The property was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed! The location was great too, a short distance from the Otaru canal and Sakaimachidori.

The property was small for a group of 8, there wasn’t much room to move around, and we wished there were more toilets and bathrooms. We found that it was common for an apartment to have only one toilet and bathroom in Japan though, so it was not unique to this particular property. The property is above a ramen shop, you can smell the ramen broth when the shop is open. Not a dealbreaker for us, just something you may want to consider.

The place is very spacious and clean. Can accommodate up to 6 grown adults. Location is near everything and within walking distance of the Otaru Train Station. The bedding and blankets provided kept you very warm. Also has a small kitchen to prepare light snacks or reheat meals.

People complain about the narrow stairs but its not as bad if you use small size luggage.

The room is on the 2nd floor, the entire floor of the ramen shop. But there is no disturbing smell. Not far to walk to Otaru canal and other tourist attractions.

No lift and only 1 air conditioner on living room so used the electric fan to flow the air to 3 bedrooms. The bedroom with bunk beds unable to sleep. it's uncomfortable. Pay for 1000 yen to parking.

It was a nice cozy apartment, well-heated with plenty of facilities like washing machine, utensils, towels, etc. The hosts, based in the excellent ramen restaurant below, were also super nice.

Was located a distance away from the main shopping street, was a slippery and freezing walk in winter.

Clean. Spacious. There is a washing machine with drying area. There was a parking space for our car. Good location. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They run a ramen shop downstairs. Delicious ramen.

Steep narrow stairs. One of our friends is quite tall so she had trouble getting out of the double-decker bed which is located in an odd position.

Host was very nice. Property which was on second floor was big and cozy enough to fit 7 of us. (4 adults 3 children) On the ground level was a ramen shop owned by the host, he would even deliver orders to the property. Parking was convenient as there is a carpark outside the property.

Only con was that the staircase was quite small, so it was hard to move luggages up to the property.

Friendly owner, after our lunch we informed we are their guests checking in, without any hesitation he brought us up and welcome us.. friendly host and place is sufficient for 5 of us on level 3. Thank you

Advice: not to carry big luggage with you.

Ideal location, close to most of the must visit spot. Room is spacious and clean.

The stairs. Room is on third floor and there is no elevator. The stairs are narrow.

The owner design the place by themselves. The kitchen looks very nice. Heater is working fine for winter. We can order ramen from the owner and they will serve it to the room.

Great location, cosy place, good kitchen.

One toilet only, hence my whole family took turns to shower/wash up.
