Restaurant Is a 5 star place. Hotel 3, so it makes it 4..;) Restaurant has excellent location and service and food!!! Hotel has small beautiful rooms but extremely uncomfortable beds. Cover on the bed is made of very wired fabric that made me question it cleanliness. Everything else was excellent.

Breakfast was not included We were asked to pay 75 Zloty for breakfast. We are not buffets people We go once to the buffet that’s all. It should be a menu 1. 2..3 a la card to pick from and not exceed 50zl. We went across the river and had excellent breakfast for 3 for 155 Zloty in Palac Widokowy. As far as I am concerned hotel lost 150zloty that day by not providing to people who don’t eat buffets for 75zl. We don’t pay for breakfast more than 15$ in USA ever.

The location is great. Breakfast was delicious with many options.

I wish I had understood the different between a regular room and the deluxe, I would have paid the difference to be in the new part of the building. I think booking directly with the hotel vs via Booking.com might have helped, but I think it should be more clear on sites like that, Travelocity and Expedia. Dinner menu was not as diverse as when we were there years prior. The friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff varied.

I stayed two nights in the Hotel 1231 and enjoyed every moment of it. Rooms are cosy & modern with nice furniture. Bed is very comfortable. The environment is quiet for good sleeps. The breakfast is perhaps one of the best I have experienced (I'm travelling a lot). All the food served were selected with good taste, good quality & service, and the atmospeare in the restaurant is very pleasent. As an icing on the top of the cake, the hotel organised me a quiet place to work before my departure and offered me cake. I'm planning to return and warmly recommend the hotel for business and leisure travellers,

Our room was spacious, cosy and comfortable; it boasted everything we needed. The bathroom was good and very clean. Breakfast was absolutely great - the best we have had during this holiday (we travelled around for some weeks). We also made use of the restaurant downstairs, and the food was superb. The location of the hotel is good: easy walking distance to the town centre. The parking place is nearby and watched by an attendant.

I can't fault this hotel on anything they did for us. The only downside was the view from our room, looking down on a sport field - view from the other side would have been better. (I suspect this is nitpicking).

lots of character but everything you need. staff very helpful. the main thing that made our stay was the food - it was superb - the breakfast was plentiful with everything you could choose from cereals, cooked food, cold cuts and even cakes. my favourite was the honey straight from a honeycomb. then the evening meals were so nice we stayed in most evenings to have different things on the menu.

Perfect location for sightseeing. Our room was located in the new wing, skilfully blended with the old, historic building. Great restaurant with sophisticated, modern cuisine offered by an Argentinian chef. Definitely a highlight. Very good breakfast catering for both European and English tastes. Modern, minimalistic finishes (new wing). Enormous bathroom. Underground corridor linking old and new wing.

Room was on the small size, especially comparing with bathroom, no tissues provided.

Great location beside the city walls, river Vistula and former castle of the Teutonic Knights . Really interesting historic building with underground passages dating from 13th century which lead to the bar and restaurant. Great breakfast buffet, and very nice bar. Staff helped to get a taxi to pick us up from the station, and were very friendly and accommodating. The location for exploring the medieval city of Torun could not be bettered.

Single beds were not very wide.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was always very clean and tidy, with great facilities (sauna and fitness room). As a vegetarian it was good to see a wide range of options for breakfast.

Bit awkward to find my room the first time as it was in the new building.

Very good location, just on the edge of old town, next to the castle walls. Whole building is quite impressive, rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was a treat, we didn't need any lunch after such a feast. And overall, staff was friendly & responsive.

Our first assigned room was more like 2-star, with a bed cramped under a low, sloping ceiling and available only from one side. Second person would have to jump over the lucky first in order to go to the toilet at night, risking injury. Not for people with mobility issues. We were given replacement room, but honestly, this should be no-brainer. Secondly, hotel has no parking in front of the reception, their option is to move 100m down the cobbled street. Not a problem for me, I'm physically fit, but are all the guests ready for it, with suitcases & all?

The reception staff was very friendly. The parking situation was relatively easy. The breakfast is one of the best I’ve seen. All in all, a very nice place.

My room was in the older part of the hotel and the bed and pillows were not very comfortable. The kids playing in the field in the back made a lot of noise and the music was pretty bad. At night, they stopped playing and it was quiet. That said, the room was nice and big and the air-conditioning worked perfectly.
