Spacious room with everything we needed for a comfortable two night stay. Bed was large, air conditioning worked well. Double glazing kept out noise from the street. The Wi-Fi worked and the shower was good and hot. Good storage and a fridge that didn’t buzz. It was clean We were given a warm welcome which included excellent recommendations of places to visit in Palermo. Location was close to the colourful, thriving Ballaro Market.

Due to close proximity to the bustling market the street outside the property was full of traffic. You’d be very fortunate to find a parking space during market hours: 0800 -1600. After that parking became available and the street quietened down. We loved exploring this part of Palermo but it is a warrens of characterful alleyways and back-alleys. It was safe and friendly but on first impressions the neighbourhood does look a bit run-down. Make sure you have Google maps or similar because although it’s fun exploring it was easy to lose track of how far you’ve wandered.

The owner was friendly and willing to chat and give advice. The location of the apartment is good because it is close to the train and bus station. The apartment was very nice and very clean. The owner took care of the details when furnishing and renovating it. The breakfast was plentiful enough, and the owner also offered delicious tangerine jam, which he made himself. Even after you have to check out, you can store your luggage in the apartment if you have transport later.

We were not bothered by anything.

Lovely little oasis. Street parking outside. Modern facility with a nice communal kitchen/eating area and an outdoor patio. Our room had the original painted ceiling on it from 1900. Easy walk to old town. Host was a very good communicator on booking.com, was available to check us in and show us our way and places to see on the map he had available for guests. Very helpful and accommodating including giving us the code to get in if he wasn’t going to be available.

The breakfast was delicious. The coffee was lovely and was available all day. There is a mixture of sweet and savoury foods at breakfast. Delicious local pastries, biscuits, fruits and croissants and amazing sandwiches daily. The bed was very comfortable. The Air conditioning was great. The was a fridge in the room. The location was far enough out of the city centre that you are away from all of the madness and noise on the main strip, however within walking distance. The market is at the bottom of the road and various shops nearby. There is a pharmacy and a small convenience store right outside the property. The place was cleaned and tidied daily when we were out and this place was great value for money for what you actually pay. The neighbourhood appeared safe late at night when returning to the property with police constantly patrolling. The host was very friendly and welcoming and makes good recommendations. We would definitely return here.😀

Every thing was great but if I had to say some small things, the room could have a curtain to darken the room in the morning in the summer time and the shower gel is not the best.

I actually booked the room for my parents, and they enjoyed every moment here. On arrival, they had to do a self-check-in, new to them, but well explained, so it went smoothly. The location is minutes away from most top attractions in the city as well as from the central station (so easy to reach even when you come straight from the airport). Breakfast was basic, but enough for the first part of the day. And the host replied to all their queries and proved helpful with his advice.

The neighborhood can be a bit unnerving at night, but I guess that is just subjective.

Very nice room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Lovely continental breakfast on the balcony. The location is only a 5 minute walk from the train and bus station which is handy and a 15 minute walk to Quattro Canti in the historic centre of Palermo.

Unfortunately the streets around this very good B&B are very dirty with a lot of rubbish and dumpsters.

the property was very clean, and located very close to the historical centre of Palermo, and the central train station. The host was awesome, and made me feel very welcomed. He loves Palermo and was very happy to provide suggestions on where to go and what to see. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was good (typical Italian/Sicilian breakfast). The host makes exceptional marmalade so ask to try next time you’re there. It was so good I asked to buy a jar of it 👌🏼

It could get quite noisy at times, but that doesn’t really bother me like it potentially would someone else. mostly coming from the streets so it can’t be helped.

Charming city property with high ceilings. Modern bathroom and room with clean and modern decor. The property has the most peaceful and charming terrace which is nice for relaxing after a long day. We haven't used the shared kitchen, but it seemed like a good addition to this property for travellers who are staying for few more days. The bed was really big and comfy. We enjoyed the place and instructions for self-check in were clear and easy. Walkable distance to train station and markets were big plus for us.

it was all good

This little B&B - not too far from the train station and attractions - has been newly renovated yet kept the lovely old tile floors and vintage french doors. It is absolutely spotless. Due to a last minute change of destination my train arrived in Palermo 4 hours before checkin. I messaged the young man who runs Ai Quartieri and asked if I could drop my luggage off. He was waiting for me, found a spot for my stuff and offered me a coffee. The room wasn’t quite ready so he gave me a map and suggestions for walking around and the keys. While there is no lift there are only two short flights of stairs. The 4 rooms are off a central coffee/tea/kettle area with some light snacks so you can make yourself a hot beverage as you like. There is a fridge and water in the rooms. The bathroom has nice towels and lots of hot water. The double bed was comfortable and my room was a nice temperature. I didn’t close the doors against the street noises because I’m used to that in Italy and it’s always noisy outside. Part of the quirky charm here. Wifi was great! Don’t be put off by the streets of Palermo. I wasn’t afraid walking around alone. The breakfast is typically Italian/Continental and is served at a pre-agreed time on a little quiet terrace in the back. Alessio takes his responsibility as your host very seriously. He wants his guests to feel at home and I did. When I was leaving he wrapped a pastry up to take on the train and I was not rushed out the door. I enjoyed talking with him and would come stay again.

Not one complaint.

Alessio was lovely. Breakfast on the balcony with assorted delicious pastries and panini was definitely something to look forward to! Great coffee machine. Freshly squeezed juice. Large room. Very clean.

The French doors looking out on potted geraniums were nice but the street was a bit noisy if you opened the double glazed doors... to be expected in Palermo!
