I was a little concerned with some of the negative reviews about this place so my expectations were low. However after our stay I can’t recommend Batman’s Hill on Collins highly enough! We booked a 2-bedroom apartment for New Year’s Eve, and it was absolutely perfect. The apartment was spacious, with plenty of room for our family with young kids to relax and enjoy the evening before the fireworks. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the modern amenities made our stay feel like a home away from home. The large living area was also a nice surprise. One of the highlights of our stay was the dining experience at the hotel restaurant. The food was excellent and priced fairly. I had the steak which was cooked a perfect medium and melted in my mouth and the rest of the food was great too. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, and the staff were attentive without being overbearing, making it a truly enjoyable experience. Overall, Batman’s Hill on Collins exceeded all expectations, offering comfort, a great location and an exceptional dining experience in the heart of Melbourne. I can’t wait to stay again!

We have stayed a few times because we find it is the one of the only hotels in the CBD that caters for a family of 5. However, this was our best stay yet as are room was larger and in a quieter part of the hotel, we also got a fantastic breakfast included and we were offered a late check out.

Our check in staff were a lot friendlier than our check out staff, we had been offered the later checkout but at 11am they rang our room saying we were late, we had to explain several times and left not sure if we were believed and staff complained in front of us to each other. Ultimately it wasn’t our fault no notes had been left. Up until then we had been so happy with our stay.

I always stay here because of the prime location, friendly & accomodating staff. Top customer service. The staff acknowledge previous booking history & loyalty! So much that for several years in a row I would stay with Batman's for my birthday and they asked if my current stay with them was for my birthday (which I missed earlier in the year) to which I said not for this occasion but seeing as how I did miss my birthday stay earlier in the year.... hehe The staff were still kind enough to give me a complimentary drink from the bar down stairs and once I had checked into my room, a knock on the door delivered a delicious little cake. They go above & beyond to make you feel welcome, and this is why I will always choose to stay here. I had kindly requested for the premiere room with the bath and whilst they can't guarantee requests on the day, they still made it happen. ♥️ I know I am safe here. I believe they have also upgraded some of the Premiere Rooms as I was pleasantly surprised to find a new mini balcony add on! 😍

Nothing at all, however be mindful of the Premiere Room doors, they are very solid and if you let go of it, it will slam shut. I was mindful of other guest to hold the door, so it didn't slam shut loudly.

Excellent location, close to public transport trams etc. Quick walk from Southern Cross Station - ideally suited for those travelling from interstate eg Overland. Great surrounding food area. Near to many shops including factory outlets. Short walk to Southbank & Casino in fact the more we looked around the general area the more we discovered. Wow - what a treat.

Could not fault the hotel for its location and room facilities (eg very comfortable beds). We had too big a choice/variation of local food shops to obviate the need to dine at the hotel.

We arrived early after our train from Sydney, and my wife and I needed to have our suitcases looked after while we looked around Melbourne. They advised us no problems and also said that the room was ready. Wow, this was hours before the official check-in time. They also advised us that we had been upgraded to a premium room. What a surprise the room had a great city view, overlooking Southern Cross and the busy Collins Street activities with trams and the hectic going on's of people rushing to work. Nothing, everything was great.

Location was great, it's only opposite the train station and only a couple hundred metres from the free tram stops. The check in was easy to deal with and staff were excellent. My room was clean and had a working TV and A/C and the beds and pillows were pretty comfortable compared to most hotels I've stayed at in the past.

Room was a little bit small, also no view. (No view doesn't really bother me) The bed wheels slide very easily on the floor which was a little bit annoying Bar was not operating during lunch time so was a little bit of a let down.

The location is really good - on the Southern Cross side of the city but within a very short stroll of the train station, and a convenient walk and/or tram trip to more desirable areas of the city (or $12 or less Uber). Staff were good, room was clean and comfortable, and we were able to store baggage both pre and post checkin/out. The actual building is nice as is the foyer.

The rooms while well appointed and clean, are very small. For a short stay where little time is spent in the room is fine but if you did want to spend time in the room it might not be ideal. There were more expensive room options so these may be bigger.

The hotel is ideally located for visitors coming from the airport. An easy walk from the Skybus and Southern Cross Station, and located on multiple tram routes through the city. The room had been recently renovated and had a good sized bathroom, comfortable sized room and even a little balcony and chairs looking out over Spencer Street. The staff were helpful and friendly. I have stayed her many times and this was definitely one of the best ones. The main lift took us straight up to our room, so no wandering from lift and corridor looking for the right place. Despite looking out over Spencer street, the room was relatively quiet, even with drilling taking place at 1am right outside!

There was only one rubbish bin located in the bathroom. Whilst not a major issue, it would have been handy to have another one in the main room. The beds did move around a lot, so it would have been handy to have beds with brakes on them to reduce this.

We were so pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The value for money well exceeded our expectations and the in-room amenities were great! The rooms were clean and modern, and the hotel is well connected to public transport. It's also a short walk to nice bars and restaurants on the other side of the Yarra River.

The things that we didn't like about our stay were things that we overlooked and nothing to do with the hotel itself – not realising that there was parking and breakfast available on site! Whoops.

The staff were really good at the hotel! Accomodating for our anniversary and the attendant who checked us in was super kind! The property has staff around all the time so help is nearby! Good proximity to trams and nearby attractions.

Personally the beds for me were a bit too soft! I felt as if I was rolling to the left all night and woke up with a sore back, however my partner loved the soft bed! If you don’t like city noise or love a super dark room, probably not the best option for you as the rooms get light very easy and city lights lights shine through.
