The hotel didn’t have a reception but the staff were very good to contact by WhatsApp with any questions you need. The location is easy accessible from the airport by train/metro in about 20 mins, 5-10 min walk from metro station. Also about 15-20 min walk from centre and red light district but there is the option of a tram which the stop is about 2 mins from the hotel. Supermarket next door which is also handy if need anything.

Everything about the property was spot on apart from the only little thing I would say the double bed had 2 single duvets and would have preferred to have a double duvet 👍🏼

It was a hotel type experience but with a bit more personality. From the skinny spiral staircase, to the big shutter-style windows in our room with a view of the park in front… it was a very cool place to stay. Staff was friendly and helpful when interacted; even though there’s no reception, the staff was able to respond to our calls rather quickly. The bedroom and bathroom are small but they were clean with all the normal hotel amenities (soap, coffee/tea, fridge, lockbox, etc). The location is a quieter part of Amsterdam, so at night it’s easy to rest even with the windows open. There’s also a convenience store right next door so that’s nice.

Although the quiet location is a plus while you’re trying to rest, it is a bit of a walk from the center of Amsterdam or nightlife. Unless you rent a bike or take public transportation, the walk could be a bit long. There was a mini fridge, but it didn’t really get cold. The toilet was a bit loose, so it would move when you sat on it (and the small flush function didn’t work).

The room was small but very comfortable, check-in and checkout were super smooth, and the room was cleaned daily. We appreciated the kettle and the mini fridge, and there was also a coffee maker that we didn't use. There was also a safe for locking up passports. The location was excellent, close to the tram and subway station and within walking distance to the attractions in the area, and the grocery store next door was convenient . Communication with the host was excellent. We had a wonderful stay!

The stairs are narrow and steep and would be difficult to navigate with a large suitcase. The sink in the bathroom was extremely small and it was difficult to wash your face or wet your hair without getting water all over the bathroom floor.

These rooms are in a very small and tall, typical Amsterdam building! So the rooms are small (bathroom even smaller) and the stairs are practically vertical. However, we did not mind the climb up and the location of this hotel (which is more like rooms actually as there is no reception) is absolutely fabulous. We walked everywhere and enjoyed some great local restaurants which were right on the doorstep. The manager is very nice and easily contacted. Our room was cleaned beautifully everyday (that must be one fit cleaner!). We loved having tea and and coffee/coffee machine included and it was so handy to have a fridge for fresh milk.

The entrance area is very unwelcoming so it's a it's a bit of a shock when you arrive, and the stairwell is very dark. The lower room views out the back are not nice - the top of the extension looks like an abandoned building site. If one was staying for more than 3 nights, the lack of space to put anything away might be a little frustrating.

The location was great for the trip we had planned. Everything was walkable for us from the location. The room was clean and we were surprised they serviced the room (made up the bed) on such a short trip. The bed was incredibly comfortable - not firm/hard.

We got a room that was a ground level and was right on the street. We heard people walking chatting/laughing all night. We also got to hear the delivery trucks for the market next door pull up incredibly early and the workers go about their job. The private ensuite was a great find, but it was tiny. Think airport bathroom but with a shower also added. Water pressure was great though -- water just got everywhere in the bathroom.

I really liked the hotel. We arrived ahead of time and were seated immediately. It is very important that the hotel has storage rooms, and you can leave your things if you arrive too early or leave late and need to leave things somewhere. This saves both effort and money. Friendly owner, who told us everything and showed us everything. We really liked the room. Despite the fact that the house was narrow, like many houses in Amsterdam, the room itself was comfortable. High ceilings, large window and balcony, everything was very cool and created a pleasant atmosphere.

There was only one thing I didn't like. There was no closet to put things in. Therefore, it is better not to bring a large wardrobe. This problem is not critical. The advantages of the room are still much higher

Good central location, close to metro and a short walk to a lot of the museums/ attractions

The stairs to our room were quite narrow and steep, didn’t cause us a problem, but something to look out for! Also, the process of checking in/out was a little confusing. There wasn’t anyone at reception when we arrived and we only happened to see the staff by coincidence when we checked out. There was a number written that you could call so it was all fine in the end, but might be worth calling/ messaging ahead of arrival

It was an easy walk to the center and they were flexible with our check in. They also cleaned our rooms everyday. The bed was very comfortable.

The shower did not get very hot but if you don’t care so much it is not a problem. It doesn’t get very warm in the room but I think it was because the heater needed to be cleaned. There was a lot of dust in it.

A very short walk to tram line, hosts were very friendly and helpful and the area was very nice. It was pretty cheap compared to alot of other places we checked. Beds were comfy and the rooms were cleaned well. Room had a fan in it and a TV with Netflix which was very nice.

The shower/toilet area was very small. Shower would spray all over the floor because the curtain wasn't long enough and the sink was the size of my palm. But other than that it was very nice and if you're planning on spending most of your time outside the hotel it is not an issue.

Great location, comfortable room with good temperature control, easy check in and out and there was a kettle and coffee machine which was awesome!

The shower was only barricaded by a curtain and due to the small size of the bathroom, water got all over the floor. That’s about the only problem though, everything else was lovely!
