December 2022

We had a spacious room with a fantastic view of the ferris wheel and X-mas trees by the river. The TV screen was big, the staff were also friendly, the breakfast was convenient, and check-out time of noon was generous. All in all, it was a good stay.

Housekeeping needed a lot of improvement. The bedstand after vacuuming was not returned to the bedside several times, which was rather shocking. The bathmat was missing one day, the towel had a black stain, garbage was not collected, and the plastic bag in the bin was not pushed down. The first day, the room had a strange odor too. The hotel gives you a parking discount but it was only Euro 1.50 per day (out of Euro 12:50), which isn't a big deal.

Excellent hotel in a great location in Tours, close to restaurants and nightlife. Hilton is a famous brand but this hotel especially earns its high reviews. Exceptionally clean big room and bathroom, comfortable beds and pillows, ample and varied breakfast, and the last but not least, great staff, always smiling and pleasant, giving us invaluable info for our stay! Our regards to Margot, Lucy and everyone else :) When in Tours, look no further than this hotel!

No parking :( We were lucky to find a spot in Prosper Merimee parking just behind the hotel, which was free from Saturday 6:30 PM to Monday morning :), so keep this in mind and plan your stay accordingly.

Great location, on the River Loire, next to parade off shops, department store, supermarket and a road full of restaurants and bars are nearby but not to close as too make the area noisy and uncomfortable.

When you enter the hotel, there is no separate reception or checkin area, as you walk straight into the dining area and have to check in at one end of the bar. Not well laid out at all, in comparison the Hilton Garden Inn next door has been designed and built with guests in mind. They have a full reception and lobby area, separate restaurant catering for breakfast in the morning. Whereas, here at a The Hampton, one minute you’re trying to enjoy your breakfast and the next there is a family with suitcases bumping past you trying to get to the end of the bar area to check-out. The ground floor area has all been lumped into one space, a hostel type layout..??

The location is an asset of the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The view to the Loire River and Wilson Bridge from room 601 is amazing.

Although the bathroom has a good size there is only one hook to hang the bath towels (we were a couple) if we want to be ecofriendly and use the same towel during our stay. The shampoo, conditioner and gel douche were too plain for the overall quality of the room and bathroom. The lounge is manifold: reception, bar and breakfast room so it got a bit confusing with people checking in/out, leaving the hotel while several guests were having breakfast. However, if you do not mind these drawbacks, the hotel is an excellent choice if you are based in Tours for the magnificent castles of the Loire Valley (do not miss Chambord, Azay-le-Rideau and Chenonceau)

Great rooms very clean and comfortable. Great location on the doorstep to all the historic sites, shops and the Boho old town full of quirky vintage shops both clothing and nic nacs. Breakfast was good although they often run out of dishes during breakfast and you have to wait until it refilled. Not enough breakfast space for everyone so competition for tables if you come down at the wrong time. Reception very good and lovely staff.

As a party of 3, myself, my husband and a family member staying for 3 nghts in 2 rooms I find it quite offensive that I have to leave a deposit of 200 euros that will be refunded in a couple of weeks or so for damages that may occur from my partying. I'm 70 years old the youngest of my party being 61. That must be some party we just wish we were enjoying the action.

Great location for shops, restaurants and Xmas attractions. Easily accessible from the motorway with underground parking close by. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with the usual choice of hot and cold food.

Our room was cold. Despite turning the thermostat up it didn't warm the room up. Also at breakfast there was no toaster, apparently it had broken but not replaced.

After a lengthy day of travel we were delighted to find the facilities at the Hampton by Hilton in Tours exceeded our expectations. Everything was lovely, the design, the beds and the team member behind the bar were amazing. If you are thinking about staying here we recommend that you do. A lot of thought has gone in to the design of the rooms, they were modern and funky with black out curtains, good air conditioning, a great bathroom with a hot shower and the acoustics were brilliant, couldn't hear any sounds from outside our room. Breakfast was lovely. Couldn't fault anything about it. Everything was perfect.

George on reception, location, comfy sizeable rooms. Great views from our rooms. Staff friendliness & helpfulness.

Breakfast & breakfast area a bit of a scrum at busy times. No mini fridge in room. Also, we had a real fire alarm one morning but staff appeared not to know what to do: e.g. no one ushered guests out of breakfast area - some guests descended from rooms in pyjamas or out of shower, whilst others carried on eating their croissants and going for more coffee. Speaking of coffee... the cappuccino from the machine was meh, but espresso ok.

Modern, comfortable, quiet room. Good staff. Generally the sort of quality you expect from a business hotel. It's right in the centre and five minutes from lots of restaurants, and the old part of town. The marché on Sunday was really great - French people socialising, eating oysters and ham from stalls

No way of unloading luggage from car at the door of the hotel. Room needed USB charging points, and more electric points generally.

Highly recommended. Best value for money hotel ever. Spacious rooms, a view of the river, all the usual facilities of a top hotel, and fabulous, friendly and efficient staff who focus on fulfilling the needs of guests (not telling guests the hotel rules which seem to be what many staff in many other hotels see their jobs as being). best location in Tours, on river close to restaurant area. I stay in up to 30 hotels in Europe and Australia every year and this is really an outstanding hotel experience. Great breakfast (included in price) too.

It was perfect. I wouldn't change a thing.
