I rarely bother writing reviews, sorry. However..... the main reason I am doing is the staff. It's a YHA hostel so you expect cleanliness and decent facilities - this more than hit the mark there. The staff though were exceptional, wish I'd got their names - a young lass and a guy with a ponytail is all I can offer. Attentive, friendly, engaging, helpful etc etc etc.They didn't just respond but were proactively interested. I actually felt like a VIP! Hats off

There was a ram and sheep that kept trying to butt their way into the building through any door they could find. They didn't do it anywhere near for as long as I would have liked......

Clean, friendly, efficient, no issues, able to use all facilities at all hours as required. Beds equipped with individual light and charging station complete with USB-A sockets per bed, is quite a nice touch, and very "today" but still handy in this day and age.

Noise from piping / water or heating or some other source made quite a rachet. Whilst I had ear plugs to drown it out, my friend did not. No Guest access to freezer (thus not 24h which limited my ability to get my freezer blocks refrozen, needed to get cold stuff up the mountain), just one of the fridges having a small freezer space up top as is common would have been sufficient.

The staff were very kind and professional, providing very clear check in instructions and ensuring we were aware of all the facilities available to us. The room was very clean and neat, clearly having been cleaned and inspected before our arrival. The communal bathrooms were clean and we didn't have to wait to use them at any time. The staff went above and beyond to help us, we left an item in the car that had dropped us off and when it was left at reception the staff made an effort to have it reunited with us. We stayed at a number of places in llanberis and this will be our only choice going forward.

Honestly, I love staying at YHA—it's never disappointing. It's always clean, I feel safe and it's great value for money. We stayed in the pod, which was lovely and the shared bathroom was really close and again, super clean. The mountain views were beautiful. We did the BBQ and loved it! The kitchen was well-equipped—you could easily cook a 3-course meal if you wanted to haha!

NOTHING :) Just a note for visitors without a car: it's quite a walk from the town center in my opinion, especially on cold days.

Place was fabulous - been before, and I love it, great self-service kitchen, beds comfy with own lights and USB ports. Easy access via bridal path to cut through to Ranger Path and onto Snowdon summit. Only 10min walk to town centre Llanberis, and very close to stunning waterfall. Quiet serene location with awesome views. Highly recommended.

A mass of unruly very loud kids / children (Scout Group and/or DofE Group ?) en-masse blocking entrance hall, and then literally leaving dozens of pairs of very wet boots and equipment in the reception area (trip hazard & dirty!) Whoever the Scout Leader was, please instruct your group to have More Respect for other guests, and staff at the YHA. Scout Leader should know better, and not teaching children to be tidy and respectful is a massive failing on their part. Nothing to do with the quality of the hostel - and NOT an issue with YHA at all - this is about other 'guests' not respecting the YHA.

Everyone was so friendly and location was excellent, was very very clean this was our second visit to this yha .

Breakfast , we were asked what time we would be down for breakfast and we said 8.30am , when we arrived it was obvious to see it had been sitting under a hot plate for a long time and dried out , in any other establishment I would have demanded a refund but let it slide because everything else was amazing

Very clean facility, with a well stocked kitchen in an excellent setting. Plenty of car parking. Each bed (private quad room) had its own reading light, power socket and USB ports to charge your devices. Beds were comfortable. Toilets and shower rooms were clean and the lounge was big and tidy too. Friendly staff as well. Overall great value.

Water pressure was quite low, to the extent that we never managed to get warm water in the sink in the room. The shower was really low on pressure too, but water was nice and warm. Lounge could do with more things to do, maybe like other YHAs nearby, like Ranger. The quad room was a little on the smaller side, unlike other YHAs I've stayed at.

We are a group of 5 young lads who stayed here for one night with the plan of climbing Snowdon early in the morning for sunrise. The beds were so comfy we struggled to get out of them. The receptionist was very friendly and competent and it made for a good trip. Parking was ample and the hostel was situated just a 10 minute walk from the bottom of the Llanberis path. Ideal for anyone who wants to save money without sacrificing much comfort.

There were very little issues with this place. The room was slightly too cramped for the 5 of us and the noise coming from other travellers in the hallway was audible but didn't affect our sleep too badly. Other than these minor issues this hostel exceeded my expectations.

It's about 20 minutes from the village centre. The room was clean, and the shared showers were just outside. The staff were friendly and good at explaining things.

I expected the kitchen to have salt, pepper, and sugar, but it didn't. The parking spaces in the car park are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. no TV at the room

Customer service, friendly people ( at the hostel and in town), localisation ( beautiful views) access to the kitchen ( self catering)

Poor wi-fi ( internet access is useful for re-search when your not local) , two outside lodges need better heating ( on a rainy day it wasn't cold, but it wasn't warm enough either). Also I think it would be safer to have an all night reception for safety reasons
