Location is great for travellers via the KIX Airport. Just a few minutes walk from the JR Station and Terminal 1 of KIX Airport. Room is superb, clean and comfortable. Took the business room and the hotel even provided newspaper in the morning. The room even has a powder room for the lady, and a coffee machine in the room free to us. The minibar is also free! We checked in after midnight and the staffs are readily available to service us. Great management and ground team.

Breakfast last entry is at 9am. Could be slightly later (10am). Not much of a view from the rooms too, but not something of concern actually. No shopping malls around, had to travel out

Unfortunately we had a 12 hour layover at the airport and we were much too tired, having travelled from Australia, to sit in chairs for 12 hours. We decided to splurge on a hotel room for that time. While the hotel price was high for us (on a fixed income), we booked the last room (according to Booking.com) and were amazed with the suite we stayed in. Everything we could think of was provided and we had a very comfortable sleep for a few hours. We even had a wakeup call (many hotels don't provide this anymore - they just have us set our clocks or room phones). Our experience was exceptional!

Having to leave the wonderful room. Because we had a 5 a.m. check in for our flight, we weren't able to enjoy breakfast or sleep longer.

The staff went above and beyond to help me and my mother (who has mobility issues). While they couldn’t get us into the assessable room (as it was already booked out), they made sure we were as close to the elevators as possible to limit how far my mum had to walk. In the morning my mother was catching a flight home and a member of staff helped us with getting our luggage to the check-in counter for her flight, which was greatly appreciated. We also had a delicious lunch at the buffet on level 2, and the convenience store in the building was also very handy.

Location is great and very convenient. Close to the terminal and also to the train station. Room was comfortable and I especially appreciated the little amenities like facial lotion, moisturiser, cleansing gel and toothbrush and toothpaste. The little body towel was wonderful. (I took it with me.) Bed was very comfortable.

I wish the restaurants stayed open longer. We arrived at 8:00pm and they were already closing. And it would be nice to have a bit more tea and coffee in the room. I definitely would prefer milk rather than the powdered milk that is provided. The coffee was very good. I would have liked to have another cup, but there wasn't anymore.

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of our trip and decided to stay here the night before boarding our plane to return home. We booked a large business class room to give us space to pack or repack our souvenirs. The staff was very helpful with boxes, tape and scissors. This stay was just as pleasant as the night we spent here when we arrived. We were very pleased with everything. The location was perfect as was the room. We were able to rest well before a long flight home. The items in the room refrigerator were very good and refreshing. Everything was comfortable and clean. The hotel breakfast was excellent! We love the many choices the buffet offered. The hotel has some dining options, but we also discovered Tasty Street, just a 2 or 3 minute walk from the hotel in the airport, where we ate dinner the night before we left. On the day of our departure, the staff kindly kept our luggage for us while we made a last trip into Kyoto. This hotel is a wonderful place to stay before you leave for home - a great way to end a trip!

Hotel Nikko is situated right next to the JR station and the Kansai airport. Hence is at a walking distance from the airport and the train station. I was with my wife and our 11 month old baby. We had a flight to catch early morning from Kansai. We were at Kyoto the day before and used the Haruka train to reach the area and check in to the hotel. We unexpectedly got a large room with ample bed space and a lot of floor area. The room offered a great view of the JR station and airport building. The room was clean. The bathroom shower had a variety of settings even for Japanese standards. Hotel Nikko Kansai Aiport is a reasonable choice for visitors to Japan who would like to rest and not worry about the commute and luggage delivery complications just before or soon after a long tiring flight travel. Kansai airport's JR train (Hakura) and limousine bus are the 2 affordable ways for a foreigner to commute from the airport. There are also a couple of different luggage service options in the airport-station buildings. But if one is overwhelmed by these choices on the first day of arrival, better to go for a Hotel Nikko stay rather than choose the cab.

The restaurants at the hotel building were closed on during the time we stayed (mostly night). Perhaps one coffee place was open. We had to make do with the Lawson convenience store.

This hotel is a great place to stay if you have an extremely early flight at KIX, since it is difficult to get an early train and find close enough accommodation in most circumstances to make early flights at KIX. KIX is only a couple-minute short walk from the hotel. The beds were really fluffy and comfy, which we appreciated since we stayed at local guesthouses/hostels where many had thin mattresses, so our backs appreciated it! Everything was quiet, and really was what we would expect with a hotel that was same level as the Hilton and very nice.

The extractor fan was really weak in the bathroom, so if you take a bath/shower with a lot of steam, it does take a long time to air out the bathroom. At first I didn't think there was an extractor fan because I couldn't hear it, didn't see a switch, and the steam wasn't being dispersed quickly. After a chat with the front desk, it does exist and is automatic, but is just weak, so something to be aware of.

Perfect location attached to airport! Can’t beat the location. Great for early morning flight. Cost no more than medium priced hotel in Kyoto. Felt luxurious. Highly recommend all you can eat buffet lunch at hotels French restaurant. Food was exquisite and I only selected half the offerings since I don’t eat meat. At first I was disappointed because they pictured sushi but there wasn’t any. However the choices were absolutely delicious and presented too beautiful to eat. A very affordable expense my last day treat and can’t wait to come back again! Also noticed the First Cabin feature ideal for hikers and students and others on a budget!

Location, location & location. A few minute walk to the terminals. This helped me tremendously as I got the airport late at night. Next morning, had a nice breakfast and got right on Haruka train just across from this hotel. So convenient. My stay had breakfast included. The buffet was exceptional. So many choices and delicious. Gave me good energy to keep traveling! Staff were all nice too. The hotel is on bit of an old side, but super clean and comfortable. Amenities were great too. I'd defiantly stay there again and again!

Location. Location, Location and five star luxuary. WAS a three minute’s stroll to check in. I suspect the first class check in is actually inside the hotel. Not in our price range. Even though it is so close you can’t hear aircraft noise. We didn’t use the hotel’s facilities. Got the Hokaido ( Hello Kitty ) express from Kyoto to Kansai airport,)l (50 minutes ) dropped our bags and headed back for the afternoon in Osaka. NB 1. you have to book a reserved seat on this train. 2. Trains back finish around 8-9!pm. Prebook your seat back to the airport. 3. The queues for security at Kansai were (for our 10 an flight) the longest I have ever seen- Anywhere!! You had to queue to get in the queue.

The relaxed hotel concierge who told us to leave the hotel 2 hours before our flight. Our relaxed airport breakfast was a hurried Starbucks coffee , while we watched our flight board. We got on last. The hotel staff were otherwise very helpful.
