Easy and quick check-in and check-out. Fantastic service by Georgia; professional, helpful, all round brilliant hospitality. What a credit to the hotel she is. Room was spacious with gorgeous views, bed was so comfy, bathroom was lovely and modern. The room was equipped with cutlery and small sized crockery, which was perfect for us as we were happy to get a takeaway and enjoy staying in our lovely room for the night. We did venture down to the hotel bar later on in the evening for a nightcap, and received great service and drinks. Great selection of teas, both regular and decaf coffee, and even hot chocolate sachets. Well stocked mini bar, although we didn’t utilise it. The real highlight was enjoying the pool, jacuzzi and sauna the following morning and we had it all to ourselves.

We liked everything- if I was being really picky, I would say the room was cold when we arrived and the heating took a long time to get up to our required temperature. There is a spare blanket in the wardrobe though which made all the difference.

Everything was PERFECT. We had an easy check in and room upgrade to 16th floor , balcony YAY, view YAY, bed was super comfortable, pillows fabulous. No idea if tv worked we explored Wellington and just used the hotel to sleep and one dinner on site. Bonus little kitchen with a microwave - not used and a toaster which was super, saved loads on breakfast had my plunger coffee and toast in the room before heading out to explore. So quiet in the hotel , I was amazed especially being in the hub of the city. I most definitely will stay here again. Shame about the weather but hey it’s Wellington remember to take warm gear and raincoats.

The restaurant was fine but does not cater for vegetarian or vegan . Very meaty menu with lots of options for carnivores but not much good for plant based eaters

The hotel is located close to the train station making travel to and from the airport super easy. We also enjoyed the close proximity to amenities. The Rydges Wellington is a well maintained facility with professional and friendly staff. Beds are super comfortable which adds to a pleasant stay. Our luggage was taken directly to our room from the luggage storage which made check in super easy.

The bathroom needs an update especially the shower over bath setup. If you stay more than one night the milk in the fridge is not replenished. One thing I don't understand is large hotel chains charging for tap payment it is ridiculous.

The staff was very nice, especially Grace who especially helped us out when we arrived very early, and another very nice staff member ( a young man, I forget his name) who took the time to help us find a precious item accidentally left in our room at check out. Breakfast was excellent. Good location, we could see the Beehive from our room and close to the waterfront. Otherwise the facilities are a bit dated, but still comfortable.

Bathroom tub was slippery and awkward to get in and out, overly expensive chips and cookies in room which is difficult to keep kids from eating since they assume it is free, and only instant coffee in the rooms.

Close to the waterfront & nearby food places. Nice views . The night and day curtains, air con/heater

Room lights were very small not bright enough to see anything properly especially during the night had to use extra lights around . The bathroom had no aircon or fan inside made it very hot & hard to breathe properly inside after a shower. The mirror fogged up but only the centre square shape was clear which i found very suspicious. The mini bar should not be put together with the complementary products should be separated and have a menu on the counter top explaining whats complementary and what is to be purchased.

Breakfast was buffet-style and offered a good variety of choices. The food was well-prepared. The room was comfortable. I slept very well on the mattress, which was not too soft or hard. All staff- from cleaning to reception were very friendly. Thank you to the manager who arranged for my jacket to be sent back after I left it there.

Breakfast could be more coordinated, with yoghurt hidden somewhere in an obscure place away from the fruit and no bowls. The order in which it was arranged did not make sense and involved many walking around, looking for food items. At the time we booked there, there was also a conference. Not one specific person kept an eye on the quantities of the foods. It is a pity because coffee, yoghurt and sausages can quickly run out.

My fiance and i bought his boss and partner hea for a night we booked 2 rooms we let the bday man choose his swipe card to room as the rooms were accross from each other and he chose the right room it had a balcony lol.I absolutely loved the massive bed and the shower was great. All staff were amazing. Had dinner at thea restaurant omg food was lovely, men ordered 1kg steak wondered why the waitress kum out and explained about this 1kg steak she said it would of fed the 4 of us but us ladies were set on pork belly. Then next min she said the price 180 for 1kg steak we were like wow that's a weeks worth of meat for us my partner soon changed his steak 😆 to sirloin which he loved and so did our bday man. Loved that we had sky so we kicked it over at the balcony room watched fast n the furious Tokyo drift and also stood out on balcony watching the cars driving past like that. We were also parked across from thea room which was good that we could watch them. None of us wanted to leave the next morning so off went my hubby to see if we could keep our rooms another night and yaaaa we could. Boss ended up shouting room service for breakfast and again for snacks and desserts. We chilled out went for a swim in heated pool was lovely then went and laxed in spa which was even better. We then chilled in our own rooms the 2nd night and was late check out 11am. Thanks rydges for our 2 night getaway u guys rock and yes we will be back hopefully our honeymoon in January if I'm lucky 😊.

I can honestly say the only thing I didn't like was our room view was offices and thea were still peeps in thea but that is my only downfall with the room.

Love the service from staff both at check-in and the front of house staff were amazing. Especially with my younger 3 year old son. Reception staff were so helpful with the check-in as well as parking situations. The breakfast buffet was on point every morning highly recommend. Ideal location close to everything and easy to access. Room was lovely and would probably book a bigger one next time but definitely value for money. Kids loved the fact that there was a bath and enjoyed that more than the adults. Pool was also available and definitely a plus from us. Family friendly and definitely will be coming back.

Just mix up with the cleaning of the room rubbish not taken out after the room was refreshed pillow cases where left on the chairs looked like they either left in a hurry or forgot.... apart from that minor mishap the stay was awesome....

Everything was exactly how it was pictured to be on the website. Our room was nice, clean, had everything we needed (though they forgot a couple of Teaspoons and Knives but that didn't bother us at all), and a nice big window with a view of the streets below. The Pool, Gym, Sauna and Spa were awesome although there is only one little bench to sit on when watching the kids swim and when we were in the Pool there was a large group of young Cheerleaders in the Pool at the same time so there were a bunch of us adults all standing around. The Gym, although small, has your basic needs: Treadmills, Bikes, Dumbells. Quality of Customer Service was absolutely amazing.

Parking. Though there is nothing they can do about it, and it's clearly stated on their site, walking to and from the Carpark in the rain was probably our least favourite thing about staying at the Rydges. In saying that, they gave us a discount code to use at the Stout Street Carpark and it's literally only a 5min walk away (Cross two roads and you're there).

The customer service desk was very helpful to assist us with getting to our concert via a taxi.

I have stayed many times here but this was the first time I noticed our main breakfast seem cold. The last few times when I have stayed we have had problems trying to get our TV to work. Last time someone did come and sort for us. But this time it was after the concert which was about mid night that we noticed the TV not working and did not want to ring at that time of night. I do think this is an issue that needs to be sorted to ensure they are in working condition before we arrive to avoid this sort of situation.
