Lovely family run boutique hotel. Modern comfortable rooms and lovely pool area. Staff friendly and go out of their way to make your stay a good one. 10 minute stroll to beautiful resort of Torri del Benaco. This was our second visit and we will be back again.

A minor point but bed was very high.....but very comfortable.

The hotel itself is very modern and high-tech. The rooms are cozy and beautiful. The reception staff is very pleasant, and the waiters were also very friendly.

However, the fact that the jacuzzi was not working for two days of our stay was very disappointing. We chose this hotel specifically because of the jacuzzi.

It was modern, clean in a good location and had a nice pool. The room we chose had a good view of the lake. The room was air conditioned.

It was very expensive, we paid over €400 per night and this didn’t include breakfast or even a complimentary bottle of water in the room. When booking we hadn’t noticed breakfast was not included but without asking we were promptly told when checking in that it wasn’t. Breakfast if you wish to purchase is €20 each. After a bit of flustering and an icy reception we were shown to our room and told it was only just the start of her shift. We were shown how the room key worked in the lift and taken to our room. When we got in our room we weren’t shown how everything else worked. The room was equipped with lots of cupboard space, much more than required a mini bar and a kettle. There was a bathtub in the room which in theory would create a beautiful setting for a long soak. Unfortunately however when you put any weight on the bottom of the bathtub it empties the bath, so a nice long soak admiring the view wasn’t possible. We felt the room was equipped with lots of impractical gémis and would have been more advantageous if it were to have included more practical facilities, like a coffee machine or facilities to make a light breakfast if desired, there was plenty of space. The other thing we found very annoying about the room was a motion light that we weren’t aware of. It only seemed to work late at night and basically every time you moved in your sleep a light would come on and wake us both up. We weren’t told about this or how to stop it and forgot to ask the following day so had two disturbed night because of it. The hotel is also situated right by quite a busy road which we also weren’t aware of when booking. This hotel was booked as a special surprise end to our holiday. We had stayed at a few other hotels around the lake during our stay in Italy and had had exceptional service and at half the price very good value for money in comparison. We were expecting a lot more than we got from Hotel Al Caminetto and felt very disappointed.
