Amazing place. I wish we could stay here longer. The sea view rooms have an amazing view of the ocean. The bed is very comfortable, and the room has great working A/C. WiFi works decent (for an island). The bathroom + closet space is fully covered but open to the outside (no A/C). Surprisingly, no mosquitos. (I think they fumigate the island once a week.) The room shower has great water pressure and temperature range. Outdoor showers are provided to wash away sand before entering the room. I love being able to walk from the bedroom into the ocean in less than a minute. Breakfast and dinner buffets are superb. Lots of variety each meal (Indian, Chinese, local, International) and very tasty. The fitness center is pretty good, and there are so many free activities to do there: kayaking, snorkeling, sunbathing, swimming in the ocean or pool, volleyball, walking around the island, kids area, etc. When we stayed, certified divers are allowed 2 free dives EVERY DAY - and this has been the best diving area I have done so far. There are also a lot of paid activities (surfing, jet ski, dinner cruises, ...) - but we had plenty to do with just the free activities. Sunrises and sunsets are amazing. Staff is very friendly. I was happy to propose to my future wife here on the beach.

My only real complaint is the drinking water. While it's clean and safe to drink, it tastes terrible - like drinking chlorine. I think swimming pool water tastes better. Most people didn't seem to mind, so maybe I'm just extra sensitive. Luckily, I found a water filter in the fitness center that has better tasting water. You are isolated on an island, so anything extra you need to buy is very expensive. Whatever you can buy at your supermarket will cost 5-10 times more here. Remember that when trip planning.

Stay for 4 nights and am a returning guest. This was my 4th stay! It is always a great place, close to the airport with good transportation. Good facilities and the island is always well-kept! Plenty of options for F&B and a great place for families! The dive team on the island are excellent with great dive spots located around the island!

Holiday Inn Kandooma is a hidden gem, mostly thanks to staff at the resort - kind, sweet people that want to help you in any way possible. Thank you for another wonderful stay at your island and thank you for making me feel special on my birthday. The beach, all the facilities and our bungalow were sparkling clean. Breakfast was delicious, such variety of food that we did not get bored after a week. My daughters loved the ladies at the kids club and all the craft activities they offered.

It was our third time so we already knew about the ugly view towards the constructions happening on the local island. Not the hotel’s fault and not in their control at all, but this is a warning to fellow guests that they may be a bit disappointed with the view if they are looking for an unspoiled tropical island…

We ended up organizing our own boat to the island, so the transportation fee was waived. In addition, we did the free diving with the stay, and overall it was very nice. The dives are at 8:30am, 10:30am and 2:30pm, so we were able to arrive on our first day, drop off our bags at check in, and join the 10:30am dive. It was very easy to organize, and the staff was wonderful. Equipment was also included, which was appreciated. As far as the accommodation, the beach villa was quite nice. It was spacious, clean and there was plenty of room to spread out. Unfortunately it rained for most of our stay, but if the weather had cooperated, we would have taken advantage of more of the activities offered. There is outdoor ping pong, billiards and volleyball. They also offer free use of kayaks for one hour each day. We did that one day, but you could only take the kayaks along the western side of the island, between Kandooma and Guraidhoo, which didn't leave much to explore, really. One thing we really enjoyed was the breakfast buffet. There were so many options, and we were able to try new foods every day.

The wifi was a little slow.

Very comfortable room, incredible beach, reasonable quality buffet. Diwi, from restaurant, was amazing, she was always with a smile and very attentive, she was the highlight of the staff. Also a young Indonesian man was very nice, couldn’t get his name but also from restaurant.

The food is very repetitive, when asking for a 2nd drink always took more than 30 minutes to come, had to ask several times for it. The quality is good but almost the same everyday.

I was well taken care of by your team when I experienced abdominal pain during my stay. Jane noticed I was unwell and arranged for in-house doctor when my condition worsened during the buggy ride back to our villa on the morning of May 10, 2024. Prior to that, Alex at the reception strongly advised me to see a doc when he knew I was unwell. I was surprised that the doc did not charge me for the consultation although the medicine doesn't work for me. 4. I greatly appreciate John's service recovery with the late check-out and the sparkling wine. 5. Most of the staff we encountered, including the security, engineer, and gardening teams were friendly. I am glad that I chose the Holiday Inn Resort for our first trip to Maldives. I know we will be well taken care of no matter what happened and that has proven to be true!

The hotel should honor the booking or tax rates if there is a miscalculation due to human error or a system glitch. We ended up paying more than what was confirmed at the time of booking, but we didn't make a fuss since it was still a very good deal. I also shared 2 additional points with the hotel directly, and they were addressed immediately.

Our family recently had the pleasure of experiencing the most delightful stay at Holiday Inn Kandooma. From the moment we booked our stay, we knew we were in for something special. Opting for a family-friendly offer that didn't break the bank, we found ourselves nestled in a charming beach house right by the water. The views from our balcony were worth the 11-hour travel to get to this beautiful place. The tranquility of the surroundings was a welcome change from our bustling lives back home. Unlike some other resorts we've visited, Kandooma Island struck the perfect balance - not too crowded, not too noisy. Initially, we worried about feeling bored, but soon followed the island chill. Snorkeling, suntanning and enjoying lovely resort's cuisine was just more than enough for us. At the end we spend our best family holidays. We hope to come back one day:) many thanks to the staff, always making sure everyone feels special here at this little ocean paradise.

The standard accommodation - in 2 adults and 2 kids we had to take 2 bungalows - were excellent but by far too expensive. No value for money. The beach and the sea are just ok, no comparison with other Maldives islands

We had the most incredible experience at this resort. Everything was perfect. We loved the resort, the staff provided world class service and they went out of their way to ensure all of our needs were met. The food was excellent and lots of choice, the cocktails were perfect and we loved our beach house. The bed and pillows were so comfortable also. I really enjoyed my strolls around the island, chats with the staff and watching the sun set. I can't wait to come back. An extra mention to the baker, who made the most incredible pastries and cakes during our stay and the Cocktail waiter who has perfected the Mai Tai.

I was browsing to find an affordable and not too overpriced water villa and found this! Thank God. We stayed there for 3 nights. 2 nights for water villa & beach villa and final night at 3BR villa with pool. All rooms are spacious! Staff from front office, servers, chefs were all friendly. All buffet meals from breakfast to dinner were all excellent. We enjoyed everything. There was a cultural performance during one of the dinner buffet and they serve local Maldivian food. But of course there were Western food as well, so you don't have to worry. They offer complimentary snorkeling, free kayak and paddleboard as well although there are other ranges of activities that you need pay. It wasn't too crowded when we stayed there. They even offered us a late check out until 4pm-ish and our boat back to Male was at 5:30pm. They even had staff who assisted us with our luggages from the ferry until the check-in counter at the airport. That's probably because we stayed at all inclusive 3BR villa with pool on the final night. But we were super grateful with the help!

I wish they could have bicycle for the guests to roam around the island. And view from the 3BR Villa with pool is actually another island with a construction going on. But I understand we can't do much on it. Other than that, no complaints!
