The hotel is just as described. It is lovely and the furnishings seemed like a fair tribute to times past. Though it was very cold the room was cozy and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was excellent as there are so many things one can do by foot. We were there in the winter so we could not enjoy the patio but one can only imagine how pleasant it would be in the spring. The breakfast was nice as it offered many items which were made fresh (scrambled eggs and pancakes, for example) and offered some typically Southern items (grits, sausage). If we return we could want to stay here again. The restaurant was also quite nice with a menu that had a Mediterranean flair.

The restaurant was somewhat cold but one could wear an extra sweater. It seemed likely that in the spring it was connected to the patio and the glass wall was probably not able to keep out the cold. One had to find the right table that was near a heat source to be comfortable.

The property was lovely and a little spooky and charming. We had everything we needed to be comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind and made it feel like we were at home. It was really convenient to everything and we were able to walk to just about everything we wanted to explore in Natchez.

It wasn’t spotlessly clean, although it was pretty clean. There were cobwebs on some of the light fixtures. Also our room could have used a few more lamps- it was pretty dark. Fine usually but a challenge to get ready to go out at night. It would have been nice to have a robe and maybe nicer soap and shampoo (we had dollar store bottles in our room) but no big deal. Also the armoire key was missing and I had to use a hair pin to get it open which was the only place to store our clothes.

I liked that Willie greeted me on the sidewalk & escorted me to meet Miss Denise. Miss Denise, a regal, statuesqe and gracious southern lady who is the General Manager of The Guest House. She gave the impression of being very happy to have me as a guest so I immediately felt a warm welcome. As it was after dinner hours, I was grateful the restaurant was open. Chef Hakam was expecting me! Willie had alerted him that I mentioned being hungry for a burger. Hakam had it pattied up and expertly served it with a side of fries. So beautiful that I took a picture! I meet Brennan on my last morning. I had contemplated church but slept in since it was my last morning. I was feeling a bit sheepish for backing out of church and then I ran into Brennan. That young man exudes kindness and a wonderful sense of peace. He helped me with all my bags and packages and by the time we made it to my vehicle, I felt as though I made a new friend! There is a wonderful girl, Karlee, who I luckily met as I checking out. What an absolute delight! Her exuberance is contagious and I throughly enjoyed her. She made me feel as if she was happy I had a great time.

Only that I couldn't book my reservation for next year yet. 😀

The bed was very comfortable and a plus for having a black make up towel. The location is good. Close to the cute shops and about 20 min walk to the river and the bar, Under the hill saloon. The shower is great. Fast Wi-Fi and free parking on the street right outside the hotel. The lady in the reception was very nice and helpful. Beside the dinner area it was free Tea and coffee at all times and a microwave. Good air conditioner.

The girls serving breakfast wasn’t nice at all. The breakfast could be much better. You had to pic from a menu with already selected choices, with not much to choose from. The room didn´t have a refrigerator. It would be nice to have a small one for cold drinks when it´s so hot outside. The TV wasn’t working.

Upon arrival the staff was very polite and helpful. They answered all of our questions and provided additional information on the city sites, restaurants and weekend events. The restaurant was very convenient, cozy, clean and the staff was amazing. I met the Chef and our server Dana went above and beyond to make our weekend special. The room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. The location was very convenient, we were able to walk about town comfortably. We have already started planning our next visit.

We could have used a small refrigerator in our room but it did not spoil our stay.

We enjoyed the Southern charm of the Guest House, including the very generous and delicious breakfast included in our stay. The staff were very friendly, and the convenient location allowed us the benefit of being able to walk to most any attraction downtown.

The toilet in our room oftentimes made sounds ... we are guessing the tank needed adjustment, but this was hampered by a shelving unit that was installed right above the tank lid ... so this might impede immediate access for repair purposes. We simply closed the bathroom door in the evenings to mute those sounds.

Staff was very nice and friendly. Mary, the housekeeper , General Manager and cafeteria staff was outstanding. The GM came and made sure we were okay in every aspect of our stay. Hats off to the chef’s , the food was great. The property is beautiful and maintained well. You all are doing great in preserving the originality of the mansion. The rooms are beautiful!

Didn’t like paying up front and no way to split the bill for the stay with whomever you shared the room with thereby making one person put the cost of the entire stay on their credit card .You could only split the charges if you had cash. Most of us had cc’s. The toilets were too short for us . My sisters and I range in age from 57-78 so it wasn’t comfortable for us. Rails need to be put in the bathroom on first floor, (Rm 152 )make this room on first floor handicap accessible since it has a high toilet already.

Our stay was amazing. We really enjoyed everything. The room was wonderful, and the beds were so comfortable . The staff was friendly and helpful. Denise was extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast was very good. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely return and recommend Guest House to others.

Book.com needs to fix the check-in and check out times it is NOT check in 12 pm and check out at 12 pm. The correct time is to check in at 3 pm. Check out 11 am.

Location was great, walking distance to many little places in the downtown area. Breakfast was excellent each morning. The room was very comfortable, and the staff was very accommodating.

only complaint would be that the bar as advertised as an amenity was never opened with anyone manning it. Understandable that it’s a small bed-and-breakfast but I would take that out as an amenity since no one‘s ever in there and it’s not open.

The place has a real and great historic vibe. My kids asked why we were sleeping at a museum, just to put things into perspective :-) Big room with a historic decor. Helpful staff and great location (very central in Natchez and you can get to all places of interest on foot).

The fixtures in the bathroom were tired (the switch for shower/bahtub was literally hanging from the wall of the bathub). The ladies in the breakfast room were not too friendly (by this I don't mean rude, just not the usual South-of-the-US-friendly). The cooked-to-orderd breakfast had limited choice (much more limited for hotel guests than guests from the outside).
