The pool was lovely however at times not enough lounge chairs. Fabulous breakfast, beautiful rooms and a great location.

The construction noise from the adjacent property and the constant hammering/renovation within the hotel. Had I have been told prior I wouldn’t have stayed at the hotel. I think it’s a bit cheeky to not disclose that given the amount per night that is charged. The noise started from 830am and didn’t stop until 5pm. There was no option of an afternoon nap being a holiday treat. Overall noisy. I stayed on the 3rd floor and in the morning in preparation for breakfast time you can hear the scraping of the chairs …. Tables being moved at 630am. It was too much for me.

Excellent location being close to centre of Ubud. The hotel felt very boutique with little touches making it really lovely and a sheer oasis in the middle of busy Ubud!. We had the 1 bedroom villa which was very spacious and amazing private pool and garden area. The staff were excellent and looked after us very well. The main infinity pools are amazing with views across the jungle. The food is also excellent and Chef was very kind catering for my nut allergy with care and consideration.

We had a small issue with ants as the doors in the villa do not close fully (sealed) but the staff came in with some spray to stop the issue as soon as we raised it.

Big rooms if you can get high up floor has wonderful jungle views Good lotion and shampoo. - smelled great. Comfy bed. Fridge in room. Big tub adorned in fragrant roses to welcome us. Good vibe. Colonial meets Asia in tea room with views. Complimentary Yoga some mornings Increase masseuse by Sastra at the massage. The best I have had on the trip Complimentary 10 min foot or head shoulder massage as part of our booking was sooo good and generous on time. We had a bauble on my breakfast egg (allergy and am vegan) instead of tofu scramble but they fixed it pretty quickly and handled it with such professionalism and generosity. The only reason it is not a 9 is because of the lack of plant based food options

Please have more plant based food options. It is so easy. Like tempeh skewers, fresh rolls with marinated tofu with glass noodles and veggies, tofu curry or stir fry. Food offerings were too European Loved sitting outside on our covered deck listening to rain and birds.

Amazing pool, great location in Ubud, with everything walking distance and very friendly and attentitive staff. Very large rooms with balcony

If anything, the prices of the restaurant/bar are a bit expensive, which does not encourage to eat in. On the lower floors, the view of the suites is hindered by a black construction fabric.

Loved everything about our stay at Goya Boutique Resort! The staff were so lovely, the rooms are large and well appointed and the pool/pool area has amazing views. Breakfast each morning was excellent and there was a large selection to choose from. As we were on our honeymoon, the Goya staff also arranged a cake and some cute decorations in our room. The shuttle service into the main street was also helpful but you can also easily walk there. As this was our first stop in Bali we had arranged an airport pick up through Goya, the driver was friendly, the car extremely clean and the sign with our name on it was clear and easy to spot in a sea of drivers with signs at airport arrivals. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in the Deluxe Suite and it was a fabulous room with balcony. The room had a big bathroom with bathtub and spacious rain shower. The details in all areas of the room/bathroom with the provided amenities were wonderful. The design and of the room and tasteful interior was lovely and we felt immediately at home. Plenty of space to put your things. We loved the very comfortable and huge bed. The smart TV was a nice distraction to help relax in the room. The breakfast was ala' carte which we definitely preferred to a buffet style arrangement. The breakfast selection was great and I am sure for everybody to find something on the menu with more than decent portions. This is a 'small' boutique hotel, however the arrangement made it feel very cozy with enough space. The arrangement of the entrance (lovely) and the different buildings with the green vegetation was well thought through and displayed a very welcoming, collected slightly tropical feeling. The infinity pool and bar area was very nice, again not to small and not to big - just right for our taste. The massage offer inside the hotel was first class and worth trying. The friendliness, professionalism and just outstanding accommodating of every single request from our side was unbelievable. A kind of Balinese kindness and distinctness in organizing our needs for sightseeing, transport, direction giving, housekeeping, cuisine, or just asking for the right way, which we haven't seen often. Just as an example: we were at the monkey forest and luckily at the end of our tour it started pouring down rain. We called the hotel to pick us up, which they immediately confirmed. Due to unknown reasons the car and us missed each other. Not a big issue for us.

There is nothing we did not like. We entirely enjoyed our stay of 6/7 nights from start to end.

Exceptional intricate attention to details and tasteful interior design that blends with the nature. Professional staffs (to hotel management, please keep all of them and pay them good salary, they deserve it and they are one of the reasons that make our experience here memorable and will return). I cannot write more, I really want to keep this hidden gems private😆

Nothing. Just a small tiny suggestion which I learn from another resort - they display small signages requesting guests to speak softly in the property to keep the privacy and tranquility optimum. Some guests at the villa may speak a little louder when they are with friends and can be overheard from another villa. This is not common though, as the guests here are mostly highly behaved and respectful. But the signage and little reminder like this can elevate this property to another level (now is already 5 star for me - the attention to details and classy designer taste could easily exceed many 5 star resorts).

We had the most incredible 17-day stay at Goya Resort this August with our family, and we can't wait to return! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a stunning view that set the perfect tone for our vacation. The accommodations were spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, providing us with all the comforts of home. The resort's amenities were top-notch, with a fantastic pool area that our kids loved and easy access to the beach, making it perfect for family fun in the sun. The dining options were exceptional, offering a variety of delicious cuisines that catered to every taste. We especially enjoyed the themed nights, which added a special touch to our evenings. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable, always with a smile and ready to assist with any requests. Their genuine care really made us feel like valued guests. The resort's location was ideal for both relaxation and adventure, with plenty of activities nearby for the whole family. Whether we were exploring local attractions or simply lounging by the pool, every moment was filled with joy. Overall, our experience at Goya Resort was nothing short of magical. It was the perfect getaway for our family, and we are already looking forward to making more wonderful memories there in the future! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic family vacation!

The room with the private pool was AMAZING! Beautiful landscaping, very clean, excellent service. The private pool was truly private, and you could literally step into it right from your bedroom or bathroom! Food at restaurant was fine. We ate there most evenings just so we didn't have to spend time driving somewhere. Ubud is quite busy.

There was some sort of club right next to the hotel which played some kind of game show or competition one night, and the music and microphone were EXTREMELY loud and disturbing! Beware of booking on a weekend. You may have to deal with that noisy club.

Loved our stay at Goya Boutique Resort. The staff were amazing and couldn’t have asked for better. The breakfast was amazing and could choose a hot drink, cold drink, sweet breakfast and savoury breakfast from the menu every morning. We ate dinner twice during our stay also which was delicious. Received free afternoon tea during out stay and also had an amazing massage in the spa. It was raining a lot during our stay so we didn’t get much use out of our villa pool or the hotel pool.

The location was about 15 minutes walk from Ubud Palace although the hotel does provide a lift there (we tried to book one night but it was a 25 minute wait so we didn’t bother). The road itself has no footpath and very uneven. Not the hotel’s fault but worth noting if coming with a baby.
