For us, visiting Burghley House, this property was ideally situated, and very easy to find. The rooms we had were comfortable and we felt secure, despite being in an annex with our door opening straight onto the car park. Very friendly staff who explained everything really well. Very filling, well presented breakfast, quality produce.

Breakfast was available from 8am, but we seemed to catch them ‘on the hop’, they didn’t seem quite ready. Not a great choice of cereals, although the offered yoghurt pots were lovely. It would have been nice to have been offered toast, even though none of us could have eaten much of it!

Lovely cosy pub. Welcomed with a complimentary tea/coffee which was a nice touch. Had booked a small double as only staying one night, located in an outside annex. Happy with the room and bathroom facilities. Parking conveniently at the side of the annex. Ate in the restaurant and was happy with the food. Nice breakfast included.

Very bright light in the courtyard which shone into the room during the night. We could still sleep OK and it's handy if you need to use the bathroom during the early hours. However, they do supply two black eye masks so they should resolve this issue.

Breakfast - beautiful breakfast area, great choice of menu - we had the full English it was delicious Room - beautiful decor - lovely furnishings- great tea selection and kettle - the only down side was the room was very cold , The day we checked in It was 13degrees and cold and windy - I know it’s early June but heating wasn’t - we asked if they could switch it on but it only came on if the temperature goes below a certain level. It made the stay uncomfortable sadly as everything else was spot on - would have like a bed side table and a bin - saying that WE would stay again but we would take a little fan heater We did a lovely walk across public bridal ways and footpaths directly from the Hotel approximately 4 miles .

Beautiful location and building. Lots of seating areas for dining, and very well presented. The gentleman whom I assume to be the manager, whilst being a Blue, was super friendly welcoming and attentive. Excellent evening meal, well cooked and presented and very tasty, good options too.

Emergency light in room too bright and along with uncomfortable pillows made for a restless night. The kettle in the room was still full of old water and there were signs of wear and tear in some furnishings which didn't sit with how the rest of the property was presented. At breakfast there was only menu options and not extra juice or cereal available, if there was it wasn't mentioned. Was only one night stay so didn't deter, but sometimes it's the finer details that really make the difference.

The staff both on the kitchen when we arrived (super late after the M25 was closed) and on reception were exceptional. We called ahead that we were running late and the restaurant kept us a plate of food each and warmed it up on arrival and stayed up to welcome us. The food was delicious, I’d recommend the venison pie. Reception were kind and understanding in the morning with our checkout time as we were still tired and had a long journey and the rooms were very reasonably priced. The decor was really nice and warm both in the room and bar and seems very new throughout. Breakfast was absolutely great and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We booked as a stop enroute home and wouldn’t hesitate to book it again.

The recently refurbished hotel provided excellent accommodation with all modern facilities. We stayed in one of the first floor attic rooms which was extremely comfortable and immaculately clean. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and polite and upon our arrival we were greeted with a cup of freshly brewed coffee.

There was nothing I could really fault about our stay with the exception of our evening meal which we took in the restaurant. I thought the menu was somewhat limited and quite basic for such an establishment and could be somewhat improved. However, the breakfast served was exceptional.

Nicely built property, keeping old features and blending the new to it completely in keeping. Great drinks selection and menu, my room wasn’t big, but it was scrupulously clean and well kitted and bathroom was particularly good with a brilliant shower.

I arrived early pm and read in my room which was a little cold. I think the heating is on timers, because after dinner it was nice and toasty warm

Lovely location in attractive village. Attractive dining and sitting areas, particularly the courtyard, which was perfect on a summer’s day and into the evening. Extensive garden area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable bed!

Nothing to dislike. But could have done with an extra member of staff at Sunday morning breakfast. Really too much for one waitress who had to take orders, serve breakfast and checkout guests. Mya was brilliant and coped with friendliness and charm, but the service was slow. Perhaps insufficient staff in the kitchen too.

Lovely room in a converted outbuilding of a recently refurbished, tastefully decorated and furnished stone built country pub. Attentive staff and nice touches like complimentary coffee on arrival. The en-suite room was well furnished and appointed with everything you could need and spotlessly clean. Great breakfast from a varied menu, we would definitely recommend The White Hart, as a base from which to explore Stamford and surrounding area and would return without hesitation. Thank you.

Nothing everything was perfect

The White Hart has very recently been refurbished, to a very high standard. It's beautiful, comfortable and welcoming. The staff made us very welcome and on a cold winter's weekend the lovely log fires were kept well stocked and heating turned up! The bedrooms are lovely and comfortable with full bathrooms, across the courtyard from the main building, with plenty of parking available. The menu is varied daily depending on seasonal availability, and to a very high standard. Breakfast were amazing, thank you! It's 5mins from Stamford, an ideal location to base yourself and enjoy the peace of the rural/ village location, but exceptional quality and value for money. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back again! Thanks to the Team at The White Hart for an amazing stay!
