Easy walk to different tourist attractions and markets. It was by far the cleanest well equipt hotel we stayed in the whole trip, it had a full kitchen and washing machine and dryer. Every part of the hotel was extremely clean. Had a great pool, gym, play room for young kids and pool table. We had room service 2x and the prices were higher than Vietnamese prices but much cheaper than Ausi and the last resort we stayed at. All the staff were extremely friendly too. We really appreciate the upgrade, and congratulations cake such lovely touch. The photos don't do the room justice!

Comfortable stay in a very nice location. Apartment and the amenities were modern and well maintained.

Only thing we were not aware of was that staff requested us to make a huge deposit at the time of checkin. Normally we would be ok with this temporary security hold, but the amount this time was too large for us and we didnt know about this prior. It would be good for the property to mention this clearly upfront at the time of the booking. Other than that, the property and staff were very nice and our stay was amazing.

Service was excellent. The suites where very well appointed, and also had everything we needed. Swimming pool, guy, recreation were amazing. The location is very good with services around and close to town. They offer a shuttle bus several times a day to take people to locations in the city centre, and can also pick up on return. They offer serviced apartments, but it is very much close to being a hotel, and yet providing all the self-serve facilities. We were able to walk into town in about 20 minutes - paths are very safe and walkable. The staff were very engaged and attentive to our needs. We arrived early, before check-in time, and were directed to the pool area where we could shower and swim and wait for our room to be ready. They also booked tickets for shows that we wanted to watch, at a discount. There are many coffee shops and restaurants in the area so it is easy to grab a good vegetarian meal, and/or coffee.

Can't think of anything that stands out. The restaurant is good and convenient when you need a meal. We ate only once during our stay, and that was good, with good service. They could do with some more vegetarian choice.

Breakfast was both buffet options and menu options - all included in the room rate. There was a lot of variety - kids loved the buttermilk pancakes & waffles. The rooms were very spacious - we were able to add a single bed to our room which had a king bed. The room was a residence, so it had a kitchen & laundry facilities. Separate washer & dryer which was fantastic. Bathroom was huge - very spacious. Kids absolutely loved the indoor pool and the entertainment room. Staff were lovely & professional - always willing to help. Shuttle service was very convenient.

We were upgraded from a family suite to the grand suite. The suite was exceptional, modern and very spacious. The layout of the suite was very well thought out. The room had a washing machine and a dryer, which was really handy! The staff here are very welcoming and spoke English well. Hieu was very friendly and was always happy to help us with our queries. The buffet breakfast is also great. Apart from the side bar, you can also order unlimited dishes from their breakfast menu.

Location is not central, but most places are only a short 10mins ride away.

The apartment was very spacious and well appointed. We enjoyed the pool area and billiard table in the games room. The staff were very friendly and helpful and allowed us to use the shared facilities after we checked out, which was very useful given that we had a late night flight.

We found the location a little difficult to find cheap and easy family friendly Vietnamese food. It was our only night in HCMC, so I can’t compare it to any other areas, but the restaurants we found nearby were very upmarket and not what we were looking for. We ended up eating at the restaurant in the hotel, which was a bit expensive by Vietnam standards, but the food was excellent and a lot of variety.

Excellent room which was spacious, comfortable and clean. Water was provided daily and that is always a nice bonus. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel provided a free shuttle to the other areas which was really good. We chose to get the breakfast package which included a nice variety of items to choose from each morning. We also ate dinner in the hotel a few nights and the food was delicious.

We opted to do a dinner cruise from the hotel and given the quality and service of the hotel the cruise was really not worth the money. If they offer something it should be better quality. The boat was not that nice and you couldn’t see the views because of all the junk they had blocking it. Food was mediocre. When we were out on the water we saw a lot nicer boats. I suggest not booking through the hotel.

Sherwood Suites is a first class, affordable hotel accommodation in Ho Chi Minh's District 3. From check-in to check-out, this place is brilliant. I stayed in Room 506; a Premier Suite. It was fantastic! A very spacious Suite with separate Bedroom/Bathroom/Kitchen and Living area. It had everything you needed at a very affordable price. The Suite was huge. A full kitchen area; washing and drying machines; walk-in robes; large bathroom; toiletries; TV's in both bedroom and living areas. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help you with any queries. We dined at the restaurant and the food and drinks were both excellent. Location is great. Close to loads of restaurants and heaps of key sites within relatively easy walking distance e.g. the Independent Palace; War Museum; etc. Also handy is a supermarket/Mart just across the street which stocks absolutely everything you need. The hotel also has other outstanding facilities including a lovely pool, fully equipped gymnasium, sauna, games room. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh.

It was perfect

The room was huge, the AC was fantastic--I could see these rooms being used for longer stays of a week or more as a short-term living scenario. Ordering food for delivery via Grab and having the hotel staff bring it up was an extra perk as well. Probably great for families or a couple, location was pretty solid and you can just Grab everywhere anyway. Would stay again!

I couldn't really fault this hotel. The staff were lovely. Decent breakfast. The room was wonderful. I loved being having the washer/dryer there to do some much needed laundry. The bathrooms were a decent size and the showers were a pleasure. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen/livings areas were spacious and functional. Overall, if I ever go back to Ho Chi Minh City, I'd probably stay here again.

I'm struggling to think of things wrong with this hotel... The TV setup was a little clunky. The remote was somewhat unresponsive at times. The hotel is on a one way street so the taxi/Grab rides might be a bit more expensive. The breakfast could've done with more western options and whilst I appreciate the cutting down of waste by using an ordering style compared to the buffet style, it did mean you couldn't be in a hurry. You couldn't just grab something to eat and go. You needed to order and wait.
