A fantastic location, 5 minutes from Bristol Airport. We had an early flight the following morning and this was perfect to put our heads down for the night and then get up for a short drive to the airport. We’ll use again for the same reasons on future holidays. Also a relatively easy 20 min taxi into Bristol centre for an evening meal so is well located. Also a great touch was the staff noticed us leave the hotel for the evening and sent me a message on Booking.com and by text with instructions for getting into the hotel after hours, a really nice touch.

Nothing major, room was simple and relatively small but it’s what we expected so can’t complain at that!

The King Room at the Darlington Arms was nothing short of spectacular – it felt like staying in a royal palace! The attention to detail was incredible, from the luxurious bedding to the stunning decor that made me feel like I was living in a dream. And the breakfast? Absolutely divine! It was a feast fit for royalty, with every dish bursting with flavor and care. I could barely believe I wasn’t still dreaming! Truly an unforgettable experience.

"The only slight challenge was navigating the staircase with all my luggage, but it gave the place such a charming and traditional feel! It was like stepping back in time, and honestly, the character of the building made it all worth it. Plus, it was a good excuse to slow down and truly soak in the historic ambiance of the Darlington Arms!"

I accidentally booked a room with external bathroom, but on arrival, we were automatically upgraded to en suite as the hotel was quiet...this was a pleasant and unexpected bonus. The room itself was large and comfortable with an excellent shower. When we entered the room, the lamp was on, nice and warm and it felt really welcoming. We had good food at a reasonable price and the staff on duty were really pleasant. Situated on a very busy road but overnight it was quiet. Would stay again for sure. Only about 1 mile from.silver zone parking.

There was nothing we didn't like, but the room could do.with a lick of paint and some maintenance tidying in the bathroom where there has been a refit...that said, these establishments do get lots of visitors so I can imagine the timing is difficult... There was a macerating toilet which was quite loud, but it didn't bother us, not sure if the neighbours could hear it. Just providing a balanced review.

We stayed in the loft. Such a comfy bed, beautiful room. Close to the airport for a super early check in. Food service was quick and the food was proper pub grub. Lovely bar area.

Unfortunately the building is looking a little run down from the outside and some maintenance is needed in areas - for example paint work in bedroom and landing/stairs all need touching up. Carpet on the stairs very tired and worn. Garden didn’t look inviting but could be as only just hitting spring. Also comfy chairs in the bar were comfy but really need to be upholstered again.

Only met one member of staff, gentlemen behind bar. Showed us to our room, took food orders and bought food to table in bar. The food we had was outstanding! We had chicken chat and halloumi followed by lamb roganjosh and the vegan curry. Delicious!! The bar space is comfortable with good space, low music and lighting.

The property is quite tired. Unfortunately, the guttering at the front of the house seems to not work as we were woken by falling water, which despite the lovely heavy curtains inhibited sleep. We were in room Redhill.

It was very easy and convenient for our trip as we were traveling from Bristol airport for our holidays it was literally minutes away. The room was very clean and tidy but could see they were doing work at the place . The room was very spacious and a nice shower along with a fan as it was warm in the room as we had great weather outside. The bar and area was very clean and tidy but again could see that work was being done to the walls and ceilings. The gentleman who checked us in was very polite and friendly and very helpful. We went to down to the bar in the evening to have a drink and some food and it was great. Would stay here again

We stayed in one of the rooms in the front and unfortunately it was a little loud with the traffic on the road but it was expected being on a main road. Would still stay here again.

We liked the location, so close to BRISTOL Airport. Very warm reception on arrival. The room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. Had a Fantastic night's sleep. Bed very comfortable. We both had Rump steak in the restaurant and we both felt it was the Best steak we have had anywhere, DELICIOUS AND VERY WELL PRESENTED. The hazelnut bomb desert was delicious too. The bill with 3 drinks too was very, very reasonable. Overall we had a lovely overnight and would definitely stay again ☺️

There was nothing to dislike.

Darlington Arms is 2 minutes away from the airport which was just what we needed coming up from Cornwall. Room and own external bathroom was clean and tidy, staff were friendly and informative. Able to leave in middle of night for flight without disturbing anyone. Food was delicious. All round a great stay. Would definately stay again if flying from Bristol.

Not a dislike but carpet could do with a refresh and it is near main road to airport so at times quite busy but able to close window as had been given a fan for room

Great location for the airport, rooms were very comfortable food was nice staff were very friendly. About five minutes from Silverstone car park, very competitively priced, compared to a very large chain down the road . Staff were incredibly friendly and very accommodating and I would definitely stay here again.

A little bit dated, bathroom door wouldn’t close properly tap was wasn’t fastened to the sink properly, and in my mum and dad’s room in the shower tray wasn’t attached properly to the floor. Room is extremely hot and there were some very loud noises throughout the night. I think as a result of the plumbing also the road next to the pub is a very busy one so may not be great if you are a light sleeper. Was done very well. We had the Indian selection from both of the menu which was done to a very high standard but was extremely spicy..
