It was great in terms of location as Otaru Canal is right in-front of you. But you got to work around 15 minutes to the Music Box streets which is still acceptable. Car park there is really good as it’s park under hotel property. They do provide us helpful information of how to take ski bus to Kiroro Peak Club Med too.

But in terms of amenities such as not provide bath boom for free is such a shame in this price range. Breakfast should be included as well with the price range too.

It's a lovely old hotel in a great location. We walked with our suitcases from the train station which was downhill, a little tricky in the snow, but manageable, about 15-20 minute walk. We chose to book a taxi back to the station because it was uphill - about $8 AUD, so worth it! The room was large, but everything is a bit tired. Great view out over the canal, and also great view at breakfast. Will loved Otaru, but very touristy!

Unfortunately, the smoking room is close to the foyer, so the whole foyer area and some parts of the hotel smelled of cigarette smoke. I found this extremely unpleasant and would highly recommend banning smoking!

Super strategic, the canal really in front of our window room. 10-15 minutes to the busy touristic area. Personally i really like the bathroom, it was super satisfying. They even provide us with little chair and big plastic bowl. After we leave the bathroom we feel very “clean” , they also provide us with some hair spa treatment and it smells sooo good. They also provide parking area for us. Very recommended if you want to explore area in Otaru. Otaru aquarium it was also incredible, and really surprisingly beautiful.

Otaru canal is just in front of the hotel, very easy to access. Walking distance to shopping area and JR station. Hotel parking is multi storey automatic mechanical car park, very amazing!

If want to drive the car, need the in-charge staff to call out the car, take some time. Room quite small for 4 person, and come with centralized air conditioning system, cannot manually adjust the temperature. Coins Washing Machine only 2, always occupied.

We had a side view to the Bay Area but if you have a direct river view, that would be fantastic Location - Abit of a walk from the JR Otaru station but not the worst, we could manage, but then that’s the only slight down side. Upside is it’s across the river front

Nothing much to dislike

Breakfast was good with good choices. The triple bedroom is a bit small with not much space to open our luggage. The location is good for touring the town and is just beside the tourist canal and the shopping street.

The location of the hotel is a bit far from from the train station although in good weather it would be a nice walk. However we were there in end January and there was snow everywhere. Some parts were icy and slippery and dangerous for oldies like us to move around. We had to taxis for such trips.

The hotel is pretty close to the Otaru cannel and other historic sites. The standard twin room is spacious and big enough for us to unpack our luggages. It has an independent wash basin area which is separate from the bathroom, which is a wonderful spot. The staff is friendly and helpful. The front desk manager even made a phone call for me to reserve for a sea urchin meal by the sea!

The beds are a bit too soft to me.

We came as a family of four to enjoy the light festival. The view from the seaside room was absolutely stunning. The hotel suggested viewing the morning sunrise from the penthouse bar and restaurant but we were able to see the sunrise from our room. Simply magnificent and not to be missed! The hotel also gave each of us free tickets to a bowl of clam soup at the matsuri (festival) at one end of the light festival where atmospheric music reverbed to the flickering lights of a disused building that harkened us back to the times of Otaru as an old trading port.

This is an old hotel and some of the decor, such as the maroon-color bath, felt a bit dated. Still, I enjoyed a deep bath in a well-kept bathroom. Sublime, in a snow blizzard!

The property is next to the Hakodate Station. Very convenient for transit and also situated right in front of Hakodate Bukkake Seafood Restaurant and the fish market. Lots of eateries in the evening too!

It is clean, and service is excellent. It has a Onsen and a lounge with good view for relaxation before we head for any long trip or relax after a long transit.
