The check-in & check-out staff were friendly, kind, & helpful. Great manager. The breakfast staff were excellent & the hot breakfast was great. Too bad they did not serve a lunch/dinner menu. Housekeeping great as well

The hotel staffer transferred a scammer to my room & my family's room around 12:30 am on the first day of our arrival. It was a little scary. Thank the Lord for alerting us to realize it was a scammer plus it interrupted our sleep. The person said they were calling from Wyndham Corporate office. I reported it to hotel manager & Wyndham Corp. Office the next day. The friendly manager apologized. I just do not want it to happen to anyone else because most hotel guests were seniors.

My Husband and I had a great stay for 3 nights. Check in was smooth and the staff was friendly. Our room was oceanfront with a nice view. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. Housekeeping came everyday and did a great job tidying up and restocking. Breakfast every morning was 6am-10am, it was very good and had a lot of options to choose from. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, omelets, muffins, breads, oatmeal, cereals, juices, coffees, hot chocolate, etc. We checked out online which was very convenient not having to stop at the front deck on our way out. Overall we had a great stay and will definitely be back in the future!

Our room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated, our view of the ocean was gorgeous, our bed was very comfortable, our a/c was powerful and handled the heat and humidity fabulously. From the evening we checked in until the morning we checked out, everyone was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. We had scrambled eggs, oatmeal, pancakes, cereal, muffins, bagels, yogurt, milk, juice and coffee every morning with either breakfast sausage, bacon or sausage links. Our stay was lovely and we are eager to go back.

It is difficult to find food on the island after 8:30 pm... not the facility's fault but everyone needs to know that very few restaurants are open until 9:00 pm so plan accordingly.

Excellent location with the beach, the bike rental shop, a grocery store and the best restaurants are at the arm’s length; continental breakfast, plenty of room options, pool towels are provided free, rooms are clean and beds are comfortable, there are plenty of power outlets in the room, USB outlets are also available; there are hair dryers, coffee makers, microwave ovens and mini-fridges in the rooms (no irons); a great value for money.

Slow and unreliable wi fi, bad cellular connection in the room (ATT), it is very difficult to get your swimsuit dry between uses in rooms not facing the ocean, the pool and bath towels are tiny, the two pools are small and have very limited shade provided.

The PEOPLE! The staff members were ALL welcoming and friendly. They worked with care, and I even saw a gentleman spot-cleaning the walkway to our room with a towel! The buffet breakfast was excellent with many choices, and the area was spotless and well-stocked continuously, even with a crowd. It was evident that the staff took pride in their work and wanted the hotel to be excellent. Even though the property was one of the original four built in 1969, it is well-kept and clean. I felt like I was stepping back in time to a special part of Jekyll’s history. I will definitely stay again!

I was a little confused about the booking and found at check-in that there was an up charge for a room on the ocean side of the building. The reservation was for a parking lot view. That could have been a little clearer. What seemed to be the original elevator was not large enough for luggage carts, so if you want the upper level view, there is a trade-out…you have to carry everything you bring with you up the stairs.

The location is perfect the room is super clean. A few things would make it better. Hooks for drying swim wear in the room after beach/pool…. Better pillows . The kitchen staff is amazing for breakfast. Cynthia is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. They breakfast is amazing and the area is kept super clean.

The front desk staff was unfriendly and informed. This is our 4th year staying, in the past the front desk people were super helpful and very friendly. The new staff is not friendly at all and wasn’t able to help with our questions.

I love the fact that it was right on the beach front. The room was clean. Breakfast, there was more than enough choice. The staff were always there to help. The pool was heated and the hot tub was great on a misty evening. We had a bonfire, which we paid $10 for, today was good for wood and for it to be lit. Ask about that on your next stay.

Nothing, everything was great and on point. The hotel is getting some work doing on it. They are upgrading the rooms. The noise level was low and it didn't affect out stay.

This is a great place to stay. They are currently (August 2023) doing an extensive renovation on one wing of the property. There are no rooms available on that side and the construction DOES NOT affect the side where rooms are available. When the renovations are complete, it will be even more amazing. The pool areas are great. The office/breakfast areas are great. You can rent bicycles on-site, which is amazing. I recommend getting a suite. Our suite had a living area and a sleeping area with a kitchenette in between and separate entrance doors.

Just an FYI, at NO FAULT OF THE PROPERTY, obviously; there are rivers that meet the ocean in this area. When the tide is out, the beach becomes a muddy river bank and flows like a river.

It was close to the beach- which is a big plus for my family of 6. There were two pools, one was heated but both felt fabulous. Beds were cozy. Plenty of room for all of us. Breakfast was free and plentiful! Everyone was so kind. You can walk nearly anywhere.

There wasnt a whole lot that I didn't like! Just a side note for someone who has never been to an island- you do have to pay daily to be on the island- we didnt know that. That isnt the hotel's fault at all! Just wanted to make sure others knew (because i didnt do my research!)

Pool and Jacuzzi were very good. Boardwalk and path through the dunes to the ocean was terrific. Our room was an end room which was quiet and private. The location on the island is excellent and also convenient to the Marketplace at the traffic Rotary. The cheese omelet and coffee was very good. The view from the breakfast buffet on the 2nd floor was awesome. a window wall facing east to enjoy the sunrise over the ocean. Be sure to check out the wall mural around the stair well, a hand painted original. We look forward to going back soon.

The breakfast was fair/average and could use some updating and breakfast meat besides sausage gravy. The hostess was not engaging. No conversation. No service except to replenish food items on the buffet. She was working alone and kept everything stocked, but to have a second person and someone to walk around and pour coffee and talk would be a nice touch. I was surprised to pay an island entrance fee collected on the roadway like a toll booth. It had nothing to do with the hotel or It wasn't the amount of $8.00 (debit or credit, cash discouraged). I just never expected that.
