It had a great breakfast and a pool. It was comfortable and clean.

It was an about a 35 minute walk to Alvor beach.

Spacious, clean and well equipped studio apartment located a short walk from the town centre and beach. Friendly staff, good breakfast buffet (although no variation), well kept gardens to the rear of the property. Quiet but could be too quiet for some (currently a gin promotion happy hour with a DJ once a week is the only activity).

Bed very uncomfortable (very firm), daily charge to use safe in room, wifi pretty useless throughout the property, not enough parasols by the pool. Lobby area needs an uplift, very sad looking palm trees, reception area looking very dated.

The hotel and facilities are nice, tidy and in good condition. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms and kitchen equipped with all necessary items and also spacious. Balcony or terrace is more than suitable for enjoying them. We had an technical issue in our room which was immediately taken care by the lady at the reception in a very professional way. As the issue wasn't easy to repair we received another room immediately to solve the issue for us - thanks again for the quick support to the staff.

Due to a change in the flight schedule we had an early checkout and asked for an early breakfast two days prior to our departure. The agent at the reception was offering a lunchbox/lunchpack which we happily ordered for the day of our departure. Sadly when we checked out we were informed there was nothing prepared for us, so we needed to leave without the offered lunchpack. As we were counting on the lunchpack it was a rather rough start in the day and throughout tge whole day.

Lovely location and very beautiful hotel. Rooms are spacious, we were lucky enough to have a corner room and a large balcony that got the sun for most of the day. The cleaners came each day and were great. The pool is big and spacious and there is usually more than enough beds if you want them. There's a pool table and a snack bar which is reasonable and a large car park at the front if you're driving. It's located just on the edge of Alvor, and the walk to the town is about 10 minutes. The beach is a bit further away walking, takes about 30 minutes but it's a pleasant enough walk if you try and miss the heat of the day. All in all, a very lovely place to stay.

The only downside for me were the limited cooking equipment. The fan on the hob didn't work and I think a few more glasses and plates, pots and pans might be good too. But that said, I understand that a lot of people go away and don't want to cook, so maybe I'm just being a bit fussy. When we did ask reception for an extra pan, they were really helpful and went out and bought one for us, so I can't fault that at all. It's only a minor thing, but that's really the only negative I can think of overall.

As always, everytime we stay at Pelican Alvor the customer service is exceptional. The hotel is our number one choice in Alvor. The hotel is presented to a high standard. The room is generous in space, the balcony is spacious, the staff are very accommodating, the hotel is perfect location to allow a short walk to main village where you then have access to shops, harbour, beach - all within a pleasant walking distance from hotel - the walk is actually something we enjoy rather than having everything completely on doorstep. For our recent stay - the staff accommodated us with our preference in room on first floor with lovely view and an early check in. Although these things cannot be guaranteed, it got our trip off to a fantastic start that the staff at Pelican Alvor were so considerate and accommodating of us. Check in and check out process is very smooth. We will be back for another stay in 2025.

Absolutely everything we have been to the pelican many times over the years nd will continue to for many more A huge plus for the hotel is their wonderful staff from bar staff waiters cleaners gardeners they are all so friendly nd helpful especially Jules nd Kate on reception nd Vitor nd Francesco in the bar there couldn't do enough for us thank you all

There used to be a poolside bar drinks snacks etc which was missed as you had to go into hotel for refreshments not a huge problem but your hotel is missing an opportunity of business

Staff was friendly, entire facility was modern for the price point you paying, the views were great from the balcony, rooms well appointed and clean and very spacious. Thank You

The mattress was hard and I'm not use to that.

A wonderful hotel which is a 10-15 minute walk away from the center of Alvor. We stayed in a very comfortable and spacious 2 bed apartment with self catering facilities and a lovely top floor terrace. The pool was very clean and the sunbeds were new so very comfortable. The staff, particularly Kate and Luri are fantastic ambassadors for the hotel, nothing was too much trouble and Beatrice at the bar, was also wonderful. Thank you all.

We stayed in mid September but the hotel restaurant shut at 6pm and the bar shut at 9pm and ran out of beer! The pool side bar was closed throughout our stay.

First time staying at Pelican Alvor. Lovely quiet Hotel,within a 15 walk to Alvor. Room was like a large modern Apartment with all the mod cons. Breakfast was very tasty with a variety of hot food and delicious pastries.Pool area is so tranquil and restful that we actually spent a lot of time at it,something we rarely do on holidays. Extremely good value for our weeks stay. All the staff very friendly especially at check in desk who were very accomodating on our early arrival.Will definitely return next year.

Nothing to dislike, but maybe the bar could stay open an extra hour or two to enjoy a nightcap after dinner!!.

ideal location with very pleasant 15 min walk to village square. staff very accommodating. stayed several times and always enjoy. on this occasion initially allocated room at end of first floor with pool side view however balcony was directly aligned with roof of terrace that leads down to pool. obstructed view compared with other pool side view rooms we’ve had in the past. we asked if there were any other rooms available further along on same floor or any other floor where this wouldn’t be an issue (if possible, we would have made do if necessary as room itself was fine). staff accommodated this without hesitation and we were very happy with alternate room and the view was beautiful. the reason I mention this is to demonstrate the high level of customer service from the staff. really impressed by how accommodating they were.
