It is located in the heart of Cagliari and I could enjoy the beautiful architecture and atmosphere of the old city. The location itself was a great experience as well as it was a very nice combination of the old building and modern design. The bed itself would have received 11 stars if I could as it was the most comfortable one with high quality ergonomic pillows and mattress. I had an amazing sleep after the whole day of walking and traveling. Last but not least the host Luca would have also receive 11 stars for his hospitality, attentiveness and professionalism. He explained me well how to get to the place, answered all my questions regarding the location and even arranged a pass as the location is based in the time access restriction area.

Communication with Luca was fantastic. He was quick to respond, sent a video with check in instructions and was clear in expectation for cleaning and check out. The Golden Room was below ground so there was no need for black out curtains; the lighting was suitable for day/night; the bed was super comfortable. There was complimentary coffee and tea; a cute lounge area and a private separate bathroom. Honestly, great value for money.

It’s a bit far from local shops, but we only stayed one night so this wasn’t a huge issue. Also, my husband is quite tall and muscular and the shower was a bit small (for him—6’2” 100kg). But again, minor inconvenience.

Both the bedroom accommodation and the shared facilities are very nicely decorated, clean and very well stocked with lots of very helpful extras, coffee and breakfast items, etc. The location is lovely with lots to explore and beautiful views from the nearby mini plaza. Once we'd followed your instructions for the parking garage and found our way back to the property, we loved the convenience of the arrangement and proximity to the Martini Rooms. At first we were disappointed to find the parking facilities for the property so complicated, but happy once we'd got our heads around it.

This isn't a criticism of the property, and I may have overlooked any information that may be available within the property, but when we arrived quite late in the evening and had to get our heads around the parking arrangements for the area, we completely missed the local restaurants and had a real problem finding information on Google. Prominently placed information on local restaurants, cafes, food stores and takeaway ordering services with contact numbers and directions would be super helpful. In the end we filled up on melba toast, butter and strawberry jam! Thank you for those! :)

The limited breakfast was lovely. It wasn't included in the price and a nice touch

Parking was a bit hit and miss although we mostly got a space outside the rooms. I think having paid extra for the balcony which I had assumed we could take coffee on was disappointing especially after it being described as having a city view was an ambiguous description as we could only see the houses next door. Getting into the rooms was initially probmatical as the door codes were not given to us prior to arrival. The owners were easy to get hold and the problem resolved quickly. After check out we received some strange requests for the keys which we never had !

Great communication prior to the date of arrival. Though it was self check-in, the details of the process of check in and parking was amazing! The hosts were readily available to respond to any questions or queries ;) Great location. Unique design of the guest suites. The high ceiling in the room made it feel quite spacious and comfortable. Dyson air purifier was a nice touch. Having access to the common kitchen area and coffee machine was great.

The only thing would be nice to have 2 sets of pillows for each person.

We really enjoyed our stay at Martini Rooms Castello. The instructions were clear and the hosts were friendly. The location was great as it is located in the Old town. The room itself was a basement room, but it was really well-decorated, modern, clean and cosy.

A small minus was that while there was a private bathroom it was not located in the room itself. It was located across from the front door to the room meaning you had to exit the room to use the bathroom.

Exceptional location made it easy to walk around the town and wander through the streets. Access was easy by using PIN codes instead of door keys.

We needed to wait an hour before the room was ready. But the house keeper was friendly and shared facilities great to use while we waited. Parking might be tough during busy season - we were lucky enough to find free street parking under 10 minutes away.

It was a great location in many respects and the room was nice. We knew we were staying in the old city center but did not anticipate that there would be no restaurants within walking distance. Be prepared to walk some pretty serious hills to get a meal. A wonderful walk but quite a work out.

Two suggestions. Given the lack of nearby restaurants, consider providing a bit more in the way of a self service breakfast and sufficient water in the room. The lack of amenities determined my rating. We stayed in less expensive places with great service and amenities on this trip. Plumbing was also a bit glitchy - hard to turn on faucets and shower.

Very clean, modern, it‘s very easy to check in and out, the owner is very helpful. the room is beautiful and comfortable, the kitchen nice and essentially equipped (Italian type of breakfast).

For my circumstances, the location was not the most comfortable one. The place is located high above the city centre, and the walk is steep, I wouldn’t recommend it at the end of a busy day. We usually walk, but we underestimated this one. I recommend a taxi to reach it, definitely, from the railway station and from the centre/shopping area.

Loved this place. Right in heart of old town Cagliari, it was a beautiful location and surrounded by amazing view points over the city, fantastic restaurants, historic landmarks and the museum. The room was very comfortable, the air conditioning was a plus! The owner was fantastic and easy to communicate with and organise extra things like laundry access. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in Cagliari.
