Staff were amazing, so incredibly friendly and helpful. They bent over backwards to help. The room, toilets and restaurant were very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the room temperature was easy to control. There are incredible views from the restaurant and the food was nice pub food. It is table service and the food is all freshly cooked to order where possible - obviously not practical with something like lasagne (which was nice). Think they said everything is made on site rather than bought in. You do need to allow time for the table service and fresh cooking though as not the quickest process.

The low level bath in the accessible room would be better replaced with a wet room style shower. The bath is incredibly narrow which made showering for my other half awkward. It would also not be accessible for me to use as a wheelchair user (although some may manage). We were only staying one night so this wasn't really an issue for this visit, but would be a factor for a longer stay. The bed was also very low which made transfers quite difficult. However, I was made aware of this beforehand and given a choice of rooms.

Perfect stay! Really attentive and friendly staff. We were personally walked to the room, whilst information was given regarding room heating, breakfast and where to find staff if needed. We booked last minute as the weather was against us getting to the airport from Cornwall the following morning, so headed up a night early. Best decision ever, we had a nice evening drink and meal, and a warm comfy room and bed to rest in! It seems to be an ex premier inn, so the beds are very comfortable. It’s been so lovely, we’ve booked again for another flight in a couple of weeks! I think this will become our new routine!

Nothing, we were very happy!

Hotel has just changed from being a Premier Inn so guests will see changes! Breakfast was good. Choices of various types all sensibly priced, and nicely cooked. Also had a good evening meal.

Room was cold on arrival and took a while to warm up. The air con/heating unit was full of dust and fluff which an engineer or contractor can easily sort with a good service. There needs to be clearer (or even any) signage for reception as guests arriving kept going into the bar to check in. And there needs to be a comfortable 'lounging area' - don't give the whole bar up to just tables for eating? BUT all this will surely happen once the new owners get sorted

The hotel and restaurant was fabulous. We really enjoyed our stay there. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond for us. Especially for our 8 month old puppy. They had in the room a cot prepared for our baby, the dogs bed and had even made up a hamper crate for our puppy which included; a blanket, poo bags, a jar of treats, 2 bowls and a mat. We absolutely loved that they done this for her. Staff in the restaurant were really pleasant and friendly and the kitchen staff even came out to greet themselves and made sure everything was ok

Set back from the road with a nice countryside view. Room was basic and small as was the shower room but expected this from low price. However the bed was very comfy and the shower was very good. Very quiet. We were just staying 1 night as visiting family nearby so didn’t have time to eat there or see much of the rest of the hotel.

Unpleasant smell everywhere including our room.

Such friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable bed. We had evening meal twice, with family, and were impressed both times on quality of the food, service and friendlines of staff. The cooked breakfast was very good, but it would have been even better if fruit, jams, and yoghurt were on offer.

The property is situated in a nice location for exploring the area. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and spacious and as a super cute touch, they had a welcome basket for our dogs. We had dinner, which was tasty, and attentive service throughout our stay. Lots of parking on site.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Accommodation excellent with very comfy bed

Evening meal not good rump steak very tough and peas overcooked. Very little gluten free options on the menu. The one gluten free dessert ( baked cheesecake) had run out. Would be nice to have a fish option not covered in batter

Lovely location overlooking the countryside and handy for Bristol Airport. Lovely old building with character, modern hotel facilities (as it was a Premier Inn) and on site parking. Very friendly and helpful staff and the food was great too. We would definitely stay again and recommend.

Leaving.
