The hotel is located right in the center of great dining and shopping in Stellenbosch. An excellent location. Staff are very professional and helpful - always at the ready. The restaurant on-site is high quality. Service is exceptional and a food was very good. Courses were served in timely fashion and the menu, although somewhat limited, provided a number of interesting choices. A buffet breakfast is very well presented and is followed by your order fro the menu with again a number of interesting and creative breakfast choices.

We loved absolutely everything about this beautiful quaint hotel. The team who worked there could not have been nicer and couldn't do enough for you to make you feel at home. The decor was stunning and the rooms were comfy and peaceful. The treatments at the spa were top notch too. We had dinner at their restaurant the first night and the food and service was incredible, I never take pictures of food, but the presentation was so good, I had to. The breakfasts were superb too. We cannot fault this beautiful place

I stayed here last minute after my flight was cancelled. While I arrived late in the evening, the staff on duty were incredibly welcoming and kind, especially appreciated after a hectic travel day. They made sure I was able to get settled in. The room was absolutely wonderful, with a spacious bathroom, room, and balcony, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Small touches like the kettle being pre-filled were greatly appreciated. While I’m happy my flight was rescheduled, I wish I had more time to enjoy staying here, not just because of the room and location but also because of the welcoming and kind staff.

This was a wonderful property with exceptional staff. I have been travelling for a month in Africa but this is the most comfortable I have felt anywhere. The ambiance was wonderful. I had a cozy room with an over size shower and bath. The bed was very comfortable. Linens were crisp and clean with great pillows. The breakfast was beyond substantial. In addition to a wonderful continental of fresh baked bread and pastries there was a full hot menu. I also enjoyed a wonderful evening meal with wine pairing. I didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. There was also a small bar where people were enjoying themselves. As a solo traveller I appreciated that the staff were attentive and helpful. They were able to book me a lovely wine tour when everything was sold out. They offered to accompany me to the ATM if I felt uncomfortable (I didn’t). When I had a problem with my credit card they helped me resolve it. I throughly enjoyed everything about my stay including the homemade cookie on my pillow at night. I recommend you treat yourself and hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This was our third time in the Coopmanhuijs. This hotel runs like clockwork and everything is spot on! The staff and GM are superfriendly and and they seem one happy family, they radiate a positive energy. The Coopmanhuijs ticks all the boxes, (perfect location in the beating heart of Stellenbosch, great terrace, great food and wines, nice spa and pool, and especially the warm and genuine hospitality stands out. Would absolutely recommend. Big thank you to Suzaan, Angelika, William, Neal, Zuzu, Busi, and all other wonderful staff. Thanks so much for making us feel welcome and at home. See you next year! We stayed here late December 2023. If you want an oasis of peace in the middle of Stellenbosch, Coopmanhuijs is the place to stay. It is in the middle of town, but once you walk through the front doors, you feel the calmness. This is only amplified by the staff and the décor. From William the concierge who was most helpful with tips about where to go and ready with any assistance we needed, to Nikita on reception when we signed in, to Primrose who served us our breakfast and lunch most times, we were spoiled. These are the only some of the staff we had contact with, but everyone was most welcoming and friendly. Definitely worth al look. You will not be disappointed.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Coopmanhuijs Boutique Hotel & Spa in Stellenbosch! Every staff member went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and we loved everything including the spacious and well equipped room, lovely bathroom with nice Charlotte Rhys products, daily update on the weather and load-shedding as well as the treat (such a nice touch!), the friendly turn-down service, plus then a great freshly prepared breakfast on top. Can’t recommend this hotel and its team highly enough. Thank you for another superb stay!

Coopmanhuijs Hotel is in a very central situation in Stellenbosch, and the visitor has a huge choice of coffee shops, restaurants and wine bars in the same street. Such a lovely atmosphere. Loved the traditional decor in bedrooms and public spaces which gave an authentic Cape feel. The restaurant is very highly regarded, the food is delicious and they always seem to have a space for hotel residents, even if fully booked. The staff are all wonderful and go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable.

Load-shedding (electricity blackouts) happened daily or more than once daily. Obviously not the hotel's fault but it did have a bit of an impact on our stay although staff are heroic at keeping the kitchen operational etc. There didn't seem to be a generator to take over when the electricity cut out, as far as I could see.

Location was perfect, in the heart of Stellenbosch. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and breakfasts delicious. We should visit in summer - the pool looked so inviting!

The parking is a bit of an issue, but the staff dealt with the vehicle as soon as we arrived at the hotel. The valet parking worked like clockwork.
