But location on a very quiet beach. Great surf in front of the hotel. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly

The rest of the beach was dark except for right around this hotel area and they had it lit up like Time square. It was so bright you couldn't hardly see to walk back to the hotel from the beach because of the blinding light. The beach and the area would be much more pleasant without the stadium lighting. Also the ice machine sounded like a jet plane getting ready to take off it was very loud and disturbing In my room

The service is good (enough that this is a 2nd visit for a quick getaway) and friendly staff. It's right in front of the beach, has a nice pool, and breakfast is included. Has all the basics and the AC works great - nice after being out in the heat!

The 2nd floor room was not as nice as the last stay (for same room type) on 3rd floor. Breakfast is ok but nothing special. The ice machine was also not working. It is pet friendly which is nice but some dogs bark a lot when in the common/pool area. The outdoor lounge facing the ocean was also closed as it seems they're doing some remodeling.

Family/pet friendly 3 story hotel in Playa Hermosa, about 15 mins from Jaco center. The black sand beach was gorgeous though you have to be experienced with Costa Rican beaches to adjust to the tide and big waves (surfers' paradise). The food was excellent (a little pricey) but a typical CR style buffet breakfast was provided. The staff was excellent, spoke English and Spanish and the rooms were clean and a good size. The king room had a jacuzzi! No complaints - lots of parking. We were on the 3rd floor so I can imagine it gets noisy by the pool with all the kids but we had no complaints - also loved the diversity of visitors!!!

Follow up on towel service in the rooms. Otherwise, it was a fantastic stay!

Well located.. astonishing sunset. Although was a good place it could improve some details.the staff could be better trained. Put a little attention to details and maintenance. Our shower was ok but spread water all over. Some paint details are needed... details that could make the difference

The breakfast setting: table cloths that dis not match, one of the guys used the same spoon for two different containers (pinto and eggs) and they need to be careful with those things

The hotel is located directly at the beach. It has a very nice aura - including a restaurant-bar with delicious food and drinks. Friendly and attentive staff. Good sounds of Latin or reggae music in the air. The beach is not recommended for swimming, but seems to be a secret paradise for surfers. All in all a calm place to relax.

The safe was locked, but I also did not ask for using it. Otherwise, all good for the price! - Of course, if you need a central location, you need to look for something else.

The location is really convenient since it's in from of the beach. The swimming pool is really nice as well as the breakfast. Rooms were clean and the check-in process was fast.

Some guests tent to "reserve" the chairs at the swimming pool leaving towels and other articles even if there's no one around. There should be a rule to tell guests not to do this and communicate it at check-in.

In general, all staff was friendly, respectful and super willing to help. I would recommend to have small coffee makers in rooms. All food was super tasty, Great cooking. My wife and I worked in tourism bussiness for over 10 years in Costa Rica and know how to detect diferent levels of service and quality in hotels.

The parking area is the weak spot, I found a car with an open window in the parking outside the property and there was no security guard in place watching over the vehicles. I ended up reporting the issue at the front desk. Need to improve the internet connection in rooms. My room phone never worked. It was reported, but, TV and phone worked from fiber optic, so to make the TV Work they had to disconnect the phone. Bar is kind of pricy.

The location and the staff are amazing! This was the place where we felt more the local vibe. It is comfortable though a bit aged, but the staff is so nice that we were really happy there! You just cross the road and have a perfect beach, with a nice peak to surf. The restaurant has wonderful food, very diversified, very tasty and the staff is the best! Really the best! Super friendly, always with a smile! We loved it there!

My daughter and I spent a pleasant 5 nights here. We probably wouldn’t have booked at this location and hotel if we’d had more time before our trip, but at very short notice it was the only hotel available in the area with two beds per room. But it worked out very well and was excellent value for money. Friendly and efficient staff, nice comfy clean room. Right by Hermosa Beach. The shower in the room was fantastic - better than we’ve got at home. Great (free) breakfasts too. The pool was excellent and with the beach just across the road we had good views of sunsets from our balcony. The ocean at the beach is no good for weak swimmers or children due to strong undertow, but lovely smooth sand to walk on and and fine to wade in to the water if you don’t go in any further than standing depth. Several good restaurants 20 minutes walk away.

Lighting in the room was poor. Too dim to read a book at night without using cell phone or flashlight for illumination. Only two small recessed lamps in the ceiling and no table lamps. But this is just a small niggle in an otherwise very good package.
