Amazing view. Good facilities. Unique decor.

Just be aware it's not too close to the town, there are some snack bars nearby. I managed to visit without a car but i would not recommend unless you are fit and don't have many bags.

The silence was deafening and very therapeutic in both abode and in Sao Vincente itself. The guest house was fantastic in everyway in terms of facilities, location, aesthetics and the scenery it offered. It is run/owned by a very helpful, social and laid back guy who goes out his way to oblige. Sao Vincente is small but offers a multitude of facilities in terms eateries, pubs and cafes all at affordable prices (cheap as chips really). For athletic types there are very scenic walks/runs, good mountain biking routes and some surfing going on. Lastly if your feeling the pressure I suggest this is the place to come to relieve that stress.

I had an amazing time at this Guest House. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with beautifully decorated rooms that were spotless and comfortable. The host was incredibly warm and attentive, offering great local tips and making sure I had everything I needed. The location was perfect—peaceful yet close to major attractions. The view of the mountains and the sea are breathtaking. The stay felt like a home away from home, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

I liked everything

Great place to stay in Sao Vicente - nice and quite house with amazing view with all equipment which you need. The location is perfect to plane hikes (amazing levada faja de rodriguez is really nearby). Perfect place to stay for everybody ( family, group of friends, solo traveller, couples) - the house is really spaceous. The owner of this house is really helpfull during all our stay - we are really thankfull, that we can meet somebody like him. We stayed there just for 2 days (1 week trip to Madeira), but definetely not for the last time. Thanks for such a great experience.

Abolutely nothing

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this Guest House and regretted not being able to stay longer. The facilities are fantastic, with a fully equipped kitchen, designated refrigerator shelves for each room, and a terrace offering breathtaking views of both the mountains and the sea. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, perfect for unwinding. My room was modern, comfortable, and well-appointed. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would love to return!

The guest house is a gem on the hills above Sao Vicente. The area is very chill, so you can have a deep relaxation after/before hiking or surfing. The main grocery store is in 10 minutes walk, the bus also stops relatively close by. So the place is absolutely fine without a car. The kitchen was a very nice surprise, as the owners shared everything that you would need for cooking (basic spices, baking sheet, olive oil and all sorts of tools). The terraces are cute and cosy.

It was beautiful! Lovely location that felt still close to things but peaceful and quiet. The private room was great and the view from the room was lovely, but also it was really nice to have a big and fully equipped kitchen to share. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Honestly everything was really great. It was a tiny bit cold but that was so minor. Would highly recommend to anyone!

In total, we changed five accommodations on our 7 day trip to Madeira. I rate this accommodation as the best of all. The owner and his very friendly nature contributed to this. He accommodated us with everything, fulfilled everything we needed in a fairly short time. I love this accommodation and if we return to Madeira we will definitely visit this town and accommodation again. I recommend this accommodation to everyone who wants to have a wonderful time in São Vicente

The Guest House was located in a quite area of Sao Vicente. Our room had a clear picturesque view of the island and mountains. The balcony and room where spacious and beds were very comfortable. The guest house was very quite, and staff were not present at the guest house but easily contactable. Clear instructions to check in and check out, all amenities provided as shown at the time of booking.

Only 2 negatives were the noise of goats outside the room, but it was cute and tolerable. The bathroom was open from the top and didn't close completely.

The property has everything you may need for a vacation, it served as a good base for trips around the island. Bear in mind that you will need your own car to get in and out as it’s situated on the steep hill. On the other hand, that has an added benefit that you will have a nice view of Sao Vicente.

The bathroom doesn’t really have any partition to the room, so you end up using shared bathroom anyway as you don’t want to listen to every sound on the water basin or shower. It would definitely benefit from an actual brick wall and lockable door to the bathroom. Also the shared kitchen is sometimes pain, but that’s what you have to deal with when you are looking for these great deals.
