truly perfect. The staff are amazing. The food, the location, the room, services. It has to be the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in ever!
