The owner, Louis, is a wonderful chap, the room was large, and comfortably furnished. Also there's airconditioning! Outside area also wonderfully furnished with a big table and couches. The outside area, with pool and sloped gardens facing lush greenery and mountains was also beautiful.

The drive towards the lodge was more challenging than expected. Lots of dirt road in less than ideal conditions, which has you second guessing wanting to come in and out more than you need to. Imagined as well the swimming pool area was more secluded from the rooms, but the units are all close together facing the pool so if outside privacy is important this may not be ideal for you.

Stunning rooms with a stunning view. The accommodation has everything you could need and feels very home-away-from-home. The rooms are exceptionally clean and so is the outside area. We loved having a braai and sit at the bottom area overlooking the river mouth. The weather stopped us from having a bonfire, but we will just have to do that next time! We can't wait for our next stay.

The accommodation is lovely and so is the general street that it's in. The surrounding town area is not so great though and the drivers are unpredictable. I would suggest stocking up on what you need and enjoying your stay at the cabanas completely stress free :)

The view from the pool was beautiful overlooking a luscious green forest. It was a very serene and quiet environment. The place was very neat, clean and comfortable. Very nicely styled. My kids loved the bunk beds and the library. The owners were very friendly as well.

I only didn't like the gravel road needed to get there but once you drive a couple of times on it then you get used to it.

Clean, comfortable and bigger than expected. Welcoming friendly owner living on the property. The unit catered for everything you could possible need Coffee, Milk, toothpaste, shower gel, a modern clean bathroom. Immaculate pool, Fire Pit, Garden, etc. Great location with a beautiful view.

The kilometer or so of sand road leading to the property is in Poor condition. The Umtamvuna river is not within walking distance of the property.

The cabana was so sweet and really beautifully decorated. Brilliant setup for longer stays with a full kitchen. Bedroom is lovely and the bed so comfortable. Set in such a beautiful part of the country. Stunning views of the Umtamvuna river. Our hosts were so welcoming and we will definitely be back.

Can't fault anything.

The Cabanas is a lovely break away with all the comforts of home. Bigger than expected. The road is absolutely fine and even any small car could quite easily travel on it. Spotlessly clean with everything you need. Louis is a professional and helpful host. Thank you. We will return.

The place was clean. The host showed around the place. There was an extra duvet. There was a comfortable fleece blanket to cuddle on the sofa. Good cutlery and crockery. There was a spacious patio overlooking umtavuna Bridge. There were scented candles 🕯 ✨️

The accommodation is stunning! The property manager is very friendly and always keeps in contact if required. He knows the area well and can recommend things to do there as well.

The Wi-Fi is quite slow, likely due to the remote location of the property.

It a beautiful place , views are spectacular , owner friendly , we loved the biscuits . They offer soap, lotion and shampoo, really thoughtful . Perfect short left for friends and couples .

load shedding , bring rechargeable light , powerbank and whatever you will need during load shedding . Not their fault obviously . No trails .

Very spacious, super clean, excellent facilities, very comfortable beds, amazing views, great for families. Everything provided in the rooms, just bring your clothes.

There was nothing we didn't like about the property itself, but the road going there is gravel for like 400m, you may have to slow down with very low vehicles.
