This property is beautiful. The room was tastefully decorated and very clean. It had everything we needed except an iron. Breakfast was a grand affair in the dining room by candlelight. It was different each day and was beautifully presented. It is well located within walking distance of the Medieval Town, however we found you can easily park at the end of the street and then it’s a short stroll into the city centre. This was a better option for us. You won’t regret choosing to stay here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay and Christine was an exceptionally lovely host who went above and beyond to make us feel very welcome. The manoir is absolutely beautiful and a quiet retreat, while still being close to the D Day beaches, museums and the Bayeux town center. Fantastic breakfasts, spacious rooms and really peaceful and quiet. We can't recommend highly enough.
Couldn't fault anything.

We have just spent 3 nights at the beautiful Le Manoir des Doyens in Bayeaux. Such charming manoir in peaceful grounds and a short walk away from the centre of Bayeaux Our host, Christine, couldn't have been more helpful. She welcomed us, advising us on the amenities and told us how to get into the centre. Anytime we needed advice on tourist attractions, parking etc, she was on hand with helpful tips and a great knowledge of the area. Friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Breakfast was good-a selection of croissants, pain au chocolate, brioche, cereals and cheese, amongst other items. The rooms were comfortable, light and airy and we were provided with tea, coffee and water. The location of the manoir is excellent - the Normandy beaches are within a short drive of the manor and Mont St Michel is around an hour and a half away. We really enjoyed our stay.
I always have issues with pillows but because we travelled by motorbike, I couldn't take mine. If I was being picky, I would say they could do with replacing as mine were a little lumpy.

Beautiful country manor house set in large Gardens. Situated on the edge of the city with an easy walk to the centre. We made made the most of the gardens in the evenings to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. Breakfast was typical of what you would expect in France. We would stay again.
Not a dislike, there is a railway line close by but the trains only ran during the day and were quiet compared to the UK.

This was an excellent property in all ways . The dining room was formally set without all the stuffiness it could have indicated . Our host Christine was always there with a smile and she made a major contribution to our comfort and ease . The rooms were airy , with a mix of old and new furniture , the beds super comfy . The mini museum and the little church on property were a history lesson in themselves . The gardens were magical with a mix of wild flowers and formal gardens . A ten out of ten in all ways . Come on Canadians ! And all visitors - this was part of the history lesson while being so close to the beaches of Normandy .
Absolutely nothing .

Breakfast in the mornings was lovely and Christine was a lovely hostess. Our room was large and spacious for a twin room and was welcomed as we had a lot of motorcycle luggage. The location was super and only a 20 minute walk to Bayeux town centre and the restaurants with loads of choice. A wonderful stay at a lovely property and city full of history.
Nothing as all expectations were met and exceeded.

This historical manor house was amazing! The property was lovely, the house itself was so comfortable, and our host, Christine, was absolutely delightful! An added bonus was the delicious breakfast she served AND the most interesting map room on the property. It's like a World War 2 mini-museum. I would definitely stay here again if I were to return to Bayeux!
Not a thing!!

This is a remarkable old manor house in a quiet location just outside bustling Bayeux. It is less than a mile if you walk. The property is beautifully furnished with antiques. The host, Christine, who is English, was most hospitable. The property includes a uniques “map room” established by the previous owner. It is a one-room personal museum dedicated to the D-day invasion.
Private bath is somewhat small, but adequate for our needs.

I loved the coziness of the place - felt like a home away from home. The host is very friendly and helpful. My room was adorably decorated and the windows looked into the garden. I was able to escape the craziness of D-day celebrations to this quiet haven because of the convenient location just outside the city center.
