Breakfast was fabulous. The staff there were so friendly. The room was clean. I could ask to change towels easily (because I stayed there a week). Laundry service was available (7 euros extra) which was cheaper than coin laundry. I could just ask and leave my clothes to the reception, my clean clothes were waiting for me in my room. I found it very helpful. Good for a long stay.

The window wasn't shut properly and it was ajar. It was winter but mosquitos were still active and I've got several bites. Probably because of the window... I could hear the noises from the other room (but not too loud).

This place was a steal when I booked it. Prime location and soon as I walked in it was like home. Very warm and friendly staff. I particularly loved the room I got. Very comfortable bed and pillows. (Forgot to ask where they’re from I need them). The whole stay was really good, the self service kitchen area was a good touch. The breakfast on the roof terrace was a big hit. And Linda’s scrambled eggs were 10/10. I usually judge a place by how issues get resolved the way Nicholai of Nicholas (pardon the wrong spelling) handled the door issue I had was outstanding. I honestly cannot wait to go back to this place for another stay, prime location in Sliema few mins walk and youre in the middle of it all. Beaches, shops, buses all very near. I’ll be back here.

The fact that I had to leave after 3 days. 🥲

I had room 21 this time, which is the bijou single room, upstairs. It grew on me, actually, despite its small size, and I couldn't help noticing the 4 pictures on the wall, and the large wardrobe. I think they were trying to tell me something, though, such as: "You'd be a lot happier if you got yourself a Supermodel," or something like that. Linda still does a fantastic job on breakfasts, though, and she set me up nicely for the day ahead. I'll be back, very soon, and this time, since I've got the message now, it might be a 'we.' I still enjoy a pint of Cisk in the Plough & Anchor, which is a 5 minute walk away, and Peppi's is just across the road from there. Dr Paul Harris

Old, vintage house (when I was there they have made some paint work, upgrades, but it didn’t bothered at all). Location is convenient: close to shore, walking/running promenade and bus stops. Terrace with breakfast is awesome, it’s open 24/7 (as long as you keep quiet late, and you don’t bother the cat 🐈!). There is a church with bells, but they start ringing only from 8am. Staff was very nice, I communicated most with Jessica (reception) and guys preparing breakfast.

The only thing I recall was a bit unstable wifi, but as I came to rest and not to work - it was not critical.

The breakfast was great, a good selection and the scrambled eggs (other varieties available) were lovely. The mug of coffee was not great but we were offered cappuccinos or espresso from a machine, much better. The room was lovely, we had booked one with a balcony. It was quiet and clean. It was brilliant having the use of a shred kitchen. The staff were very friendly and helpful, Jessica at reception and Linda at breakfast in particular. Checking in and getting our key was clearly explained and we'll organised.

Nothing, except maybe stronger coffee.

Staff were very friendly and quick to respond to any queries or requests Mila was great in the kitchen and always had a smile to help me start the day happy Breakfast was very good with eggs prepared to my.likingband a variety of other breakfast treats Like nda did a great job in the housecleaning department and my room, the common areas were always clean and tidy. Jessica and the other reception guy (sorry can't remember his name) were very helpful and well able to provide directions.

The room was a bit small for my liking I needed to work while I was there but had to go and find a chair to sit on while I worked and there was no desk/table to work on

I stayed for 4 nights last week, and then returned three days later, for another 4 nights. I love the place. This time, they upgraded me again, and I had room 8, which has a separate sitting room, containing a sofa and 2 armchairs. Linda was still there, and she wanted to know the real identities of all the famous people I was chatting to, telepathically, over breakfast. I lead an interesting life right now, but I still managed to enjoy her omelettes. Passport Control at Luqa are getting fed up with me, and threatening to ban me from the Eurozone for the next 5 years. But I might take the risk, anyway, and return to Maltese Sun very soon. Paul

Our experience was truly delightful. The hotel’s high ceilings and charming décor immediately caught our attention, creating a spacious and welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay. There was an impressive selection of meats, breads, and pastries that catered to all tastes. Mila, who was in charge of breakfast, was incredibly nice and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Her helpers, Nora and Jacquelin, were also very friendly and made us feel right at home. They both went out of their way to ensure our mornings started off perfectly. A special mention also goes to Jessica at the reception. She was incredibly helpful, offering great advice on places to visit and making sure we had all the information we needed for a memorable stay. Overall, The Maltese Sun provided us with a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Malta!

We stayed recently at the Maltese Sun for some days and theatmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, thanks to a sunny and accommodating staff that made our stay truly special. The rooms were always clean and well-kept, which helped us feel right at home. One of the highlights is definitely the beautiful terrace, where we enjoyed a plentiful and delicious breakfast every morning. A big thank you goes especially to Jessica, who provided us with so much useful information about places to visit. Her availability and recommendations made our experience even more memorable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay and we can't wait to return!

Excellent location, just near the promenade and all the bus connections with rest of the island. Staff was very welcoming, with special thanks to Serbian Mila from the breakfast area staff, always quick service and with a lots of positive energy towards all the guests. Room was pretty good, from comfort and facilities standpoint. Inside the place there is also vending machine with water, pretty helpful if you are in a haste. Outside decor of the building is great. Breakfast was nice with eggs prepared the way you like, couple of cheeses selection, also sweets, limited, but well balanced variety... everything served in nice sunny terrace overlooking nearby buildings.

Even trying to be picky, but nothing to dislike here, would definitely come back next time.
