I was very pleased with my stay at this nice hotel. The hotel is well located in the central area of fort cochin ideally placed within walking distance of all the sights, ferry to ernakulum (approx 20mins walk) and restaurants and cafes but it is very quiet. It is nice inside with a heritage feel with wooden furniture and the reception staff were very helpful including booking me an airport transfer from the hotel early in the morning. The room was large and well appointed with kettle, tea and coffee and good sized shower. I stayed here three nights and always felt safe as a solo female traveller and would go back.

The property is well located and the rooms are well equipped. The attached restaurant is fabulous and serves scrumptious North Indian fare. The location is the real star here though - you’re literally a walk away from every possible destination and there’s great Uber connectivity in case you want to travel somewhere further away. This is, in our experience, probably the best experience you can have on a budget in the area.

The rooms were not properly cleaned when we’d checked in and the shower pressure was abysmal. The front desk while helpful was a bit lethargic and hands off - would have liked to see them be a bit more involved.

We had a lovely 3 night stay here . Nice heritage style hotel. Big comfy beds. Nice and quiet at night. No noise from the street The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Location is great, so close to everything.

The only thing was that they were doing some maintenance work in the hotel so it was noisy during the day but I don’t know when that work will finish . We were out most of the days anyway , lots to see and do !

The location was perfect- right next to the Princess Street and very good Indian and western restaurants. There were plenty of transportation options nearby too. The staff were very helpful and when we had a problem with electricy in our room, we were immediately moved to a nearby room. Do check their restaurant on the ground floor. It is really really good!

A few problems with electricity in our room. The hotel is somewhat old so some of the furniture/equipment seems to be worn out. I would love to have more variety for breakfast, but overall the food that we got was good.

Our visit to Hotel Arches was only brief as we just had one night in Cochin before going to the airportto continue our travels. The hotel was very clean, the room comfortable and the situation ideal for sightseeing. We also used the restaurant for two meals and found it clean and good value with tasty food. Although we left the hotel to early in the morning to go to breakfast, the hotel kindly packed us a very simple packed breakfast to take with us.

The bathroom was a bit dark. Additional or stronger lights would be better.

Beautiful heritage hotel in the heart of Fort Kochi, within walkable distance to tourist attractions and eateries and a short tuktuk ride into Jew Town. The rooms are spacious and clean with all the necessary amenities. Breakfasts were good with Western and traditional options. The management team and staff are friendly and helpful and offered good advice regarding sightseeing and dining options in the area 😀

Great location right in the old town near to a lot of restaurants, the beach, shops and all. Loved the stay. Cosy rooms, great food as well. Service is great and quick. Staff is helpful. Overall very happy about our hotel in kochi.

Staff is friendly and helpful but the sightseeing trips they offer are not the best deals. So I recommend to book your backwater tour and cabs from another place who offer more varieties and have more knowledge.

Arches Hotel is one of the heritage hotels in Kochi which give the place its historic charm. The hotel changed management shortly before we arrived and as a result some aspects were not as advertised, e.g. the rooftop terrace was not open and no breakfast was served. This didn't bother us as there are many places to have breakfast but it's a pity about the rooftop terrace and I hope it will be reopened. The rooms are spacious and the decor throughout the hotel is in the heritage style one would expect. The bathrooms are renovated, but more attention could have been paid to how this was done - e.g. the 'rain' shower is plumbed through the electric fan and this arrangement is of concern. I preferred not to use it and used the classic Indian style 'bucket' bath. The air-conditioning could do with an update. On the whole our stay was very pleasant, the staff were nice and helpful, the location is perfect and the 'heritage' ambience was great.

See above - the modernised bathroom could do with better shower plumbing. AC could do with an update.

The property had a rustic charm. Been located in fort kochi, the property with all its amenities felt quite a steal. It was at walking distance with most happening areas around. Staff was extremely gracious in addressing all our questions. The staff was one of the main highlights of the property

Cleanliness. I found random hair strands in linens and near the bottles. Maybe if the place could have been kept slightly more clean, it would be 10/10
